Bartender was not only rude and disrespectful to more than a few of us in our group, he also tried overcharging me twice. Once questionedpolitely, he lost it. I’m sure he’s used to taking advantage of drunk college students. I’ll NEVER go back and support a place that doesn’t value their customers

I had a great time at this bar! If you are like me and want to be able enjoy a fun evening with good jazz/piano music this is the place for you. Lot’s of seating, great atmopshere, will definitely go back

What’s not to love about a piano bar? Good music, cheap drinks, and a fun atmosphere. We didn’t stay long(maybe an hour) but we had a great time while we were there. I would recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

Fun atmosphere, but terrible service. The manager himself was berating customers, making people feel uncomfortable and unhappy, for not tipping enough. After being a bar waitress for several years I understand how frustrating it can be to be stiffed, and have been several times. But begging or guilting customers into tips is absolutely unprofessional behavior and should be abhorred. Patrons should check out all the nearby bars for respectful service and a good time– there are plenty of better options in the area. Disgusted with the treatment of customers. Will never return.

If 0 stars were an option, that would be my choice. The sole reason for this is that the female restroom attendant physically assaults the clientele. She pushes females out the door if the line is too long. I witnessed her grab a woman’s hands and shove her out the door without explaining to the woman why — not that any reason would have justified her actions anyway. On top of this, the attendant is rude and uses foul language toward clientele. Hopefully she will be let go by management. This should not be tolerated.

This bar is one of the WORST in Buckhead. I’ve visited 3 times and each time has been a terrible experience. The 60 year old bouncer was beyond rude. He attempted to search my bag by pulling on it and yanking it from my shoulder. This was after several women had walked in before me — all with purses that were not searched. Later in the night he noticed a friend of mine with his hat on backwards and left his door post and entered the bar to yell at him to turn it around. Pretty sure preventing someone underage from entering the bar is more important than getting someone to flip their hat bill. After leaving the bar I politely questioned the reason behind the hat rule to which he had no answer. «It’s just the rule.» They now have a bathroom attendant in the ladies restroom — who instructed me to leave my drink on the bathroom floor outside of the stall instead of bringing it in with me. Not only dose that break the golden rule of never leaving your drink unattended but what about the obvious disgusting floor on which she wanted me to leave my drink?!? I refused and she continued to become verbally aggressive. Other than the rude staff the bar is filthy and overcrowded — not recommended for someone of class.

One of the best bars in Buckhead! Great live music, atmosphere and service! The bartenders and staff are awesome.

Balding men beware. They don’t like hats and if you have your hat on backwards? Forget about it. The hat police will come grab you and forcibly remove you from the bar. If one of your topsiders falls off as you are being dragged out, they will laugh in your face and you will have to send a friend back in to retrieve it. It’s ok though, because the mall security guard/bouncer is easily taunted in a classic edition of stoop kid’s afraid to leave his stoop. On the bright side, they don’t hire female bartenders, so I don’t get swindled into tipping 30% as I so frequently do at Lost Dog. For this I give 2 stars.

I’ve been here a couple times now and I’m not abnormally impressed. It was super crowded and there was no room to move. The worst part was that the bartenders first told us our small drink was $ 6 and the tall/large was $ 7 and when we got our tab at the end of the night, it was A LOT higher than expected! All of a sudden, the bartenders said the small drinks were $ 8 and the talls were $ 10! How can they just change prices like that?!? Not cool at all! We went on Saturday night and we had a lot of fun because it was a special event but I wouldn’t run back. There was parking right outside the bar for several different prices. The first parking lot said one price and the second lot, right next to it, was a lower price sooooo lots of parking competition! The best part was the live band which was really good and plenty of dancing on the small dance floor. It’s a pretty young, college-type crowd. This particular bar was just okay but there’s definitely better in Buckhead!

I observed an ugly incident early one night and the manager handled it about as poorly as it could be handled — he showed a sad combination of ignorance, a hot temper and complete lack of respect for anyone. Avoid!

Several years ago, the original Park Bench fell in disrepair. The review I wrote there clearly shows that«Hulk was there and he was not happy» Sometime around May of 2013, I returned to the new location. It was a far cry from the somewhat abandoned locale. The new Park Bench is really great. There are many restrooms, and there are about ¾ bars to get your drink on at. They have an ample stage, and dance area is large. There is a large patio with(if I recall well) a projection TV or something along those lines. I recommend this venue for live music. I am not a Buckhead fixture anymore, but I will travel to this joint whenever any of my favorite performers hit that stage.

Since this bar relocated I’ve been back a few times. The bar is pretty big and there is plenty of room to dance, hang out on the patio, etc. This might be one of the biggest bars in Buckhead, at least it seems like it. Bathroom was super clean! I need to check out the dueling pianos on thursday nights.

Since I wrote my last review, Park Bench has started carrying Fat Tire and SweetWater IPA which is a definite improvement in the beer selection. The mixed drinks have been good as well. So I wanted to update my review. We mostly come for the dueling pianos on Thursday night — which is always a good crowd and a fun Thursday night. The manager and bartenders are nice and fast — there’s never a long wait for drinks. Weekends are fun here too!

I really enjoy going to Park Bench for their live music on the weekends and especially for Dueling Pianos on Thursday. They always have a good crowd and while it’s loud, very loud, you can always sneak out to the back patio for some fresh air and a little bit quieter setting. I would love to see them carry a wider selection of beers(maybe like a Fat Tire or Sam Adams?), but otherwise would recommend them for going out.

The Good Doctor was ship-lagged from his travels and decided it was best to venture out in the night to this hometown watering hole for some brandy. Little did I know what an adventure was in store! The locals had just finished celebrating a game a American football– an SEC championship I believe. The moods were mixed at best. There was quite a large group of young gentlemen in crimson shirts adorned with elephants(presumably they had just returned from an elephant hunt and were celebrating the spoils of their victory). These gentlemen grew quite fond of the brews offered and began yelling«Roll Tide», in which the Good Doctor, always one to immerse himself in local culture, joined. A festive night to say the least. The Good Doctor is fond of this place and will return.

I ended up going bar hopping with some friends for New Year’s and this was our last stop. It wasn’t as crowded as the other bars along the street and it was filled with. a bunch of old white guys(hey, if that’s your thing!) There was a live rock band playing for most of the time we were there and when they weren’t playing, there was a dj playing clubby music. There were a few different bar areas and even a couple of skeeball tables. Imagine a bunch of drunken people playing skeeball — very entertaining. Security was great, kicking out people who’ve had too much to drink and whatnot. In fact, they were so great at finding super drunken people, that they were about to kick out one of my friends until I decided to take care of him haha.

So, I’m totally feeling the new Park Bench! Wow, this place is still your Neighborhood Bar, but also an upscale pub, if you will. They did a great job with the build-out, and it’s large enough to socialize as well as listen to their weekend live bands, which are solid too. Nice looking crowd… yes, pretty girls:) Drink prices are very reasonable, compared to other bars. Oh, heard they will be building an outside patio too… woohoo! I’ll definitely be a regular… I believe the address is wrong… it’s 34 Irby st., NW(across the st. from 5 Paces)

The new place rocks. Good looking people and NOT a sausage factory. Loaded with College girls. Perfect white, yuppy, college crowd a bar you would expect to find in Athens after a football game.
