Just to clarify, this place deserves a 3.5 stars out of 5. Rising Roll Gourment can be best described as a gourmet Subway that offers higher quality food with slightly higher price. Located right across from the Atlanta Technology Center on Howell Mill road, this resturant has been the resturant of choice for my quick lunch breaks, and corporate catering. As you stand in line, you get to choose from categories of sandwiches, and wraps. They all range from around $ 6.00 to $ 9.00 which does not include any sides or drinks. My favorite choice is the cadillac chicken sandwich($ 6.59) that serves marinated grilled chicken breast with honey mustard dressing and other vegetables between the bread of your choosing. I admit the food is fairly good and always served consistently. It is definitely better quality and taste to others like Subway or Chick-fil-A, but I do not think the price is justified. Getting the full meal with drinks and chips can run the costs up to $ 8 to $ 10 which I deem pretty high for a lunch meal. Despite the prices, this resturant has been a local favorite for me due to its close location to my work and the friendly staff. If you ever stop by, don’t forget to ask for the coupon that gives you a free sandwich or salad after 10 meals. Overall, Rising Roll Gorumet is good but not great. I say this out of my personal experience of going there for over a year.

OK food, indifferent service and flat out inaccurate pricing on their menu for at least the one item I ordered. Food was OK, but docking a star for lack of accountability on their pricing. Was trying to decide between the Roast Beef Cheezer and the Chicken Curry Salad sandwich. The French«roll» didn’t look so great. I wish they had a good French baguette. But they didn’t. The chicken Curry salad sandwich came on a croissant(which I guess I could have used for the other sandwich too, but I wasn’t thinking). When they rang it up, the price seemed higher than I expected. On the big price board, it says 6.79. She rang it up as 7.59. I thought I may have looked wrong because the Hispanic cashier(who couldn’t communicate clearly) said that was the price on the board too. So I sit down and ate. Pretty decent sandwich, not as great as the Joli Kobe version of this. Croissant was just OK, the chicken curry salad part was very solid. In the middle, I went to the big board and saw it was indeed 6.79 and told the lady about that. She said tax was included and that’s why the price was 7.59. I said, what the hell is tax doing on the next row of the receipt if that is the case. She then said«oh I don’t know.» and shrugged her shoulders and went back. Then an American cashier showed up later and he told me that the boss was busy opening new shops and probably didn’t have time to update the sandwich boards in the shop. But even he didn’t seem to realize the 80 cent difference(more than 10%) between the cashier counter price and the price on the menu board. 80s cents is not much, but it’s the principle of it. Not even a sorry from one of the cashiers. I was even polite about it. So they don’t have an excuse not to say they were sorry about the mixup.

Solid. I love having a work friend who alternates getting lunch for us. Today, he wanted RR because he loves their chicken salad. Pretty classic version(no crazy fruit or nuts — ick) so I will try another time. Lots looked tempting but who can resist a Caddy? The Cadillac Chicken sammy was great — and still warm when it arrived back at my desk — with its chick, bacon, L&T and provolone. Plenty of grilled chicken and — dare I say — almost too much(perfectly crisp) bacon… only note is that I could’ve used another slice of tomato and a little more lettuce. The honey Dijon was tasty and(especially since it was to-go) not overdone, so nothing got soggy. I even liked the thick wheat bread, and I almost never like such. Maybe it was the slightest hint of sweetness. Overall, much more than a standard deli-type sandwich. And the perfect finishing touch– a bag of original Lays. Love. Just over $ 10, including my large Diet Coke. Really, other than Fast Food(and only if you get a $ 2 meal deal or something essentially not healthy) you can’t do a lot better for a lunch. New A-OK place on my side of town.

The sandwiches are ok for the most part. Nothing super special, but not a bad pick for a deli type meal. The Curry Chicken Salad is good. There is a sandwich that has turkey, blue cheese crumbles, bacon and special sauce. Try it!

Very unimpressed by this place. I placed a to-go order 15 minutes before arriving only for it not be started. Keep in mind it was a weekday during noon and it was not busy even then. The food is very makeshift. Staff is slow. Manager seems confused. Please improve

I’m not sure why others have given this place less than five stars. Everything here is made fresh and very tasty. I will definitely be back

I wanted to support Rising Roll so I went to try it out this morning because I noticed they were open for breakfast. I ordered an egg and cheese panini. It had no flavor. They didn’t use any salt or pepper. Bland. Just egg and a lot of bacon. I don’t feel like I should have to tell them how to cook. They should try their food. Also, I was looking forward to a yummy cup of coffee. It is Caribou Coffee. Why don’t they make their own? What a great marketing idea! Silly people. I probably won’t go back. Lackluster. I do like that they are having a pet adoption though on 6⁄21 from the Atlanta Humane Society!

This place is right by my house so I was excited! They have delivery with a 15% charge, so I didn’t go for that. I got the pick a pair deal, which was a lot of food for the money. My main disappointment was my salad. I ordered online, and I know I typed in no tomatoes, but half of my tiny sale was nothing but. Also no dressing on the salad, and none offered… Maybe I missed so dressing bar but a dry salad was not what I was looking for. I will try it again.

I turned into this parking lot planning on trying Little Azio after a really long time, but could only find parking near Rising Roll Gourmet so I decided to give it a shot. The menu is extensive and a was a little confused on how to order(just get in line and tell the person behind the counter what you want! It actually was easy). I got my to-go food quickly. The chicken melt that I got on multi grain bread was good considering I ate it almost an hour later. I do think that it is a little overpriced, paid $ 7 just for the sandwich – I finished eating wishing I had a little something else. I would consider going back if I was in the area to try something else off the menu.

How do you screw up sandwiches? With horrible service that is how. The place was empty and the lady behind the counter seemed like she really wanted to it to stay that way. She seemed annoyed we wanted to order. She rolled her eyes then vanished to the back for some unknown reason in the middle of our order. Then there was a ten minute wait for two sandwiches.

WELL normally, i love this place, i order a lot of individual lunches for my office as well as family style or catering. They were very friendly on the phone and helpful. However when i got there, they had no idea what i was talking about, for my 12:15 pickup. People are hungry(people i dont want to starve) and i have a very strict time limit. They inform me that they dont have that order, i must have ordered at a different location. Then they call a location to ask if they had my order. YES! It was there she said. The location… might i add, did not exist, and i had already traveled 10 miles, when i got a call 15 minutes later saying that oops! we found your order. now my office is mad that i screwed up and i have to wait in gosh awful traffic to get back there. SO i trugged back over there, waltzed in and got my little pinwheels that would fill a 5 year old let alone 30 grown adults. On the bright side they were very apologetic and even gave me a discount. It was not fun having lunch an hour late, i can tell you that. thats why they only got a 3.

Made a quick stop to grab a bite while running errands the other day. Not bad. Large seating area. Plenty of variety on the menu. Fresh, hand-made sandwiches. One of the cookies looked large enough to be a plate.(No, I did not have one.) Staff was very friendly, and even customized my sandwich(a Turkey sandwich using pimiento cheese instead of sliced cheese). The pimiento cheese lacked a certain character. But overall, the sandwich was good. Next time, I’ll try it with a different bread.

Darn it. I reviewed the wrong location. No wonder I thought I had reviewed it before and then was surprised not to see that review. Anyway! I frequently go here for lunch since it’s close to my work, but I’ve even made the trek all the way from Ponce(har har) to eat here. They give you a card that you can get punched for each visit and once you get sixteen(I believe it’s sixteen) you’ll get a free lunch. I kind of want more than a free lunch for sixteen visits but I digress. They have delicious salads, paninis and sandwiches. If I’m in the mood for a salad I usually go with the Harvest Salad which is probably one of those salads that you think is good for you but really isn’t because of all of the stuff in it but I’m good with that. If it’s a sandwich I’m in the mood for then I go with the California Turkey or the Don’t Tell Charlie. I have tried the chicken salad before but it had a little fat(?) in it so I didn’t order it again due to some serious texture issues that I have. Blech. The Chicken Milano panini is also a terrific choice but it’s also very filling, so I can usually only eat half of it. Recently they changed their prices to reflect the cost of just the sandwich/wrap/panini and if you want a side you will pay an extra dollar. I thought this was fine because there are times I did not want a side but felt compelled to get it since I was paying for it anyway. However, upon my last visit which was last Friday, I handed over my punch card only to be told that I owed an additional $ 1.08 for the side and pickle I had ordered with my tuna sliders. It would have been nice to know this policy had changed since I thought I had met the requirements for a free lunch but apparently since their pricing has changed you’re just kind of screwed on the side and pickle. It wasn’t the price that got me, it was the fact that I had previously paid for sixteen full price meals and now had to pay again for a visit that I was so happy was free. It would be helpful if they would post this new policy so people are aware of the change. I’m still giving Rising Roll three stars because I do think it’s A-OK but I can’t quite give them four because it’s difficult to get out of there under $ 10.00 these days; and that’s just too much to pay for lunch during the work week. I forgot to mention that I order from here for my company meetings. Normally everything is fine but there have been a couple of times we’ve ordered there have been sandwiches that have been wrong. And the last two times we have ordered for pickup nothing has been ready and everyone is scurrying to get the order complete. I stood for approximately 15 minutes that time which is a lot when you call ahead for a pickup and need to get back to the office with people’s food.

I am disappointed and almost mad. Last time I was here the portion was huge. $ 8+ later I have a HUGE plate with two tiny microscopic bites of sandwich on it, a hefty pickle and a tiny side of pasta salad. BOY am I glad I opted to pay the extra $ 1 for a side and a pickle or I would have starved to death. The economy has slipped. People are barely scraping by. When we HAVE to eat out for lunch, for whatever reason, we don’t want to get ripped off. Don’t waste your money

Ok, so it’s a chain, but it’s also somewhat close to work and a small chain… and Rising Roll has the BBLT. The extra B I think is for BIG. I get it in a wrap and it’s so full of bacon that my mouth hurts from all the chewing. The sides are pretty bland, but it’s a nice artery clogging treat every couple of months at a good price. The staff is always nice, esp the person I think is the manager or owner. She’s always checking to make sure everyone’s happy. I also like it when it rains and we get their other sandwiches delivered to the office! Good stuff.

Really a 3.5. My ham & cheese(manager special) was 5.99 came with a tiny pasta salad and a free cookie(first timers only) and a smile! Nice patio too, although it was a little too cold today to stay for long.

I happened to stumble upon this place randomly during lunchtime, looking for a spot to get my eat on. Rising Roll is right off of Northside Drive, and I was most impressed with the service. Everyone was friendly, chatty, and genuinely happy. They have got what could be considered a «complicated ordering system/menu» that for«newbies» they break down relatively easy for you. I got the chicken salad sandwich which is there self proclaimed«specialty»…Id have to say I agree. Hell, I cant think of another chicken salad sandwich that I like/have liked better than theirs. Additionally, if you are a first timer, they give you a cookie… this is a great spot if you are looking for a quick, tasty lunch.

This isn’t my favorite restaurant, but I continue to go here now and then because it’s across the street from my office building. I’m giving this place its«3» based largely on the cheerful, friendly service. There is a nice lady who I think is one of the managers, and she always seems happy to see me when I come in. If she found out I gave her restaurant a lukewarm review, I’d feel horrible. The sandwiches are actually pretty good, but they’re also pretty pricey. On the other hand, they are HUGE. I like the Chicken and Apples. The soups are hit or miss. Some of them are really good, and some of them taste like they may have come out of a can. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but it’s not bad.

We ordered online for delivery, which gets the third star. Min is $ 50 for delivery. Service was quick and friendly. Funny, I *just* got a call from Rising Roll asking how the service and food were. That’s good service. Nice follow-through. I like. I ordered a chef salad, which was adequate, prepackaged looking. My coworker ordered the ceasar salad and basically got the same salad I did except with no meat and ceasar dressing. I thought that was funny.
