This is a great place to know about if you are in pain … they sincerely try to help you out here. The caveat is: you have to be «referred» by your own physician because … in the eyes of the government and health insurance companies … you are not competent to make sound decisions about your own health. I had an experience with Physicians Pain Specialists in 2004 due to a herniated disk in my lower back and now I have returned here in early 2014 with same issue. The doctor I was assigned to in the past has moved on(probably retired) and this time I was assigned to Dr. Josphine Clingan. I suspect that the doctors here rely on their nursing staff quite heavily. Thus I found all of the staff I came in contact with to be very professional and personable. Dr. Clingan was equally personable with a great attitude to try to help you. One of the best things about PPS is that if you leave a phone message they get back to you before the day is out. That is not expected in these type of businesses and quite appreciated. The practice is on the grounds of St. Joseph’s Hospital professional building and that is an extremely busy area. Traffic is always congested and the(paid) parking garage is frequently crowded. There seems to be some kind of valet parking available if you seek it out. The only problems I found with PPS are not their fault. Rather it has to due with«laws» passed since I was a patient here in 2004. Overeager politicians«committed» to stopping the use of drugs for pain(the horror of it all!) have passed laws severely restricting dispensing of such pills. God forbid you people stay out of our lives and give yourselves a good look before worrying about us unwashed masses.
