I love this place! Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious — branzino, salmon, sea bass, calamari and Greek salad. The food is always fresh and cooked in a way to let the true flavor of the fish shine through. I appreciate that they don’t drown the food in butter or oil and keep the spices simple. This place stays pretty quiet and is a great spot for date night. I used a scoutmob deal to start but went back because I enjoyed the food so much, and I’ll be back again.

Ate here with my wife last night for the first time and everything was great from the cocktails to the beet & goat cheese salad and entrees(grilled trout and blackened Mahi Mahi). The fish were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Probably the best trout & Mahi Mahi that we ever ate. This place is a real winner and we’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.

The only reason I give two stars is that the food is pretty good, but the service is horrible and extremely slow. We gave it a second chance based on the food, but number 2 was no better. It took an hour and a half to get our food. The waiter had to go back to the kitchen three times to get answers to very simple menu questions. I will not go back.

Valet was required despite empty lot. Driver was horrible and couldn’t figure out how to operate a stick. Food was ok, one in the party had a cream sauce despite asking for none, but service wasn’t very good and the waiter screwed up the bill. Overall a fairly dull experience. Not somewhere I would go back to.

I went for lunch today. It wasn’t busy at all. I think one other table was occupied. At lunch theres no valet and the parking lot was empty. 2 more tables were occupied later while I was there. I got the grilled octopus. It came with sliced purple onion and capers. It was very good. I ordered the fish of the day, which happens to be fish in a round bun, sandwich style. Fries come along with it. They serve a small basket of bread at no extra charge. Inside were flatbread and dipping size pieces of a multi grain. A dish with balsamic vinegar and oil is brought also. I noticed not a single table had salt and/or pepper. Most tables had a small tea light which I presume they light at night. I sat on the patio and there is very noticeable noise from the traffic. They have a waterfull for ambiance I guess and to cut the traffic noise. The breaded cod in the sandwich was ok. I could do without the sandwich part, and the breaded part. Makes it feel like a fishburger and fries. In my opinion that cheapens the product. I would say the food is 3 star, but marked it down because of refusal to take a voucher. This happens across town more than I would like, however there are things they can do that they DONT here. First is if you sell loads of vouchers that people buy in good faith and something happens where you decide you are not going to honor them, PUT A NOTEONTHEFRONTDOOR. To find out after you have eaten in a big downer. To have it happen with guests with you is even worse! Chances are not a soul at that table is coming back. Second-the public buys these in good faith and then if you refuse them they are out the money and pay again! In this case the voucher I think was $ 10 for $ 20. In a case like the the seller often keeps half and pays the restaurant half. SO they were only going to get $ 5 out of it anyway most likely. A good restaurant would knock off about $ 5 or do SOMETHING. Whatever went wrong, and in this case I think its slow pay from the coupon seller, LOCLLY is the name, or maybe no pay?-that isn’t the customers fault. To then throw the problem 100% back on the customer with no form of anything extra is wrong. The only other table occupied when I entered had the same thing, and refused also. I bet some of the others still eating had one too. I blame LOCLLY for the coupon fiasco, but when your a part of it there is still something YOU can do, but they opted to do nothing, thus the downgrade of their rating too. This doesn’t bring customers back. Most places I see doing this end up closing shortly thereafter. Will this place last from those who rate it highly? Time will tell.

Our first visit was a few weeks after they opened and were not impressed. We returned recently and were again disappointed. We got the appetizer tray of humous, yogurt dip and eggplant dip. The eggplant dip(baba ganoush) was not edible. One entrée was salmon which had little flavor and I left half uneaten. The skate entrée was too salty. The staff was friendly, but we will not be going back.

This restaurant is pretty good. To be honest, I was expecting more considering the prices were so high. It’s right off Roswell Road so the scenery isn’t the best and the environment inside is just okay considering your view is of the parking lot and traffic on Roswell Road. They offer valet parking at a charge(can’t remember the amount). I do not believe there was an option to park ourselves. They definitely had a beautiful selection of entrees to choose from. We started with the Crab Cake. I had no idea it would be as small as it was! It was one Crab Cake(about the size of the palm of your hand) for $ 13 to share. It tasted really good but I wish there was more on the plate. I had the Grilled Salmon with sautéed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. The Salmon was cooked perfectly! The portion on the main entrée was a decent size for the price of $ 19.00. Overall, I think this restaurant is worth a try but is a bit expensive for its location.

Calamari perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection. The chef prepared me something off the menu, blackened salmon with jasmine rice and crispy, garlicky kale. Everything was very fresh and delicious. My lunch buddy had the fish and chips and cleaned his plate. The service was spot in. There when you need him but not over bearing. Seabass is a Unilocal 5 star Imo.

Just got back from lunch here and was it FANTASTIC! We started off with grilled octopus — I’ve had my fair share of octopus, but never have I had such a succulent preparation. The charring just enhanced the subtle briny taste of the octopus, and the onions and oregano vinegarette complemented it very well. The only change I would make to it was I thought that it could have done with a little less vinegarette to let you enjoy the flavors of the octopus, but otherwise can’t complain. We also had the mahi-mahi — perfectly seasoned and cooked. You would think that a place that serves seafood SHOULD know how to cook fish perfectly, yet surprisingly, many places can’t get this right. This place was spot on! The mahi-mahi was cooked through but just enough so that the meat wasn’t flaky but more like«fall of the bone tender» if you were to compare it to ribs. Fried oyster po-boy was ok, but then again, I’m not a big fan of oysters anyway, so take that with a grain of salt. The toasted brioche bun had just the right amount of buttery goodness. While this is only a small part of the experience, can I tell you how much I appreciated that they warmed their bread and pita(quite good as well)! It’s a pet peeve of mine when you go to a restaurant and they serve you bread that is so chilled and flat it tastes like week old Coke pulled out of the fridge. I mean, come on, I know it’s just bread, but do you know how much better bread tastes when you toast it? It’s always shocking to me when nice restaurants serve POS bread, and unfortunately, that seems to be more the rule than the exception. Anyways, with all that aside, atmosphere was calm and relaxing with a nice outdoor patio, but shielded in a way to minimize the traffic noise from Roswell Rd. Our server Freddie was warm and jovial and made the whole experience top notch. Will definitely go back again when I’m in town!

All in all we had an above average experience here. Unlike i was lead to believe by some previous reviews it was a quiet setting and the overall ambience was perfection. For starters, We ordered the calamari(okay, some pieces were a bit overdone/chewy) and the lobster tail, whih was fantastic, served over lemon butter orzo . Dinner was light after my cesaer salad(made w/mixed greens since they were out of romaine) still it was good. I had the mushroom flatbread and my boyfriend the fish and chips. Both were satisfactory though no «wow moment» Dessert– flourless chocolate cake and crème brûlée. Yummm. Best part of the meal.

My wife and I are a bit of a peculiar breed of diner: We eat out all the time, and we dine out to eat good food. Atmosphere, posh and all of that are just fringe benefits for us. When we show up, we’re ready to order right away, we eat quickly, then want our check and are ready to go home. The quality of the food is paramount and price isn’t all that important. That being said, this place is an excellent fit for us. The Chilean Sea Bass is phenomenal and the sauce is so amazing! If you’re into eating fish whole, my wife had the special(Branzini) and she loved it, although I did not care for it. The shrimp scampi is unique with its slight spicy kick and a must-try. The bread is pretty good. We’ve been here three times in the past two weeks! I’d say the atmosphere is decent. There is a small cozy bar area that looks nice, although we haven’t tried it. The servers were sharply dressed, attentive, and snappy. There was a slight snafu with our reservation one of the times, but the host was able to clear it up without much hassle. On the other hand, there are some areas that could use improvement, which is the reason I took off a star. The plating/presentation and sides are consistently subpar. My wife’s sides were just acceptable, but mine were not. The spinach is like mush and very salty, and mashed potatoes taste more like instant rather than fresh. The sampler plate isn’t that great(If that’s your thing, Kyma has a much better offering — Although the fish is better at SeaBass!) The place does feel a bit cramped. Also, I read another review complaining about the noise from Roswell Rd. I presume the owners tried to compensate for this by turning up the music too loud and installing a loud water fountain. I found both of these a bit off-putting, but it does almost completely drown out the road noise. Lastly, the restroom is dark and dingy-feeling and could use a remodel. The fresh fish entrées and quick service are clearly the stars of the show for us here, and I’m sure we’ll keep coming back for more!

I ordered the tiger shrimp that was awful and the lobster tail. Wasn’t good either and was tiny. I won’t be going or have food delivered from this restaurant again. Paid 50 $ for junk.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to try this restaurant, but I plan to make it back often. Nice clean décor, great service, and the food was excellent. I had the trout and it was as good as I’ve ever had, and included garlic kale and jasmine rice. They have valet parking. Go early for dinner then walk over to Steve’s Live Music to catch some good tunes.

Absolutely phenomenal meal. The lamb chops and the octopus were terrific. I could not resist finishing the meal off with a portion of chocolate cake and mango pie. Will be coming back soon. It is great to eat at a restaurant where the owner truly cares about the clients and ingredients.

The great thing about this place is that it could be easily missed(only 8 reviews!), but the restaurant was packed. This is a venue that’s been kept secret way too long. I agree with Lawrence re: stars. This establishment offers a subtle brilliance that is not to be missed by those-who-notice-excellent service and quality. In what had to be my most delicious meal in some time, I began where one should always begin: the hummus. The hummus plate offered a variety of styles to mix, match, discuss, ponder and enjoy. The pita bread was non-generic in a manner you rarely find anymore. The octopus & beet salad — and I feel I have a more-refined octopus pallet than the average man — was hey you-gotta-try this. Delicious. It was even better to find out the owner uses organic beets. Right on. Mains involved king-shrimp. Now I don’t normally eat shrimp so I can’t comment to compare… one might say I have an unrefined shrimp pallet when compared to 8 legged sea animals. My general rule of thumb is the more legs the better… but I digress. I sampled both the café & mango cheesecake… both were worth it. Both had a velvety nature to them non-typical of most cheesecakes. The ’10 Washington Cabernet stood out.

High hopes for this Sandy Springs seafood place. Right on Roswell road, limited parking so valet only, nicely decorated. marrived around 6pm for an early dinner before catching a movie. Restaurant was empty and we were show to a corner table for 2 in the covered patio area out front. As one of us would literally be looking at a wall, I asked to be moved. This seemed to be a problem, and they put us in a table that was a warmly placed near a beam. My wife’s seat was fine, but I had to sit sideways to accommodate the architecture. The road noise from Roswell road was awful. I had black pants and a dark shirt on and asked for a dark napkin to avoid the inevitable fluff from the white one. He looked confused, went away and when he returned to told me they did not have dark napkins and handed me a bundle of white paper napkins — drink coasters from the bar. You have got to be kidding me! I ordered lamb shank, my wife had halibut. Food was cooked well and tasted nice. However, the presentation was unbelievable. An army cook in a canteen serving for 500 soldiers would have been ashamed, I had a mound of mashed potatoes that cover 75% of the plate, the st of the plate was covered with seasonal veggies. Atop this was a huge lamb shank, enough really for 2. Smothered in a dark sauce. My wife’s fish was a bit more delicately plated, but still massive portions. There was that much food on my plate that the sauce had run over the edge on its way from the kitchen. I am a big eater and I have never before complained about too much food, but both of us left a lot of food and frankly the volume was off putting. Service — Poor(and a bit bizarre) Location — Awful location and noise in the patio area Food — ok Presentation — slopped on a plate Price — at a price point for the menu, execution on pretty much everything makes it too expensive For a $ 30 – 40 a plate place, they have missed the mark completely

Disappointing. My gut reaction was to give it 3 stars, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it was probably in the bottom third of $ 100+(2 person) meals I’ve had in terms of how much I enjoyed it, so 2 stars it is. To be clear, most entrees are in the $ 20 – 30 range, and we had a couple appetizers and cocktails. The biggest disappointment was that none of the seafood tasted fresh. Details: –Crab Cake app(a special) — I’ve found Crab Cakes to be much like sushi in that the vast majority are good and I enjoy them, but it’s rare that I find any that are markedly better than most. And that goes for these. They were good(other than the big piece of shell I got), but nothing special. –Grill Octopus — had a decent flavor, but overcooked to the point of being extremely chewy and the vinegar sauce was overwhelming. –Seafood Pasta — the sauce was nice and light, and would have complemented good seafood perfectly… but the seafood just wasn’t terribly fresh — in particular the shrimp. They were nice looking large prawns, but had that funny«not-fresh» flavor. –Chilean Sea bass — again, nicely cooked, looked great, but at the first bite it was clearly not fresh fish. The sauce it was served with was good, as were the mashed potatoes(actually putting the sauce on the mashed potatoes was delicious — probably the best thing we had). The julienned veggies served with it were good as well… unfortunately, if the star disappoints it’s hard for the supporting cast to carry the dish. –Service was OK. The bartender was extremely friendly when we walked in, and gave us a rundown of the menu while we waited for our table. Our server was spotty — he seemed very nice, just wasn’t around. We were ready to order both appetizers and main course by the time he first came to the table. Then after ordering, we didn’t see him again until the main course arrived(someone else brought out the appetizers). Where I was seated I couldn’t tell if he was in the weeds or not, but the restaurant was not full and I didn’t think he was. –I will say the olive oil served with the bread is outstanding quality.

Patio will be awesome in spring! The shrimp/crab bisque was very good. I ordered the scallops and shrimp over rice and a butter/herb sauce and that was ok. The seasoning was a little weak so I added some salt which perked it up a little bit. For the price($ 24), it wasn’t really worth it based on the flavor/size of the scallops but the portion size overall was filling. It was just too straightforward, nothing out of the ordinary. $ 18 would have been a little easier to swallow. :) My friend enjoyed her whole fish which is probably the best value on the menu. I may or may not be back — more because I was hoping for more creative dishes although I am sure the dishes they do make are just fine in their simple approach. I will rave about the baklava! Home baked just for them — in pistachio or walnut versions. That was the perfect way to end the meal — on a high note! Crispy, buttery, honey goodness. Service was solid. And the manager was visible /interactive throughout the meal.
