Pappi Tates Auto Service

When I got my first oil change in Atlanta, another shop told me I had a massive oil leak and that as a result, they wouldn’t be able to complete the service. Almost in tears and freaking out, I gave Pappi Tates a call, mostly because they were close to where I was living.
And I am so thankful I did.
After looking at my car, Pappi Tates assured me I had some minor oil leaks, completely normal for a car as old as mine, and told me that they had cleaned up the oil pan as well as changing the oil like I originally wanted. Since then, they have fixed a number of issues on my old Saturn, including the exhaust system, O2 sensor, suspension and more, and when my car required servicing that they weren’t able to provide, referred me to a competent and trustworthy place that could. They’ve also repaired the engine mounts on my boyfriends Honda, and I know that when my new Hyundai requires service (hopefully not any time soon!), Pappi Tates is where I will be going.

I took my vehicle in because it was overheating. My work is one block away and I know them, so brought it in thinking they’d do a good job. They charged me $ 900 to fix a part. One week later, it was overheating again. I took it back and they said it is probably something else and asked for another $ 400. When I said I didn’t want to play guessing games at this cost, they said the heads were probably cracked… then why didn’t they test that originally? When I questioned them, they became irritated brought my car to me. I took it to another mechanic around the corner, who did a complete diagnostic, replaced all the spark plugs, wires, hoses and cleaned the EGR valve and more for $ 750 and my car runs perfectly. He told me my heads were fine and that my car wasn’t overheating, it was the gauge.

my husband and i have been taking our car here for years for repairs. we hear all our friends complain about their mechanics and them getting things wrong or charging extra for stuff they don’t need — Pappi’s doesn’t do this. honest, timely, good communication and affordable prices. take your car here and you won’t be sorry :)
