I read the other reviews and I believe that these people would find something to complain about anywhere. This store is the coolest place ever. I am confused again at the fact that they think the store is overpriced. It is not. $ 5 for vhs… if you dont like it go to goodwill. I am sure that they will be more accommodating to your lust for vintage communication tools and they may be a little more in your price range. So now on to the review. I was greeted when I walked in by the gentleman behind the counter and then left to browse… much preferred. They did check to see if I needed any help once I had been in for a while. I was in search of a small desk, preferably a small, dark stained mahogany desk with leather writing surface; I was impartial to the color of the leather but was hoping for brown. I had been in the store no longer than 10 minutes before I stood in front of a gorgeous, dark stained mahogany desk with a pristine leather writing surface, brown. It even had a glorious serpentine curve on the side drawers. The perfect desk from the 1950’s I would estimate. It was very sturdy and all of the drawers worked perfectly. A man also browsing said he was an antiquer and said that the desk would sell for $ 350 easy. I paid $ 70.00. The desk is in my study currently looking magnificent as ever and has been moved many times and still maintains its structural integrity. They even had someone carry it out for me and load it into my truck. Cant beat that. But to answer some of the other reviews: Yes they do have furniture that sits outside but not all of it has been sitting for a month. My friend owns an antique store and he, every day, brings out pieces to sit out front and every day he brings them back inside, which is what this shop probably does as well. Otherwise they would be stolen, I am quite sure. It is, however, a good way to attract buyers. If I were left to guess, I would say that no one is forcing you to purchase the«weathered furniture» that does in fact sit outside(most of the furniture outside is fine however, there are some less than desirable pieces which is to be expected anywhere). Same thing with items you deem«too expensive»…dont like em– dont buy em. And again, left to guess, I would also say that that furniture outside is possibly purchased by someone, no doubt, or it would not be there and I am sure that someone will enjoy whatever pieces they buy just fine from the«weathered» section. I have a feeling that bad reviews come from bad experiences which some people tend to attract everywhere they go. So don’t listen to these sour pusses and get down to Scavenger Hunt today for some excellent finds. Of course you may not always find exactly what you are looking for but it is more about the journey rather than the destination, now isn’t it?

The name says it all, it’s a scavenge, folks! This is NOT an antique store; it is a store that has beat up things — old and not so old! I saw things that I liked but they were over priced and I actually saw pieces that I bought new 5 years ago(at lower prices) and I chuckled to think that I already have ‘antiques’ at home. Having said that — I think it’s worth going every now and then to see if they have something you like at a reasonable price.

You’ll find plenty of posters and bar lights reminiscent of a frat house liquidation. You’ll also be paying at least twice the retail value. On the other hand, this place is a quality entertainment venue. I probably spent 20 minutes in the shop, and I witnessed the most unapologetically perverse altercation between the owner and a disgruntled employee. Said employee accused the owner of illicit substance trafficking, sexual deviance, and then promptly quit… smack dab in the middle of the store. Couldn’t make that s*** up if I tried…

Extremely disappointing. I drive by this place every day and wanted to stop by with the wife to see if any of their crap was worth it… not so much. First of all, all of the«nice» furniture sits out all night and braves the elements. I would find it hard to buy an antique dresser that sat outside for a month. Second, everything is over priced for a shit store. VCR tapes should be a quarter(not 5 bucks plus). Everything in the place seemed way over priced… like trying to be «antique», but all of it was total crap. Don’t even bother trying to find that hard to find item, because you wont find it here.
