Please think twice before you move into this place. These are shoddy apartments with a disinterested and unhelpful staff that will demonstrate over and over again the meaning of terrible customer service. Construction of these apartments is extremely rudimentary with numerous maintenance issues(leaks, drawer fronts, carpet, etc.) occurring constantly. Also, the carpet is so thin that you are constantly stepping on tack strips as you enter every room. Doors do not fully close and closet doors don’t slide well on their hinges. To underscore this quality issue, there was a leak this winter that flooded my and many other apartments. This was due to poor insulation on the pipes(even though they over and over again describe their plumbing as up to code). It took over three months to finally address all of the maintenance issues caused by this flood and still the apartment smells like mildew and mold spores after six months. Other random safety issues like lights being out in the building and emergency lights not coming on happen on a regular basis. Oh, and fire alarms regularly in the middle of the night. The office is only open a non-working friendly 10 to 6 with no hours on Sunday and your packages are held hostage here until you can get to them during working hours. Finally, they nickel and dime you by asking you to pay extra for access keys and remotes to the gates(which typically are either broken in the open position or broken closed so that the whole neighborhood is stuck outside). Again, think twice before you pay for this kind of neglect and abuse.

I was a resident here longer than I care to admit and a little surprised by some of the low ratings. It’s pretty nice when you compare prices to some of the other properties in the area. Savannah is uniquely located such that you’re only 10 to 15 minutes away from Buckhead and downtown, a couple of minutes from major highways, and within a few blocks away from Perimeter Mall, Target, and other major retail stores and restaurants. The amenities are not as good as some of the apartments in the surrounding area e.g. wood floors, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, etc. but again, it’s comparable considering what you pay for and what you get — the apartments are pretty nice and spacious on the inside(I think they’re starting to upgrade some of their units though). The grounds are always kept up nicely, they offer pickup of your trash on certain days of the week, and the company(s) who have managed this place(I’ve know of at least two) are pretty nice and attentive to your needs. They also offer you the option to pay your rent online via check or credit card. Most apartment communities offer this option, too, but it’s always nice to have flexibility when making payments. Also, remotes to access the property vs. the traditional card is a nice touch. My beefs with this place are the computer(s) and printer(s) in the business center don’t always work and the equipment in the gym is a little outdated and could be replaced.

We like Savannah at Park Place pretty well. The staff is friendly and helpful, our floor plan is perfect for us and we can always find parking in the garage. Like all apartments, though, there are drawbacks, including a major silverfish infestation, very thin floors(there is probably just a football team living above us), poorly finished construction, slow and often broken elevators and entrance gates, and less-than-pleasing views. We have been here for three months and are thankful that the piercing fire alarm hasn’t gone off at 2 or 3am in several weeks, but are increasingly disturbed by the silverfish inhabitation that seems to be getting worse as the cold weather continues. I know management changed hands some time during spring 2013 and I can tell the property is being slowly improved, but I don’t think we will stay for another lease term due to the bugs and noisy upstairs neighbors, which probably cannot be taken care of completely by the well-meaning new owners. Oh, and the traffic on Ashford Dunwoody is INSANE after 430pm every day, and during the holidays, it sometimes took us over an hour to get to the highway due to mall traffic! I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone who needs to leave the house between 4 and 6pm!

I moved into the community in March 2012. So far I am overly pleased with the apartment. Very spacious! The community is very well maintained. I was looking for a community close to where I work and I found it with Savannah at Park Place. I am able to walk to work, shopping and restaurants. The Leasing Staff have also been so helpful. They are all so friendly and they made my move easy. The Maintenance Staff are a joy as well. I had a few items that needed repaired and they were completed prior to my move-in. They have also completed my minor requests in a timely manner. I am very pleased with the community and will definitely recommend to anyone.

I agree with the ladies below 100%! I have lived on this property for a several years and all of my great neighbors have moved out recently because the Property Manager, Office Staff, and Maintenance Staff are all awful as well as incompetent(not including Meredith). The back of the property is unkept and forgotten, not to mention dog poop on the sidewalks which is never cleaned unless it rains. I’ve been in contact with this property for over 6 years my brother lived here before I moved in. Mandy and Rosie were the best hands down! They are the reason I moved here, they cared about the residents. Every since they left and last summer when the new property manager arrived(along with her new staff members who must have worked at low income properties because they are beyond RUDE and need to go back through training). Needless to say I’m at my breaking point I will NOT be resigning my lease.

Not sure what the other reviewers are doing wrong, but I’ve never had a problem here. It could be a little more secure(people walk thru the back gate all the time) but the staff is very nice and repairs are taken care of very quickly. At least they have been for me. The apartments themselves are good sized and the noise from the neighbors isn’t terrible(far better than what I was expecting as this is my first apartment in about 25 years). Location is walkable to a big mall, the train, and a crap load of restaurants. If there was a supermarket withing walking distance it would be perfect. I’ll stay here as long as I have a job.
