Starbucks

This Starbucks isn’t far from the office, so it’s a convenient place to grab a coffee and a good choice for me and the team when we want to work off site and get out of the office. I’ve had mixed experiences here, though.
The staff and service have always been good, as have the products (they make a great Cool Lime Refresher), and the wifi is always strong. However, the layout is a little weird, as this location used to be a bank. In addition, the outside seating is limited. Because this isn’t a large facility, the indoor seating fills up quickly… and candidly, the seating isn’t as comfortable as in other Starbucks locations.
The real drawback for anyone trying to concentrate or work here is that around mid-​afternoon, the place fills up with kids. Not teenagers — kids. And, as kids do, they get exuberant and excited… and noisy. Casual customers won’t be bothered by the activity and increase in noise level, but if you’re there trying to focus and work for an hour or so, it’ll be difficult.
As with all Starbucks, they offer nibbles and a few heartier items, but take note — if you’re looking for a place to concentrate, this isn’t it.

Absolutely LOVE the service. The staff will help you with any problem, the manager is always available to help if you need it. The only time service is not up to par is Sunday morning.

It’s a great location with not much waiting and an incredibly nice staff! There drinks are just amazing and the food is good too!

I live so much closer to the other Chamblee Dunwoody Starbucks that I forget this one exists unless I’m driving deeper into Dunwoody. However, I’m liking this location a lot.
There are plenty of outlets and seating/​tables available. I believe they also serve alcohol and appetizers in the late afternoons, but I missed the narrow two hour limit by a few minutes. I got my usual soy dirty chai before settling into a booth like seat/​table to get some work done. I love how this location has varied seating options, with some more private space for quiet studying.
I can’t say much for the drive thru or whether the service was fast/​slow, but in terms of environment, it was quiet and relaxing on a Thursday evening at this location. Can’t go wrong.

I consistently get slow service here. I’ve come at every different time of day it’s always slow. Tonight, the guy at the drive thru was great and super nice, but it took almost 10 minutes to make my coffee. He was nice enough to give me a $ 4 off my next order, but I wish this was the case every time I’m there!

This place needs another barista station in front of store. Too many people mean, long wait inside for drinks. The employees are great and trying but just too many people.

What a great little location. Seated in a split residential and commercial neighborhood, you have easy access to food and convenience stores if you are pulling a long study or work session.
And it appears that is what people most often do here.
You will often find folks reading, writing, typing and holding business meetings.
That’s not to suggest that this place is business only. I’ve seen a few school children come during the afternoon hours to socialize, small groups arriving for their late morning treats and a solo types who just want to sit out on the cute patio to chill.
Staff here is cordial and helpful, and they keep the place pretty tidy. Most of the time. They also keep the display of goodies pretty well stocked.
You may be hard pressed to find an outlet for your devices. Try looking at the base of the walls, and also under the circular gold-​colored spots in the floor. And if you find an empty seat at one of the long tables, feel free to ask a stranger if you can take it. I’ve found the customers to be quite cordial also.
And if you are in a hurry, they do have a speedy drive-​thru window.

Love this Starbucks! JZ is awesome, and so is Hsuan! The employees are always friendly, this location is always spotless, and the drinks are always excellent. What more can you ask for??? Service is pretty fast. Every now and then they get backed up, but they always apologize for the wait, which helps.

I’ve been here 5 or 6 times, I must remember to check in. I love the iced coffee drinks (I always get the iced mochas). The baristas are always extremely friendly. Way more friendly if you are a man.
The sandwiches are great. I love the chicken salad. If you get a specialty iced drink, ask them to cut down on the shots — they are so sweet, normally! Too sweet.
However they’re extremely accommodating. This location is so very clean, everyone’s friendly (except a lot of the customers, but hey, it is Dunwoody) and there’s awesome seating outside and plenty inside as well. The lighting is a little bit dim, but that’s easily fixable if you sit near a window/​have blue light filters for your electronics/​etc.
The drive through is great as well — always packed in the am, but they are so fast and friendly, it’s no problem for me to wait in rush hour if I have to. Completely worth it.

First let me say I rarely take the time to write reviews because of my atrocious spelling so I’ll apologize in advanced. I used to be a reg before relocating:
This drive through has always been on point with my drinks. Even when they have a large line you get through rather quickly.
The boys at the drive through are polite and are always on the complementary (slightly flirty) side of customer service. After talking to mutual friends who were regulars it was clear they do it to most women just to make them smile. I am a firm believer those worn out mommy’s deserve the extra compliment and it’s appreciated! Even when I’ve gone through with my husband they are charismatic and their customer service is great.
I was back in the area today so I decided to stop through. I sat in the back with my turn signal on, in the other parking lot due to the wait. I was next and some women decided to completely whip around from behind me, cutting me in line, and taking the next space. The drive through guy saw and comped my drink. If I had anything but credit I would have tipped them a 20 simply it’s the little acts of kindness that should be rewarded.
This Starbucks goes the extra mile and they seem to enjoy it. Great team, great job.

This is one of the worst Starbucks I have been to and I come from a very small town where our Starbucks is even better. They just never seem to get my order right. I always order the same thing but yet every time I come to this Starbucks, it’s never the same price. It’s always $ 2.94 everywhere else but fluctuates to $ 3.58, 2.94, $ 3.98 and everywhere in between.
I only come to this Starbucks because it’s within walking distance of work. But even with the changing price of my drink, the customer service of one girl that always takes my order is lousy. Don’t know her name but she never fails to be as dreary as the day before. Dark hair, olive like complexion. Anyway, with her attitude and my inflated coffee pricing, it just makes me wish there was a Caribou on this side of town.
And by the way, I asked dreary girl one time why my coffee was not the usual $ 2.94 and her short answer was that Starbucks had gone up on their prices. Please. You guys just don’t know what you’re doing. I’ll just show my receipt with what I order and the true price from all other Starbucks when I come back to this one. Buh!!!

Great location, quiet and friendly. More like a neighborhood coffee shop than other locations. This is my favorite Starbucks in the area!

I have been coming to this Starbucks for over a year. Service is overall friendly but getting slower and slower. My main complaint is the wi-​fi. It used to work great — very consistent and not a bad speed for free wi-​fi. However, over the last few weeks it is very slow, if it even works at all. This is a selling point of Starbucks and if it isn’t fixed soon, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. When I come here to work, I need the wi-​fi to be up and running.

First time here and probably the last time. If you are used to a certain speed and standard that you get at most Starbucks. The service was EXTREMELY SLOW. I have never waited that long for a drink. It wasn’t because of a lack of employees they had plenty. The place looked like it could have used a good sweeping and scrubbing of the floors.

I’m very shocked to see the rating and reviews for this location (and I’m VERY critical of Starbucks… see my reviews for other locations). Even though this isn’t the closest Starbucks to me, I tend to go there the most these days (I’m usually there once per weekend, at least). I find the atmosphere to be better than most locations and I’ve never had problem with service (but I don’t order anything too fancy… adding a shot to my coffee is the most complicated I get). I do get mad if ‘my’ table isn’t available, but that’s not their fault… it’s not like they can just hold it open waiting for me to walk in!
I find this location does well above average and is one of my two favorite locations.

It took entirely took long for me to get my Grande Non-​Fat Caramel Macchiato. Not only that, but I take my own personal travel mug. The barista argued with me that it was not a grande size and put a tall into it. Really?
Grande drink at Starbucks — 16oz.

By the time I got my drink, it was not even right. She didn’t use non-​fat milk and it wasn’t even good.
I will avoid this location in the future.

Who doesn’t love a neighborhood coffee place. Especially one with a friendly staff willing help you explore new coffee options when you are in the mood for something different AND who can tell when it’s rush-​rush day and you just need to grab and go.
This location has the right mix of helpful staff and space is sit and work/​read/​meet inside and out.

Friendly people here. They seem to be a bit more relaxed than some of the other locations where they act like robots with popped collars.
I like this location since its close to my home, a perfect meeting spot for a friend nearby, and there are shade trees outside as well.

To say this place was the dirtiest is an under statement. The tables were NEVER wiped down, while there for 3 hours. We tossed away our drinks after, yet trash everywhere, floor was filthy. The drink was prepared well, staff seemed less then the definition of friendly. Very poor Starbucks.
Truly, FILTHY!

This is one of the dirtiest Starbucks that I have ever been to… I didn’t even want to sit down in my chair for fear of something crawling out. Just to make sure I didn’t catch the staff on an off-​day, I went two days in a row and nothing had changed.
While I was quickly served and there was minimal waiting, I still can’t get beyond their lack of cleanliness. With 4 associates just standing around you would think that one of them could sweep the floor.
