I agree with previous reviews that this location is easy to access from I-​75. And I like the aspect that there is a rear exit that leads to a traffic light so one can make a left and get back to the interstate.
However, I was miffed that the pump I chose did not have a clip on it. This forced me to stand there and manually hold the pump handle. I don’t have time for that! I multi-​task while pumping gas! The clip helps me tremendously by freeing me to do other things. As a result my stop was considerably longer than needed without the use of this clip.
In addition I was also miffed that the digital screens were all graffitied tagged which is:
1) disgusting to have to look at,
2) makes the screen difficult to see through
With all this, I only got ¹⁄₁₀^th the amount of gas that I needed and decided just to leave rather than deal with this crap.

I’m a regular at this location. What I like about it is that, despite the traffic on Howell Mill right here and competing with the Food Truck Park at lunchtime, it is an easy in and out. The lot os spacious with no bumper car action going on while jockeying for pumps.
The price is usually higher than closer to my house, but that is going to happen the closer you get to Midtown/​Downtown, but this location is so much better than the one on the other side of I-​75. It is also to get to and from if just travelling on I-​75.

These pumps are bad ass. You can do everything out there. Use your Kroger Plus card to save $.10/​gallon, set a pre-​paid amount for a debit or credit card (just press «Enter» before you pump and type in the desired amount), and pay for a car wash.
I’m especially thrilled about the pre-​payment amount. Normally, you have to go inside to have the attendant swipe your card to prevent a large temporary authorization charge to hit your account. If you’re paying with a credit card, that’s not really a big deal. Debit cards are another thing. One time I overdrafted my account (despite having enough money to cover everything) because $ 100 was behind held by a gas station. That’s in addition to the $ 30.00 that I actually spent there, but I digress…
If you’re coming off I-​75, getting in is easy because it’s on the right. There’s a driveway in the back that is shared with the office building next door. If you go out that way it takes you right up to the traffic light. Easy peasy.

On today, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, I purchased gas at the Shell Food Mart located at 1790 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30 318. As an aside, this was my first time patronizing this location, which posted a price of $ 3.79/gallon for regular grade fuel. In addition to the $.10/​gallon discount that I would receive from points accumulated on my Kroger Plus Card, I was expecting to pay only $ 3.69/gallon for my fuel.
I went through the process of: (1) swiping Kroger Plus Card to verify that I have points to receive the discount; (2) swiping credit card for payment which includes keying in my zip code; (3) removing the nozzle and inserting into my gas tank; (4) selecting the gas that I wanted (87), which is verified when the display on that selection blinks off; (5) filling tank; and finally (6) requesting receipt. I’ve done this a million times; piece of cake right? Well, not this time.
Upon reviewing my receipt, I noticed that I had been mistakenly charged for premium gas. Concluding that it was a computer error, I went inside the store to bring this matter to the attention of the manager on duty. I was immediately dismissed by the person that I spoke with (who claimed to be the owner), as he claimed that there was no way that what I was saying could have occurred. Basically, if the receipt shows that I purchased premium, then that is what I selected. I told him again that I did not select premium but rather regular fuel. Again, I was dismissed. In short, he called me a liar and we got into a shouting match, expletive upon expletive, which I’m not proud of, but I was so furious that he would not honor my complaint. He even went so far as to claim that of the «thousands» of people that buy gas there, I am the ONLY one that this has ever happened to. I challenged him with what I believe to be a fact that most people don’t review their receipts; therefore, would likely miss such a discrepancy. Again dismissed. He said that if he were to put his card in, he was sure that it would make the correct selection. I told him that maybe it would, but that still doesn’t negate the fact that the computerized equipment overcharged me. He went even further to say, after following me to the parking lot, the hose on the pump probably hit the premium button and that is why I was overcharged. This was my final dismissal before I got into my car and left the premises.
I have never encountered such an unscrupulous business person who would not even hear the customer’s story before brashly implying that the customer is wrong. This review is my small way of informing the public about (in my opinion) this store’s shoddy business practices and letting the public know how customer «unfriendly» they are.
This may not be a big deal to some (maybe most), but honestly we pay enough already without having businesses like this one cheat us on top of the high prices.
