Ok, I get it. Gluten free, fat free, health conscious, organic, no fossil fuels, better for the environment and just a better at life type of pizza. They’ll even deliver to your house in an electric car if you want(joking but not). I am sure the pizza box is biodegradable… Honestly, I don’t really care about any of this. I mean thats nice, but I don’t go into restaurants thinking«how good is this going to be for Mother Nature??!». I do go thinking, «How good is this going to be in my belly!»… The answer: It’s average pizza, that is a tad bit overpriced b/c they are apparently using these amazing organic ingredients that pretty much taste the same if not worse than Dominos pizza(new recipe that is). Paid a little over $ 24 bucks for a pizza that I could have probably ate 2 of. The service was good, and we went near the time that they had first opened. The manager/owner was pleasant as well, and actually came over to see how are pizza was. Can’t say for sure that I’ll be back… but who knows maybe.

If you’re looking for vegan and/or gluten free pizza and brownies in a hip, clean environment, then this place could be a hit. I have no such diet restrictions and have had better(regular) crust and tastier ingredients elsewhere. It wasn’t bad pizza by any stretch of the imagination, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. I have seen other complaints written here, but the service was good when I went.

The pizza, sandwiches and desserts were all delicious. I loved the texture and taste of the crust and even though the cheese was just your normal run of the mill Follow Your Heart Brand it tasted better than any package of follow your heart I’ve ever eaten. There was only one problem. Well, we had a couple problems that night but there was really only one problem when it came to the food. The pizza only comes in one size, unless you come at lunch and then you can get a personal sized pizza. Even though my date was no stranger to vegan pizza and didn’t mind eating it, it was a bit of a nuisance that the only way we could get exactly the kind of pizza we wanted was to order two separate pizzas. With just one pizza, one sandwich, a couple beers and a free dessert our bill ended up being double of what we’re used to when we go out and get pizza and beer(usually at Village Pizza Co.) As much as I enjoyed the pizza at Pizza Fusion I doubt I’ll go back there unless it’s during lunch time, otherwise it’s just an overpriced hassle for me. I’d rather just go to Village Pizza Co., spend $ 3 on a generously portioned slice of pizza that has everything I want on it and call it a day. For complete review head to:

Pizza was really good — everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Service was also very good. I appreciate what this earth friendly restaurant is doing. My 8-year-old son has severe food allergies(egg, dairy, nuts) and he got the free-range chicken sandwich, even though he could have eaten the Vegan pizza. He is pretty hard to please, but has now deemed this his new favorite restaurant. He even ate the spinach that came on the side of his sandwich, which he has never done before. The waitress suggested the Vegan brownie for dessert, which was also very good. We could not tell it from a regular brownie. The only bad thing I can say about this place is that it is pretty pricey for a pizza joint. I guess the rent is expensive with it being in Buckhead, but $ 55 for a family of four to eat pizza and a chicken sandwich is a bit steep. The only choice of sodas are the bottled natural sodas that are $ 2.50 a pop. We all said almost in unison when we were pulling out of the parking lot«we could have eaten at Fellini’s for less than half the cost of Pizza Fusion. We will probably go back, but not as often as our regular trips to Fellini’s.

This place is AMAZING. I went with my friend for a casul night and I expected an okay slightly-overpriced organic joint. But I was SO wrong. The prices were very reasonable(especially for organic and locally grown produce), the service was great and the food was delicious. We had two lovely glasses of the Sonoma Pino Grigio with our Farmers Market pizza and it was unbelievably good! To top off the great experience, the owner of the store checked in on us, twice! I will be going back to this place again and again. The flat bread-style crust and fresh produce alone would bring me back — and the eco-friendly atmosphere and business model is an added plus.

Made me think about joining Unilocal just to write a review of this place. liked the pizza, but thought the concept was weak. our server asked us if we’d ever been to Fusion. No, we responded. First thing she told us was that the table we were sitting in came from PA or NJ or someplace and was reclaimed. i wondered what the carbon footprint was of trucking it in. for a place that touts itself as so green that it’s saving the planet i thought it fell way short of the standard it sets for itself. i saw lots of places where they were wasting energy. another thing: organic meat? are they feeding it organic corn? i’d rather eat local, sustainable, or humanly raised that organic. personally i’m not familiar with organic meat, but i doubt its eating organic grass. it was pretty slow in there when i went in, for whatever that’s worth. the pizza was good, i had one with pesto and a few veggies. was quite a good pie. planning to go back and try a gluten free option. would have tried more but the pizzas were only offered in large sizes so it’s impossible to sample a few things.

Server was very cool with talking about what’s good, what’s not good on the menu. Also recognized past visitors, made them feel quite welcome. I loved the sweet raspberry vinaigrette, and they were very cool about mixing and matching toppings from specialty pizzas. Big plus: easy parking deck Nice selection of wines, and although nothing quite my taste there was a good variety of imports. Also, they’re organic. If you couldn’t tell already.

I didn’t know the overall concept of the place before I got there, and so when I arrived I was excited! The place was all organic, recycled, re-used, you name it. And the prices were reasonable. Now, I’m not a vegetarian. The only problem I had was there were only two pizza options with meat. But the one we got was delish, and the service was great. I even liked the pen they give to sign the check!

Being gluten intolerant I’ve long ago given up on pizza — or had to be willing to pay the price. So obviously, I was excited once I read Unilocalers review this place. I have to say our server was friendly and funny, food came out orderly, even convinced us to try out the gluten-free brownies. The manager, everyone — was really on their toes and kind. The most important part though, the food whether it was my gluten free order or the traditionally prepped pizzas — they all tasted good. I took a nibble of the regular pizza. .. and really felt like my tastebuds weren’t getting shafted by a lack of gluten. I’d recommend to fellow non-gluten tolerant folks, and will likely return soon.

I really WANT to give this place a great review. They are environmentally friendly, from the organic menu items to the reclaimed wood tables and low-VOC paint, to the hybrid delivery vehicles– very cool. And they have gluten-free menu items! Including pizza crust! Woohoo! However, they have not gotten my pizza order correct– three times. This is not merely an inconvenience, I actually have several food allergies, so it is important that my order is exact, or I could be sick for days. First visit: around 9pm-ish, sit down inside. Not busy. Server was really nice, explained all about the restaurant, its mission, the menu, etc. She’s great. BF orders BBQ chicken pizza on whole wheat crust. I order Gluten-free crust with olive oil, goat cheese, artichokes, & calamata olives. I clearly explain that I am allergic to milk and tomatoes, so NO sauce or cheese, please. Waitress understands. I am starving. And really, really excited to get to eat pizza in a restaurant for the first time in YEARS! Takes a little while, but that’s ok. It’s GF *pizza*(note the anticipation ;) BF’s pizza comes out great. Looks delicious! Presentation is nice. My pizza arrives. Gluten-free crust: check. Goat cheese and organic veggie toppings: check. However, it has red sauce AND olive oil(what???) and regular cheese AND goat cheese. Huh? Even if I didn’t have food allergies, that is just weird. So, we send it back. Figured the kitchen got confused with my special request(which was not really all THAT special since all of these were actual options on the create-your-pizza menu). I’m starving(did I already mention that?) BF is letting his pizza get cold as we wait for the new order. The super-nice waitress comes back over and apologizes, because apparently the kitchen messed up the SECOND attempt at this pizza. At this point, the Mgr says the meal will be on him, and also brings me a salad. The third version of the pizza comes out correctly– and it was delicious! Mgr gives us coupons for next visit– 10% off. OK. Not the best experience, but they are redeemed in my eyes. I decided to give them another shot a few weeks later. This time, I called for take-out. Given the previous experience, I was VERY explicit in the order, explaining what NOT to put on the pizza as well as what to put on it. Guy on phone says he gets it. BF goes to pick up order, and… you guessed it! Sauce, cheese, etc. At that point, I would have just said forget it and left, but he has more patience than I do, and had them remake the pizza. And it was, again, delicious. So, the food is good, the ambience is good, the staff are nice, but personally, I won’t bother to go back because they can’t get my order right. Oh well. You probably won’t have this problem if you don’t have an unusual order. ***UPDATE**** OK, so I know I said I wouldn’t go back, but the temptation of GF pizza within 5 min of my apartment is just too much to resist. So I have returned 2 more times since my past review– once for the Georgia Organics fundraiser and once for dinner. Update #1: I have now tried the GF(vegan!) brownie! OMG! It is so delicious. I am not kidding when I say it is probably the best chocolate cake I’ve had EVER, even before I had to eliminate gluten. Wow. I’m honestly not that much of a chocolate fan, but THIS is GOOD! Highly recommend for anyone, GF or not. BF(who is not gluten-free) tried it too and also thought it was delicious. Update#2: I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff, the owner of Pizza Fusion and he is super-wonderful. He actually saw my original review on Unilocal(yikes) but was completely understanding. Last night, with his help, I think they finally figured out why my orders keep getting messed up. Basically, it is the way the computer spits out the order for the kitchen ticket– I hope they can figure out a way to fix this now that they know why it comes out funny. Oh, also tried the house wine, which was great(of course it’s been over a year since I’ve had wine, so who knows if my opinion is worth anything, LOL) And our server told us that they also carry 2 gluten-free beers. I don’t like beer anyway, so I won’t be trying those, but that is good info for other GF diners :)

Delicious and quick. I love a pizza place that can fulfill both of those needs. I met a colleague at Pizza Fusion for lunch, and the place was not crowded, service was excellent and the food was divine. We both ordered sandwiches and salads, and all was fresh and very interesting. Eat at Pizza Fusion if you’re in the neighborhood, or even just a short drive from the neighborhood. I’d hate to see such a cool place not make it. Enjoy!

Okay, this was the first time I was recognized for a review that I wrote previously. I’ve lost my Unilocal virginity. This time I took MR(my wife), and kids numbered 1, 4, and 5; it was late(~10pm) and they were all hungry. It was great to see Seth again and this time Ricki waited on us. Again, just a real solid experience — we got in, sat down, ordered an EXCELLENT salad(same as last time) and several pizzas. The attention from the wait staff was good without being suffocating(and we were the only ones there at that time of the night) and we could kind of let our hair down.

If you’re a thin-n-crispy pizza fan, I think you’ll really like this pizza joint. The ambience is bright and comfortable. Not too stuffy and not too casual either. The important part, though, is that the pizza is just really yummy. I don’t even have a gluten allergy and I enjoyed the gluten-free pizza. I thought the beer selection was good, too. They have some unique brews I hadn’t heard of — really enjoyed them. If you’re a deep dish style pizza fan, it may not be right for you, but otherwise — when you’ve got pizza on the brain — this is a great little spot.

It had been a minute since I’d been to Pizza Fusion, and yesterday I went in for lunch. Delighted to find a number of changes to their already great menu… First, all the Specialty Pizzas, originally sized for 2 – 3, now come in a personal size also! Instead of being in the $ 16 – 20 range for the delicious concoctions, they are $ 7 – 9. Smart, and perfectly sized for one, or even for two if you share something else. Second, they’ve added to and expanded the salad and starter part of the menu. The Chicken Bruschetta salad(pulled chicken, mozz, tomato, red onion, greens) is the one I want to try first. Third, they’ve changed the recipe on a few pizzas, including the Farmer’s Market veggie pizza that I love. Instead of broccoli there’s now zucchini, and instead of crimini mushrooms they use large slices of portabellos. I can’t remember if they were always there, but there are also artichoke hearts, and then the pile is rounded out with red onion and both mozzarella and provolone cheese. I was very happy with all the changes!

I’ve heard a lot about Pizza Fusion and had a chance to go there tonight. Ever since hearing that they serve gluten-free pizza, I was curious to try it. One of the foods I miss the most is pizza. Have to say, it is probably the best tasting gluten-free I’ve had. It actually tasted like pizza, unlike most gluten free foods. I was impressed and surprised. There is also a good selection of gluten-free beers. Service was prompt and the overall atmosphere was good. It was a pizza joint and that is a good thing. Since my first review, I have been back a few times and after getting over the excitement of the GF pizza, I started to realize that it runs me $ 50+ for a family of four, which is a lot for pizza. Upside, the pizza is still good, downside it is quite pricey. And considering that more cheaper GF pizza options are opening up around Atlanta, I would be hard pressed to make the effort to drive to Buckhead when I can drive around the corner and get the same thing cheaper.

I kind of went here by accident, but I’m glad I did. I was driving down Peachtree trying to find some takeout for lunch and just happened to see a sign saying something about a lunch special. As I learned from my pizza box, the draw of Pizza Fusion is that they use mostly organic ingredients and use environmentally friendly products/practices. I’m kind of a sucker for organic stuff, but if you’re not, be advised that you’d probably be happier getting your pizza elsewhere. Plenty of cool salads and pizzas on the menu, even a few sandwiches. I went with the lunch special, which included a personal pizza, a side salad, and a Boylan soda or vitamin water, all for 10 bucks. Not bad. Though unnerved by the dressing coming in a packet, I was very pleased with the salad; fresh field greens with ribbons of carrot, homemade croutons, and, the best part, fresh basil! Fresh herbage should be in *every* salad. As for my pepperoni pizza, it came with silly looking HUGE pepperoni slices. The crust was nothing too special, but the sauce was awesome. Would be perfect topped with roasted zucchini and feta. Also of note, I saw that they serve organic beer and wine??! I don’t know that I’ve ever seen such things offered in a restaurant. That alone is enough to draw me back for dinner!

I finally had the opportunity to check this place out a few weeks ago for lunch. I’m all about organic food and places where they have a large selection of vegetarian options. It was scary empty and I wasn’t sure if they were open or not. We were quickly seated to a table and the waiter went through his spiel of how everything is recycled and organic and fresh. I thought it was a pretty cool concept and looked forward on trying the food out. We started with the bread sticks and I ordered the veggie pizza. It took longer than I expected for the food to come out especially since there were only like three tables filled with people. Also, the pizza came out first and the bread sticks didn’t arrive until after half of the pizza was gone! I’m not really a huge fan of cracker thin pizza… I’m a total Chicago style pizza guy so I wasn’t hard core in love with the crust, even though I appreciated that I could get it in multi-grain. I enjoyed the fresh and different vegetable toppings on the pizza and wish there was just a bit more sauce. What else was different… oh, there was no cheese. maybe I should have added that too although I thought most pizza would come out with cheese on it… my bad. The best part were the bread sticks! You had two options to select from in your basket, a multi-grain stick or an organic white stick. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the organic white stick much better! Plus the tomato sauce that came with the sticks was pretty awesome. I would probably come here again if I were in the Buckhead area, but wouldn’t make an effort to drive here if I were craving pizza.

The organic pizza was great here. Having your choice for gluten-free pizza crust was nice as well. They also serve organic wines which is a plus. I did feel it was starting to get a little pricey for a pizza. Like if you want this type of cheese, it’s a few dollars more. And if you want organic that, it’s a few dollars more. I will come back when i feel like going out and being healthier(and driving 30 min to the middle of buckhead). But, it is hard to pay $ 25 for an organic gluten-free pizza, that i can get at Whole Foods for $ 11. And the whole foods one is just as tasty. This is one of the few LEED certified businesses in Atlanta. Everything in the place is either recycled or reclaimed materials. They even ask you to return the pizza box to them for recycling– nice. I would give it 4 – 5 stars if it was lighter on the wallet.

«We aim to be the most environmental, organic restaurant in the country with the smallest carbon footprint of any place around!» Our server delivered this polemic in equal parts perky and smug. I smiled and nodded and thought to myself, «Ummmm…okay. Good for you guys. But how’s the pizza?» It’s a rare thing that’ll get me to Buckhead. But with my girl having had a hard day, I knew that she needed something to make her feel better. Pizza was the prescription. However, she also being newly gluten-free made the job a little harder. Therefore Pizza Fusion. The space was… competent. I wouldn’t call it gorgeous as it wasn’t. It was just… competent. It’s like the guy equivalent of wearing a button down and khaki pants. Nothing necessarily wrong with the outfit, but it sure isn’t going to jump out at you. «Can I get you drinks?» «Diet Coke please.» «Oh, we don’t carry Coke. But we DO have Boylan sodas in bottles!» Oh yeah, I forgot that Coca Cola was a bunch of planet-rapers. Still, at the rate I drink sodas and require refills, only fountain drinks will do. I ordered the triple pepper and sausage pizza. The girl built a gluten free pizza. She also decided to get the GF brownie. The GF pies are around $ 5 more than their normal pies which aren’t that cheap to begin with. Another Unilocaler called this place the Whole Foods of pizza places; that description applies in more ways than one. The pizza comes in oblong football shapes. I guess you can think of it as rustic. I personally just think that nobody in the kitchen knows how to spin dough on their fingertips. The taste though? It’s ai’it. My pizza tasted fine. I expected more sausage for the price of the pie, organic sausage or not. My girl’s pizza was ok. The crust, being gluten-free, had a strange texture to it reminiscent of frozen pizza, but overall it wasn’t so bad. The thing, though, that mattered was how much my fiancée liked it. The grin on her face said it all. «God, I haven’t had pizza in SOLONG.» She was practically vibrating out of her seat, being able to eat a pizza and a brownie at an honest-to-God restaurant. And that made me happy. So for my fat self, who cares not about my carbon footprint and believes that overprocessing puts the taste INTO food, I’d rate Pizza Fusion no more than three stars. But for the happy they gave my fiancée, I’ll boost them an extra. Four stars.

YUMMYYUMMYANDMOREYUMMY! My friend and I ate at the bar here last night. Our server was knowledgeable about the organic wine list– And dont expect a diet coke or pepsi– The drinks are funky flavored organic sodas! We first enjoyed the beadsticks– served warm, not too greasy, and perfectly bite-sized. The house-made marinara sauce is excellent! We chose the Greek pizza sans the kalamata olives– The crust was top-notch– chewy but not dough-ey, and the perfect thinness. It had tomato sauce, roma tomatoes, fresh feta chunks, artichokes and fresh basil. Generous with the toppings, in the right«ratio.» You can have organic garlic/sea salt or red pepper flakes on your pizza too. It was just enough– Four big slices each for two people. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, and the staff was very attentive. They deliver too, in those cool Smart cars! I will definitely be coming back soon! The only caveat is the priciness– The pizza comes in one size(other than the small personal size for $ 8) and ranges from $ 18 to $ 27.
