First of all, let me state that if I could replace this one star with the poop emoji, I would do so immediately! I ordered a smoothie from a so called smoothie place, and I received a bag of baby spinach(not blended) in my drink as well. Now, I’m not the best at sucking things, but even a professional couldn’t down this thing. The purpose of deciding to go with a smoothie, was to drink it and not eat it. I guess they are transitioning into a food service as well. I didn’t get this memo. When did they update the menu? Please let me know. Be sure to ask for a fork on your next visit and not a straw.

I always love a good smoothie place, and I tend to be pretty critical of them. As far as taste… This place is the bomb! I ordered a piña colada with strawberry from their ‘Lite’ menu. It was $ 4.50 for a small, worth every penny! It was absolutely delicious and so very filling. However, the service here is just awful. The staff members are rude, and they ‘work’ VERYSLOW. For two smoothies we were waiting almost 20 minutes, with NOONE in front of us. That is plain ridiculous. Luckily it was a Saturday and we didn’t really have anywhere to be, but it’s still very much an inconvenience. This planet smoothie location is hooked onto a pretzel booth too. The employees there looked absolutely miserable as well. If planet smoothie could train their staff better, I think this place would be unbeatable.

I am a big fan of planet smoothie! I do not feel like the smoothies here have as much of a powder taste to them as some of the other smoothie places. My biggest complaint about Planet Smoothie is that there are not enough locations. There are only two locations that I am familiar with in Atlanta/Buckhead, one is in the mall, which is not convienant to get to and the other is on Peachtree.

Despite having more than four people working here at any given time, it seems to take forever to get a smoothie. In their defense, the store is also connected to Auntie Anne’s and some of those employees are likely there to bake, not run a blender. Regardless, I come here a lot because it’s right outside of my store and they give a mall employee discount. Recently I snuck over while I was still working and had to run back before I got my smoothie. I asked them to hold it and I returned in about 5 – 10 minutes. Much to my surprise, they walked over to the refrigerator to get it. I mean, I guess I should have expected that, but I didn’t and it was nice to know they thought enough(and cared enough) to keep my smoothie cold while it sat. I realize they didn’t have to hold it, much less keep it refrigerated. So, I’ll continue to come here with the understanding that sometimes you have to wait for something good.
