I live in the area and come here pretty often. Its true… most of the food is frozen. It’s not a five star meal, but it’s tasty, diner food. The gyro and onion rings are delicious and breakfast sandwiches are good, but what I come here for is the homemade(by the owner herself) REDVELVETCAKE. It is to die for! I’d give the rest of the food and her son 3 stars, but that cake alone bumps it up to 4 stars. I’ve actually had her bake one whole cake for me to purchase.

This place may have been good years ago or should I say centuries ago. Gyro was airport quality. All 3 pieces of meat looked identical size and shape. Fries straight out of the OreIda bag. Price was $ 10.00…not worth $ 4.00 Follow up: Luckily my lunch did not haunt me at night. Will still never return.

Watch what you order. I ordered a cheese steak combo the O-rings instead of fries. They said it would be a little extra. They wound up charging me the same price for a cheese stake by itself and a large O-ring and i got less O-rings. RIPOFF! Seems when its not busy they try to put a little extra in their pocket. The cheese steak keeps getting smaller and smaller less meat more bun. Only go there if you have no other options.

Food is not very good for a business that claims to have been in business for such a long time. My burger was just a burned frozen patty that tasted like soy. The people were not bad but not nice either. The inside looked like a cafeteria I would have eaten in while in Afghanistan. The price was not great as I got a simple burger plate + drink and it was $ 12…

I have to say, Olympic Flame is one of those greasy spoons that fits like a warm blanket. I’ve become a big fan of calling in a breakfast order and picking it up on my way to work. It’s so much faster and much more delicious than a fast food drive through. The biscuits are to die for, especially the bacon egg and cheese biscuit makes you realize just how disgusting McDonalds are. Fair prices, friendly counter service, lots of parking including the abandoned gas station next door for big rig trucks. One morning I stopped in and picked up 20 bacon egg and cheese biscuits for my office, and my coworkers went bananas for them. The Olympic Flame isn’t much to look at, but think Silver Skillet Counter Service with a smile, and you will be happy. I haven’t been for lunch, but I can only assume it’s as good as their breakfast.

Onion rings, five stars. Salads, five stars. Chili dog, five stars. I got a fried egg biscuit and it was absolutely sensational. Real eggs, not those fake eggs they use at the chain restaurants. I’ve also had their double hamburger with cheese, and that would really not be a five star sandwich for me, but the fact that some of their other stuff is so good, even the hamburger will do in a pinch, although I would rather get a Wendy’s than an Olympic. I’ve also had their breakfast platters, and they are just to heavy on the carbs, with grits and biscuits, but I usually feel this way about any breakfast place. One really special item they have is their Greek salad, which has feta cheese. I don’t know of a better diner style salad like this anywhere else nearby.

I expected this place to be a lot like Zesto’s or perhaps a notch or two better than that and I was disappointed. I ordered a cheeseburger combo with fries /tots and a coke. It was not cheap(almost ten bucks) but tasted like a cheap burger combo from burger king or checkers. The tater tots were well done and piping hot and were actually not that bad but what I did not like was they were weirdly leaving some kind of odd burn /melt marks on the plastic plate where they were touching it /sitting on it. This place appears to be a family owned operation /independent business but I think the food here could also be a whole lot better for the price point. I doubt I will return when there are so many other good cheap place close by. Perhaps really deserves 2.5 stars; however, I will round down to two.

Not sure why the reviews are so low. This is great locally owned fast food restaurant. Friendly staff & Good Food!

Let me put it this way. I’ve worked less than a block from this restaurant for over ten years and have only eaten there a handful of times. First, let me be fair and give a couple positives. The staff always seems fairly efficient and friendly. Also, their biscuits are as good as most fast food restaurants. That being said, the rest of the food I have eaten there is pretty terrible. I really enjoy a good«greasy spoon» type restaurant which makes the overlooked burgers, undercooked fries and bland chili I’ve had here all the more disappointing.

Just your traditional diner-type fare. Frozen burgers thrown on a fry grill. Fries are good. Lots of choices, from fish and shrimp, to burgers and dogs. Service is fast. Foods not that expensive. It is what it is folks. Good food if you’re in a hurry and in that area, which doesn’t have a lot else around besides Nuevo Laredo.

If you’ve recently refinanced your house or are looking to blow your tax return on a frozen hamburger patty then this is your place. If I’m going to spend 9 dollars on a burger, fries and a drink id like to have a little quality. But if you are willing to hand over your first born for a side of Bacon…

God awful. All frozen food that just doesn’t taste good. I ate lunch there once and that was enough.

I had driven by this place for quite a while and finally went to check it out. It was not all that I had hoped it would be. First off, it’s counter service. I was hoping this would be the kind of greasy spoon where Flo turns up at your table, smacking her gum and offering to bring me something to drink as she calls me ‘Sugar’. That didn’t happen. But, that’s not really the fault of the restaurant. I ended up getting a grilled cheese, fries and a coke and thought I paid way too much for what I received. I’ll have to try the place again after my expectations have been lowered, but at this point, I couldn’t really recommend that anyone go out of their way to check this place out. I was hoping it would be the perfect replacement for the sadly missed Fat Boy’s on Concord. But, Olympic Flame, you are no Fat Boy’s.

The ham on my breakfast sandwich was really tough, but they have awesome sweet tea!!! If you’re on the west side and are in the need for a delicious beverage, head on over to Olympic Flame and order the 44oz large.

Despite the fact this is the only restaurant within walking distance from my home, I had not tried it until just a couple days ago. Olympic Flame is a little restaurant that is only open M-F from 7am-3pm, so if you don’t work in the area, you’ll rarely see it open. Well my wife took yesterday off so we ended up having lunch there. The food was good, as far as diner food goes, though it could have been a little hotter than it was when I got it. We came after the lunch rush, so I dont know. I wasn’t expecting much, but it was cheap. I’d come back, because, well, its in the neighborhood.
