The sales person at Buckhead told me that the love seat would be delivered on the following Thursday. When if didn’t arrive, I called to find out that he never entered a delivery date. Then when it was delivered, a large sofa arrived and not the love seat. The delivery crew would not take it back with them. This same sales person had called it a sofa(the sales amount was for a loveseat) so that is what they delivered. It took another week to get it picked up. At that point, I did not want to deal with this company again.

Bought couch set(couch, chair, end tables, lamps, pillows) about 3 years ago for my son, for his first furniture. He called me tonight to let me know that the couch is done, as in broken. The wood beneath the seats had completely broken into pieces. The fabric had been coming apart at the seams for some time now. He only weighs 220 pounds(at 6’3″) and is not boisterous. Just letting others know that you can’t count on getting quality furniture from Rooms To Go. No complaints about the sales staff at any of their stores. My complaint is that the quality of the furniture is horrible. No one in our family has had a couch for less than 10 years. We don’t abuse our things that we work hard to earn. I don’t recommend buying your furniture at Rooms To Go.

Sadly, reliability and customer satisfaction are the final priority when it comes to Rooms To Go. As repeat customer, I will say that salesperson professionalism and store experiences are case-by-case depending on the particular store and the particular associate(Myra at Perimeter was a positive exception). However, after the last two shopping experiences here and at their Norcross outlet store, we won’t be back. We went to Perimeter to look for a bed set, but ended up being sent to Norcross as the set we wanted was supposedly there. We arrived to find it wasn’t(and btw, the customer service at Norcross stinks), so we found an alternate set and purchased that instead. We paid in full for the mattress and a bed set, which was scheduled for delivery 5 days out. The night before, we get a call informing that the bed had been discontinued by the manufacturer and could not be delivered. A replacement set would take two months. No apology, no attempt to offer a discount on an alternate set etc. Customer service at head office blamed the manufacturer, and that was that. We cancelled the order. Should have gone elsewhere at that point, but we didn’t, only because the associate(Myra) at Perimeter’s store had been helpful and we thought to give her a shot, plus we liked the original mattress there and they had a sale on king for a queen price. Found an alternate bed set we liked and again made a purchase. We opted for express delivery(no time frame, have to be home between 7am and 10pm without a call ahead…7 days out). Well, the day of delivery came and went. We figured by 11pm that we weren’t going to get the bed(pity, we had to sleep on the floor that night). Called the store manager the following day, very annoyed. No effort to offer financial compensation, no explanation as to why the bed never came, no option to get the darn bed on a truck the next day or even the same week. No forthcoming with who was responsible(yet again) for the delivery mess. I asked for a warehouse manager name and number to call them directly but couldn’t get one. Called head office and was told I could cancel the order, or wait another 7 days for another«express delivery.» Are you kidding? Over 2.5 weeks for a bed and you’re calling it «express?» All in all, I’ve wasted two trips to the same store and one to Norcross, countless nights lying on a mattress on our floor(with a newborn) and not a single attempt by either store(or head office) to correct their mistakes in a reasonable manner. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. We ended up buying a mattress on , for less money, and couldn’t be happier.

I ordered a recliner and reclining sofa. The day of arrival the delivery man, before bringing in the furniture came to my door stating he was delivering damaged goods. He said I could accept them to use for now and get undamaged goods next week. I agreed. We agreed on the next Saturday and the company would be calling. I received my usual automated phone call stating that my delivery was set for the following week. When I called customer service they stated I agreed to that date. So I asked her why I would be calling to complain if I had agreed to that date. She had no answer. I told her that date was unacceptable and she said there was nothing she could do. I asked her if it were ok to have an unhappy customer and she said there was nothing she could do. I asked her if she would compensate my monetarily, she said there was nothing she could do. BTW, the chair was damaged so badly I am unable to use the reclining feature. Damaged goods. Waiting 2 weeks. No type of compensation. An, it’s too bad, type of attitude.

I had a wonderful experience at this Rooms to Go. All I have to say is Colleen, Colleen, Colleen!!! She helped me from start to finish going above and beyond. I’m a recent college graduate and there were no tricks or gimmicks. She walked me through the entire process, and I purchased a beautiful yet affordable living room set that I am loving. She even sent me a follow-up post card wishing me well. She exceeds the customer experience. Give that woman a raise!

The staff at this store irritate me to no end. The sales guys are very vague with details, leading you to believe things will be one way, or one price, only to discover things are different when you are at the sales terminal putting in your order. They also don’t mention that they are automatically adding a «fabric protection» to your order which increases the price by $ 50-$ 75 per item in your order. The sales scum I dealt with told us that a table can be traded out for a chair in our package. He failed to mention this would be an extra $ 100. It was like pulling teeth to get them to stick within the budget I had. In fact, the sales douche claimed that the manager was the only one who could remove the fabric protection plan. The manager came out and tried to argue with me for 10 minutes. I had to tell him no literally 5 times before he removed the extra $ 200 nonsense. I left the store so highly annoyed that went online to see if this fabric protection is automatically added on when you order from the site. Not only is it a very easy check box that is by default NOT checked, but I also found out that the delivery fee was cheaper AND the delivery date was sooner if I placed the order online. That pretty much confirmed that the idiots in this store screw people over intentionally. Next time, I will simply order online and save myself not only some money, but also a huge pain in my ass. The store employees will miss out on their commission simply because they can’t be straight and truthful to customers. Aside from the store shenanigans, I was happy with the furniture and delivery. The delivery guys were very quick setting up the entire room, and all of the furniture was in perfect condition. In the weeks leading up to delivery, I had to take several phone calls to confirm address, delivery day and time. They also sent text messages which I never agreed to and really annoyed me. Why one simple call to confirm isn’t enough, I will never know. It’s a ton of crap to go through to get some cheaper, lower quality furniture. But I guess that’s what you have to deal with when you can only afford to deal with the walmart of furniture stores.

I must have had a much better experience than most when purchasing my new living room suit at Rooms To Go, but I had already been approved up to $ 3,800 via the website. Alas, knowing my credit limit and what the store carried, I already had a pretty good idea of what I was going to purchase. First off, when I arrived, it seems as if all the sales associates were busy with other prospective buyers, so the one older gentleman, Gary, assisted me. I had already explained that I knew I was approved, and I just wanted to browse, so I could make a final decision. He was very respectful and didn’t linger around, making me uncomfortable, and he sure-as-shit didn’t push me into buying some rent-a-center looking garbage. He stayed within a good vicinity, so I could call him over to ask questions without having to hunt him down, and he always had an answer to my questions.(Major plus.) I ended up leaving quite pleased, and since I scheduled my furniture to be delivered two weeks in advance, I had no issues with their delivery team either. The experience of buying furniture on credit wasn’t nearly as heinous as I thought it was going to be, but I really think it’s because I had a salesman that remained a human at work.(Y’know, some people that work on commission turn into a robot for whatever janky-ass company they work for.) Luckily, Gary at this particular Rooms To Go has a soul. Oh, and my sectional looks way better than the floral relics that were visually raping me each day. Cheers!

I think most people know what they’re in for when they shop here. If you compare RTG with, say, Macy’s or Havertys, you’ll get a lesser quality of furniture as well as salespeople. That being said, you also get more for your buck. My husband and I made two trips here while shopping for a bed set and couch. The first time, the saleswomen, Christine, I think, helped us. She reminded me of a little dog just barking at your heels. Not only was she not leave our side, but she made awkward, inappropriate comments too. We ended up leaving before really seeing everything. Second trip we were met but a nice older gentleman. It was his lucky day, as we already had planned out our purchases. During this time RTG was offering interest-free financing. Why not? While discussing the details, the salesman was trying to push us into paying the furniture off sooner than we had to and making a bigger down payment in order to «help the company.» WTF? I’m already spending over $ 3,000 and you’re making an easy commission. That irritated me. Hopefully I’m happier with the furniture than I was with their staff. Fingers crossed!

We are going to be buying a house soon and we have been scouting out good places for new furniture since we want completely new furniture. So far we haven’t bought anything but we like Rooms To Go because of the excellent sales that they have. They always have promotions that allow you to buy something a pay no interest for a few years. If you have some financial discipline, this is a really good deal. The key is to make sure you have whatever you bought paid off before the no-interest time-frame is up. The staff here are always very courteous and friendly and have good knowledge of the products that are for sale in the store. I have looked at the quality of the items that they have for sale and their furniture seems to be put together very well also. That’s an important point for me… as much as furniture costs, I want it to last a long time. Our only regret so far is that they don’t sell furnishings for baby’s rooms. They sell children’s furniture though so we will certainly be back there when our child is a little older.
