Quickshot Shooting Range

Drove a very long distance to hit this location, but was very disappointed.
1) The placed closed earlier than listed on the website.
2) There were several perhaps 4 employees there when I arrived, but the place was closing. Not a big deal, but the older gentleman at the front was rude, curt, and dismissive.
3) This didn’t seem to match the enthusiastic reviews I’d received about a welcoming atmosphere. The next day, I took my money elsewhere.

This is a great place. It looks like a boutique hotel when you arrive. Clean, well kept. The people who work there are super friendly (i.e. the range officers and the ones at the front desk). The facility has 11 lanes to shoot from. A real nice environment.

Hello 2016! This was one of my bday adventures and worth it. I have been a gun owner for quite a number or years and had about 3 different styles. I prefer revolvers and am not soo power hungry or an enthusiast, simply want to know how to shoot what I own. I have a 38 revolver and a 22 caliber.
Its unfortunate we live in these times, so its important to protect yourself and your home. I had 2 friends who joined me and 2 who whimp’t out… LOL
We arrived on a Sat morning about 11 am-​ish. We were promptly greeted by a nice young man at the counter who was very informative,… very!!! We had lots of questions and we got answers. We were shown a multitude of styles, it was kinda overwhelming. We were told the rules of engagement etc…
Next we chose what we wanted to shoot, got our guns and ammo, then entered the range. How LOUD I thought… LOL. Initially its a shocking sound (if you’re unaccustomed to it and we were. We’re nice girls but we will shoot if we must.:-) We put on our head gear, met our assistant, lined up, loaded up and aimed!
I am not the best shot but I definitely hit the target, especially after 3 or 4 targets. I was best with the 38, although its a snub nose type (not for distance)…the 22 was kinda weak but its also what I own. I highly recommend if you are a gun owner or are planning to become one, you NEED to know what the hell you are doing so get out here, attend these ranges and learn… get the knowledge you need to handle a firearm!

This is a safe and well managed range. Ventilation seemed excellent and Quickshot employees Emily or Chris were present and attentive when shooters were in the range area guiding customers regarding safety procedures, and correcting any mistakes before they could happen. For example, a shooter started to change lanes to try a companions firearm, and the employee pointed out that all firearms had to be in the case when the customer was not in the shooting bay or standing inside the red line (firing lane) area. This instruction was direct but not heavy handed. Since customers moving open firearms between shooting bays could put other customers (and employees) at risk, I appreciated this safety rule and the attentive staff present and watching the firing line.
The employees assisted with setting up targets (tape, cardboard, etc), kept spent brass swept away, and were not intrusive or chatty.
Ammunition was available for purchase and range rates were very reasonable.
I felt safe and had a pleasant range experience.

I have been to many of the Shooting Ranges across the city, and this place is by far the best. The lanes are nice and kept clean. The Range feels safe and the range officers are always on point. I usually go to the range 3 times a month and their membership is one of the best values running. The range has amenities to match the «City Folk». It looks like an Art Gallery, there are nice couches, and always have coffee and donuts or cookies for the guests. Not that I go to the range to and rate it as I would a bar, but it makes my wife feel more comfortable so I will comment on it. As all ranges out there, ammo is a little steep but not worse than any of the other ranges around. I have also visited their sister location in Charleston and it was just as nice.
If you want to shoot some cool guns, have your own, or want to take a lesson, this is the place to go. You will feel welcomed and safe and you will most definitely have a good time.

This wasn’t my first time at Quickshot, but it was the first time I’ve used the range. The prior visit was an art opening featuring my wife’s photographs of women & guns. Seems strange to talk about a gun range and an art show in the same breath. But there you have it. Quickshot is a bit unlike other ranges.
The lobby is not your typical range either — they don’t sell guns and you’ll find plenty of places to sit while you wait for friends to show up, finish their round or whatever. While you’re there, check out the art.
The staff are also perhaps cut from a slightly different cloth than what you might expect. I don’t feel like I’m entering a survivalist outpost at Quickshot. Here, you’ll get friendly greetings, friendly talk and friendly advice. Basically, a nice experience.
Range bosses can sometimes be overbearing and authoritative at many ranges. Not so here with my visit. Quickshot’s boss greeted people sincerely and very nicely tales care of business. He’s there for everyone’s safety but wasn’t jerk about it. After determining this was my first visit to his range, he briefly explained the basic rules and then left me alone, although still watchful. Mind you, I know how to handle guns so I wouldn’t expect any need for him to correct me on anything. I did notice him giving pointers to the guy in the next stall and he did so in a very courteous and helpful fashion. That’s important, I think, with those unfamiliar with guns.
The range itself is fine and pretty standard. The target trolley — or whatever you call it — worked fine and the acoustics weren’t bad.
All in all, a great range. I especially like being able to take a rifle. I own a vintage M1 carbine and occasionally like to run a few rounds through it. No problem at Quickshot.
Thankfully, although it was Full Auto Friday, nobody was shooting an automatic weapon while I was there. That can be a bit distracting when you’re concentrating to line up a shot.
Recommended for gun nuts, novices, those just wanting to have a good time, everybody.

Came with my boyfriend over the weekend and had the best time!!! Never shot a gun before and all the employees were very helpful in picking out the guns, as well as explaining proper positioning and stance, etc. it was D DAY so they also let us shoot an old school tommy gun for free and it was awesome. I’m truly more Ameican after unloading that bad boy.
Great spot for friends, couples and anyone down to have a fun time!

Ryan was an awesome instructor! He made sure that we all understood safety protocals with fire arms and made certain we were comfortable with the equipment. My 75 year old grandmother was in his class and he was very patient and thorough with her. The facility location is prime. The art work gives the facility a nice bohemian touch.

Tyler was friendly, readily instructive, and very knowledgeable of the guns. They had the Walther PPK available to rent — what a classic! The range was stylish, with cool art. The range expert was very helpful in figuring helping us learn to shoot — i will definitely come back!
Did I mention they have automatic guns?! P90 and M5 — woah!

We went to the QuickShot on Buford Highway. I took my college age daughter there to learn to shoot a handgun. I called to inquire about prices and schedule a lesson.
The price I was told was ¹⁄₃ the actual price. When I got there I came close to walking out immediately, but it was a special father-​daughter bonding activity, and we stayed. I knocked them down a star for this. It cost nearly $ 100 for a 30 minute private lesson with a Glock 9 mm handgun rental and (only) 50 bullets. You must purchase their ammo, which appears to be heavily marked-​up.
The facility is very clean and modern upstairs. Since I have never been to an indoor range I can’t compare it to others. They require hearing and eye protection, and it is still loud downstairs at the range. I believe there were 12 shooting lanes which were close together with each six separated by a glass door. I was impressed with their complete focus on safety. Everybody is being watched at every instant by the safety officers and they react quickly. Some of the shooters were sketchy individuals, including one who was not following the safety officer’s instructions. It was bad enough that he was firing a handgun, but he left and returned with a M15. A few other customers were also sketchy. I guess the alternative is to join a very expensive private gun club.

I’m still on my gun high, haha.
My bf and I have never shot guns before, so I figure it’d be a fun activity for us. I had NO idea this place was hidden away on Druid Hills. I’ll come here often probably. It’s close to us!
Parking is ok — the lines are kind of confusing, but the warehouse that Quickshot is in — the parking kind of has no choice to be.
The inside is pretty big surprisingly! They had a lounge + magazines for people to sit and entertain themselves if they had friends still shooting. Looked nice, can tell they put effort into their display.
I think all guns are displayed in their shelves. We’re new so. we just used the 9 mm Glock. Ammo was 20 bucks? We bought 2 and we were fine for an hour or so. One day I’ll use a rifle! We also received eye and ear gear. I thought ear plugs were the norm, but I was happy to use a headset :)
Our instructor was really patient with me haha. I’m already jumpy as it is, so… when I heard other guns go off, I jumped a lot. I also had no idea a 9 mm gives so much force when you shoot it. The first time I shot the gun, the instructor put the palm of his hand on my back, I’m glad he did. I was like wtf? How does this little gun…
The instructor we had was very good at explaining how to get everything done. Extra star. I’m a complete idiot when it comes down to machinery like that.
They do have week day specials including date night, ladies night, if your older than 50 years old, and etc. Ask ahead!
Side note: Apparently if you play a lot of shooting games via xbox, ps4, etc, you’ll get the hang of shooting. I only got 60% whereas my bf got 90% on the sheet. –_–

I went here for my 1^st shooting lesson. The staff was very friendly and patience with me.
I came with my own personal instructor, which was not a problem for them. We were both Treated wIth respect and I liked that! The place was small but open and there were an assortment of refeshments other then coffee!
The best things I like, the prices were reasonable, they are close to home and for me easy to get to!
I can’t wait for my next visit!
A great place for women too!

To preface this review, when I go to a range I don’t care about art on the walls or coffee or cookies. I want good lighting/​ventilation, reasonable prices, and to not be too terrified that the person next to me might kill me.
First off, prices are high. They charge per hour, and what you pay for one hour would get you all day at other local ranges. I realize that real estate ITP comes at a premium but that is just ridiculous. If you are renting guns and buying range ammo the cost will add up VERY fast.
They are strict about «no guns behind the firing line». We had an assortment (4 – 5 pistols and two rifles in cases) and were not allowed rest the rifle cases against the wall. Instead we had to cram them at our feet. What is more unsafe, having an unloaded rifle in a case a foot behind me, or potentially tripping over that rifle case with a loaded gun in my hands?
Range officer was rude about me picking up MY OWN brass. I was not taking anyone else’s, just what I had shot. He didn’t believe we had fired that much, despite having plenty of empty boxes to prove it. At least they don’t have grates on the floor like Adventure Outdoors.
They are «new shooter friendly», which I think is great, but I witnessed fully automatic weapons being given to new shooters. Call me old-​fashioned but I think you should have to demonstrate competence (at least get all rounds on the paper) before graduating to the «big guns». I didn’t feel very comfortable with that.

Quickshot, I really like how they owner is running this place. When you enter in, the place is very comfortably set up. I agree with Jang C, looks more like an industrial art studio and it’s set up really well. You can sit on the couches while you wait for your friends or watch your friend shoot.
What I really liked about this place was the staff, they are so professional and hospitable. I was expecting hardened, trigger happy instructors but they were quite the opposite. They were very knowledgeable about the guns you can rent and what’s going on in the gun industry. And they were willing to show you how to shoot the guns as well.
I really liked how this place is run. Very well done Quickshot!

I haven’t shot many guns and the thought of going shooting always makes me nervous.
However, the plush surroundings and friendly helpful staff really put me at ease ensuring I had a great time.
I shot the Glock 17 which was my favourite as well as a .22 handgun and rifle. I also shot the MP5 machine gun.
The gun range is very nice and if your an experienced gun range user who just wants somewhere rough ready and cheap this is not the place for you.
I really enjoyed it and will be taking my female friends from the uk there to introduce them to shooting!

Clean, modern indoor range. I moved to Atlanta recently and this is the first shooting range I tried. Prices are fair and the range equipment in good condition.
I gave it three stars b/​c of the staff and some of the other shooters at the range. Everyone else who reviewed the location seems to have had a good experience, but I didn’t like them and haven’t been back since. Staff was rude and treated me like an idiot (have been shooting for years and am former LE). As for the other shooters, it must have been trailer park discount day. Several had rented weapons and were whooping & playing grabass like a bunch of 12 year olds. The combo of the staff’s attitude and the numpties playing gangster with rented guns on the range were enough for me to mark this place off my list. Shame, since it’s just a couple miles away.

This range is clean, upscale and always has a range of awesome instructors. If you are looking for a cheap range this ain’t it, renting items can get a little pricey.
If you want an orgasmic feeling you MUST try the MP5 9 mm full automatic it shoots like smooth butter! Or you can just come here and practice on your target shooting. Staff is friendly, they do have classes you can take for better handling your weapon.
They don’t sell firearms so don’t ask. They do offer date night events, and other events for the different days of the week.

I don’t have extensive experience with guns or gun ranges. In fact, this was my 2^nd experience in total.
Compared to the last range I will tell you that this place is completely awesome!
First, the staff welcomes you as soon as you enter, secondly, they had Krispy Kreme Donuts, Tea & Water for there guest and a a nice lounge area to hang out.
They have great guns to rent & you are secure with staff monitoring the guest and how they manage their equipment at all times.
We felt completely safe! I will now make this my «go to» spot as I learn all I need to know about gun safety!

Wanted to share a great experience we had at Quickshot and a practical «date night» idea for those of you considering the purchase of a firearm but don’t know where to start. Or heck, still a great deal if you already own one. Quickshot was highly recommended by our East Lake neighbors.
Given this summer’s crime spree, we recently exercised our 2^nd amendment rights and purchased a firearm for home defense (Adventure Outdoors –Smyrna). We bought a no-​nonsense HD shotgun — a Mossberg 500 Persuader (12ga). I’ve now been twice to this range, and while my first experience was great (first time ever shooting a gun… EVAR!), the second trip stood out.
On this Thursday night the Mrs. and I went to Quickshot with another couple that lives in Ormewood for «date night» at the range so the ladies could familiarize themselves with proper gun safety and our home defense guns.
The date night rate is an awesome deal: $ 30/​couple includes gun rental, range lane, ear and eye protection. You can try as many kinds of their guns as you’d like — just pay for ammunition and targets. We shared a lane, shot 4 kinds of guns, and got out of there for about $ 43/​couple. I also think the ladies enjoyed seeing other couples/​women in there so they were less intimidated by the whole thing.
Gun ownership isn’t for everyone, i know. If you’re on the fence about home defense this is an excellent opportunity to find out if you’re comfortable with guns in the first place and zero in on the caliber that fits your preference. It’s also a TON of fun — especially the Zombie targets :)

Is this a lounge or a shooting range? Atlanta always does everything big, but in a Southern charm way. You will be blown away when you walk in, because it looks nothing like a shooting range, more like an art industrial style studio with trendy paintings along the walls. They also have cookies, coffee, and doughnuts! It is modern, clean, well ventilated. The staff is friendly and approachable. They don’t sell guns here, but you can rent them. It is $ 16 hour to rent the lane which doesn’t include the gun rental and the bullets.
It was my first time shooting a gun and I was a bit scared, but I had a blast. Everyone said I was a natural. ;) I would definitely recommend this place for a first timer or a gun owner who wants to sharpen up their skills.
