I called this company after experiencing a 3 day sewer blockage in my home. The blockage was far enough down my main sewer line that my regular plumber(who is not a licensed roto specialist) could not clear it with his equipment. The City of Atlanta water DEPT recommended that I call a specialist before they would provide any assistance. The customer service rep was polite, and scheduled an appointment between 1 – 3 pm the same day. She even quoted a decent price. Things were going well until the actual plumber called me 3 times in a row around 11 am while I was in a meeting. I called him back at 12:39 pm and left a message, but never heard from him again. I waited and waited during my appointment window. When I finally called to see why he never showed up– he told me that he was in a meeting, and since I didn’t answer his call he cancelled my appointment. I asked if he was still coming or should I call someone else and he rudely told me to call someone else. Well, i called their office again to see if this was normal. Unfortunately, the other Rooter Rooter plumber was busy, so I was out of luck. Had I known that I was going to be blown off after waiting all day, I certainly would have started with someone else from the start. So, after getting the runaround from the City sewer services, I was ultimately let down by a company with very bad field service plumbers– at least from a customer service perspective. I never got to experience their actual work. Through this entire ordeal I was treated with respect by EVERYONE I spoke to about this situation– EXCEPT for the plumber at Rooter Rooter! Every other person seemed to have some sympathy for the horrible situation my household was in, but this company. Not good for a company who supposedly specializes in ‘emergency assistance’.
