Smoothie King

This place was pretty decent. The staff were all friendly and had patience while I asked a bunch of questions because I don’t typically
Drink smoothies but when I do, I would like mostly real fruit in it. So they helped me find one with mostly real fruit as opposed to fruit and juice. It was pretty tasty whatever they had. They could easily be a five star joint but I’m not impressed by the fact that they needlessly use styrofoam containers to serve their drinks. How about something that is easily recycled such as paper or clear plastic?

I was in on a Saturday afternoon. I was promptly greeted and the server was very friendly. He even made sure I knew about the Smoothie King app and even gave me a coupon for a return trip.
And of course, the smoothie was fantastic.

Ok I walk in & I’m greeted with: we don’t have any pineapples, mango or bananas. Hmmm why is this place even open if half the ingredients to make your shakes are out? So had to think about what was left so I went with the Orange Ka-​boom. It was OK but not what I originally went in for. Really bummed that they could be out of so many things at once.

You can miss this Smoothie King if you’re not careful. The BIG sign is facing a road with no place to park. Drive by it though and turn on into the collection of restaurants and you’ll be able to enter from the back entrance. It’s a little nicer than other smoothie kings i’ve seen, complete with apple computer stations for net access and a very nice ordering area with a wall of all your favorite fruits.
I like this location and it’s a very clean friendly nice smelling (who doesn’t like the smell of blended fruit??) environment. I will say, if you get the keychain scan, 10 will get you a free one and a large smoothie (costing about 8 bucks) will get you 1.5 scan points. Here’s the kicker… you must purchase them all at one store, i.e. 10 smoothies in 10 stores wont get you a free one, but will get you a scan of «1» at 10 stores. 9 more to go at each!
I usually go for the angel food, skinny, but there’s so many combinations, additions and subtractions that your head will spin at the amount of smoothies you can walk out of this store with.

I think an update is in order. They have become more consistent. They accept my coupons. I love the new key card, replacing the old paper, punch card.
In the mornings, this place can get kind of busy, so I call in my order and it’s ready when I get there.

I am a sucker for Smoothie King. I can’t help it. Gawsh I L-​O-​V-​E the Angel Food Cake smoothie. One day I will venture out and try new flavors…
The reason I give this particular location a 5 star rating is because of my main man that works there in the afternoons. The smoothies are great, but the service is awesome. He is the happiest most helpful person I have met behind a counter. He always has some fashionable older women hanging out in there when I drop by in the afternoons, drinking wheat grass. Now if you are getting the attention from the true Southern Belles, you know he’s got something worth talking about! I have to go back and find out his name so he can get some street cred! Its just plain refreshing to see customer service at its best!
Thanks Smoothie King. We will definitely be back for more delish delights in Hapeville! And take care of our man (name to soon be determined!). We don’t want him to go anywhere but up!
