Welcome addition to the Brookhaven area :) Friendly staff, casual, comfortable vibe with good music piped throughout the restaurant. The setting combines indoor/outdoor seating, perfect for warm spring days or cool autumn nights. I’ve yet to experience the upstairs rooftop bar — maybe that’s a summer experience. The food & drinks hit the spot if you need an after work cocktail & need your Mexican fix! The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the ingredients are fresh. The bar has a good selection of multiple spirits, from tequilas to vodkas to whiskies, in addition to beer & wine. There’s something for everyone. I like the fish /seafood options on the menu that make me feel like I can eat Mexican without sabotaging my diet! Those options are still fairly healthy, even if accompanied by jalepeno queso, right?! In all honesty, I can’t say anything was earth-shatteringly memorable(I’m looking at you chimichanga & enchiladas), but it wasn’t terrible either. It was good & notably fresh & slightly different from expectations — not in a bad way, just simply different. I haven’t tried any desserts yet, but they’re next on my list. So far so good. Nice touch to the neighborhood & can meet the needs of a variety of crowds; couples, singles, younger, older, young family, business group, locals, etc… Solid fare with classic favorite Mexican dishes plus a few inventive options, along with tasty drinks & a welcoming staff. Keep up the good work :)

Good food. Kinda pricey… Loud environment… Not a good sound set up. You literally have to yell to hear the person across the

I live around the corner so I have tried this place 5 or 6 times. I keep expecting that they’ll get over their kitchen issues, but it hasn’t happened yet. The staff is great, and the drinks are worth the trip. But avoid the food. It’s consistently some of the worst food I’ve had at a restaurant. Sometimes under-seasoned, sometimes over-seasoned, often undercooked, and consistently bad.

This is a pretty good place in a great location. Upstairs patio is great when it is warm, service is good. I think the food is just so so though… It’s not real tex mex and many of the dishes seem to be dry. But it us new clean, very social and the service is great and everyone seemed friendly.

The service for phone orders is TERRIBLE. I just tried to place a carry out order and ended up hanging up the phone. The server was extremely rude. Better tacos and service in REAL«authentic» Mexican restaurants.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Although they’re «open until 11,» the kitchen closes at 10. PURE disappointment!

Wonderful! As a Californian we know our Mexican food & that’s not something I know is too easy to find in Atlanta. this is off the chain! I had the shrimp tacos which are perfect with the flavorful black beans & amazing chorizo rice. the tomatillo salsa they give you on the side is out of this world & the prickly pear margarita is a must have. loved it! will be returning.

Amazing unique food. My mother and I decided to try this place out blinded. I was so surprised! I had the Cuban sandwich. OMG! THEFLAVOR!!! I love secret restaurants in ATL, this one has been added to the list. I had a very friendly waitress. Great experience!

The patio and bar scene are great. Nice place for kids too. I’ve tried so many dishes here but I just don’t love the food. It’s just okay food.

I was excited to try this place(something new in the Brookhaven area — yes!) and the patio/location seems great, but that’s really all my 2 stars are for. It took 25 minutes to get a server to stop by our table — he said no one was assigned to it??? We had to ask them to turn down the music twice — it was blaring to the point we couldn’t hear each other across the table. The margaritas were so tart and sugary and the food was horrible — we couldn’t eat it. We had stomach issues all night and my GF was throwing up after we left. Fail — Never going back sadly unless its to socialize and only have a diet coke. Prepare for an evening of bad food with a side of tums.

Amazing food. Best double barrel margarita ever. Mike on the rooftop is the best, he is knowledgeable about the menu and all drinks. Ask about the secret«man“garita. It will provide you with a great night. Can’t recall what dishes I ordered but it was amazing. A little pricey but definitely worth it. The flavors and freshness of the food validate the price.

This Pure is the hidden gem of all Pure Taquerias! I frequent the one in Inman Park a good bit, but since the Brookhaven location opened, I may never go back! I’ve been twice on what I thought would be very busy Saturday evenings, and I haven’t waited more than 15 minutes either time. So after your short and sweet wait, grab a margarita. Pomegranate is my favorite! But I promise they’re all good. I’m obsessed with anything that involves their grilled steak. The Carne Asada tacos are always good and the Carne a la Parrilla is out of this world! And it’s certainly big enough to share. Maybe grab an extra side if you’re especially hungry. This dish comes with jalapeño mac and cheese that is probably on my list of top 3 mac and cheese dishes I’ve ever had. Sooooo good and cheesy. But you won’t be disappointed with anything you get. This is already my favorite Pure, but it gets extra points for the rooftop patio. It’s first come, first serve seating, so get there early if you want to sit up top. But if you don’t get a spot upstairs, downstairs is also nice when they open the large garage doors and you can still feel like you’re dining al fresco. Sometimes they have a band playing upstairs, which is fun. Overall, I have only great things to say about this Pure. Great food and drinks, awesome atmosphere, and plenty of parking.

Had a GREAT time dining on their porch. I was always a fan of the original Pure(which truly was a Pure gas station, back in the day), so I was happy to see one open near my house. The food was delicious and the margarita was amazing. There was a little bit of sticker shock on the«upgraded» margarita pitcher. it was $ 48.00! Yikes! Did I mention it was wonderful, though? :)

I live in the area and whenever I drive by PURE, it is always incredibly crowded. So last night we decided to stop by and see what all the commotion is about. The atmosphere of PURE is great on the upstairs bars with misters. It was still a little too warm so we opted to go down to the inside bar where it was air conditioned. The bar itself seemed very cheap(construction wise) especially for such a new and popular place. I ordered a PURE Marg and my wife ordered a pomegranate marg. the margaritas were nothing special. Mine could have used some more flavor to it. My wife’s tasted like a simple sugar concoction. They were definitely small too. Later in the evening I tried a Texas Marg and the wife tried the one with Grand Mariner. Thoroughly disappointed. If a margarita with Grand Mariner doesn’t impress you, then obviously the margaritas are substandard. For food we started with some guacamole which was decent. Could have used some more lime, cilantro and pepper. The thick chips with the guacamole were good. The chips and salsa were decent as well. For dinner I ordered them pork tacos and my wife ordered the steak. I do not know how the pork was cooked, but rarely do you ordered pork at a Mexican restaurant and question«is this what I ordered?» The flavor profile was not good. The steak tacos were also a let down. The tortillas fell apart almost instantly so you needed a fork to eat them. The sides, rice and black beans, tasted like rice that was microwaved and the beans were not even drained correctly. Overall the food is edible, but for the price and popularity, you’d expect way better. Just shows you how Brookhaven-Chamblee is lacking new food options that a sub par Mexican restaurant can be slammed every night serving bad overpriced drinks, and even worse food. Such a let down.

I live right next to this new Pure taqueria location in Brookhaven. I have been two times since my first visit and enjoyed both experiences. We ordered Camarón tacos, Carne Asada tacos, Guacamole and a burrito. All were good but the Carne Asada tacos were by far my favorite! Fresh ingredients and authentic tacos. Kate was our bartender and she was attentive and made good suggestions. They have great house margaritas from scratch and a great selection of tequilas! We will be back!

After giving Pure a couple of months to work out their new business kinks, I finally checked out my neighborhood Pure with a girlfriend. It was 7:30pm on a weekday night and the place was packed! The families with kids were quickly transitioning out and the young adults were in full force and taking advantage of the lively patio areas and bars teeming with tequila and beer. We were told by the friendly teenage hostess that the wait for a table for 2 would be about 30 minutes so we made our way to the bar, ordered a couple of tasty margaritas(the prickly pear is really good but really sweet) and made our way to the front patio to get away from the noise(and to gossip of course). Only 15 minutes later, we scored a table inside, right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. Although we didn’t mind, it was LOUD. Patrons were obviously having a good time and enjoying their company. Festive. Portions are HUGE. I absolutely loved my Torta de Polla Milanese(crispy chicken Cuban sandwich) which came with fries and an amazing dipping sauce.(No ketchup needed.) The chicken Burrito Americana isn’t anything to write home about, but it was satisfactory and honestly, we were too full from the Cuban sandwich and chips to really even touch the burrito. Service was excellent and food comes out fast. Although the food isn’t terribly authentic, I am happy to have Pure in our neighborhood and will be back to enjoy the patio when the weather cools!

The atmosphere is great. The food and drinks weren’t bad but not great either. I ordered the Ceviche which was pretty good. The steak tacos were bland. The fish tacos were better… every thing was fresh. Had 2 margaritas and I’m still very sober. However our waiter was awesome. Marteen

Hmmm… yeah. What’s interesting about Pure Taqueria is I’ve never heard anything good about them. My sister lives in Woodstock and she has never said anything positive about it. I have close friends in Inman Park and they go out of their way to avoid it. So…they add a location to Brookhaven and morbid curiosity takes over. The wife also suggests it. What the hell. Bland. Bland. Bland. How do you cook chicken in tequila and lime and accomplish bland? How do you fry taquitos and accomplish bland? It was like they lost a bet to be flavorful. Meanwhile, there were four hostesses standing around doing God knows what at the hostess stand(you need two, Pure. Two) waitresses looking like they wanted to be somewhere else, and a food runner doing cheers and jumping jacks throughout the time we were there. It’s a shame because it’s a cool place(see photo), but I would probably just come back for beers. I say«beers» because I tried a Margarita, but it was no bueno. No real sign of tequila within. Also, my wife’s cocktail was apparently sugar water. «At least it’s cheap”-my wife.

Thought we would try this new place out and got a take out order. Unfortunately it was mixed quality at best. The steak tacos were simply put atrocious. No flavor, tough and bland meat. Probably some of the worst tacos I’ve ever had. No matter how much additional sauce we dumped onto the tacos they weren’t salvageable. Camarones a la Parrilla was a different story. Really enjoyed the spicy shrimp, the sauce and guac and veggies that were surrounding it. Unfortunately the tacos had already ruined our dining experience. We were really excited about this place coming to Brookhaven but disappointed to say the least with the quality.
