I am new to the area & wanted to try new places. I saw this when @ Publix & decided to try. Waited about 10 minutes to order-had 2 cars in front of me &1 behind. It was another 10 minutes to get to pay window, & after paying & getting shake, was asked to wait @ white line. I pulled up. A bit later(5+ mins. later, drive thru girl comes out & asks what I ordered. Really? I just paid for it! Luckily I remembered & I calmly told her. Another 5 minutes later, I got my food & left. Service is VERY slow. Food is ok. Don’t like the shake I got, tasted malted. Didn’t say it would be. Disappointed. Not going back.

1. I got the #8 portobello burger combo. The portobello mushrooms were burnt black. The burger was soggy. It was like they deep fried the entire thing. 2. My order of fries was half full. Did they run out of fries or something? 3. I politely asked the lady for some ketchup. Opened the bag and there was only 1 small packet. Seriously? Are they that cheap? 4. World’s longest drive-thru wait. Have fun waiting for your crappy food! The only good thing about this place was the soda.

My friend and I were really hungry after our morning workout, so we wanted to find the nearest and most convenient place to eat. I’ve had great experiences at Steak ‘n Shakes in other locations, and this location was no different. If you’re looking for a cheap, greasy burger and shake combo, this is THE place to go. We just couldn’t believe how much food we were getting for the prices we paid. Fortunately, there was some ongoing special that gave you a shake add-on for $ 2. Ridiculous, huh? Gotta love the South… Our workout was definitely pointless in the end, as we managed to scarf down a combined 4 steak burgers, two orders of fries, and a large chocolate banana shake. You couldn’t find a place like this in California because it would be like throwing money out the window. I love Steak ‘n Shake, but for the diet conscious eater that cares about their long term health… it is definitely not the best place to eat.

Bad service at this location. Long drive through waits. Customer service reps was not friendly at all. Food is pretty good compared to other Steak n Shakes. I enjoy the chili and hamburgers. I will only come to this location in desperation meaning nothing else is open.

I don’t know how some of your reviews get hidden but until you close and restaff this store it will always suck. I won’t try it again unless i see at least 2004 star reviews that are current.

One of the worst places in Atlanta. I’ve been there several times with people that wanted to go there. The food is 2 stars maybe 2.5, but the service is non existent. One of the last times I was there, we left because we couldn’t even get seated, and there was almost no one there eating there. When we have gotten seated, the servers roam around apathetically and eventually get to you when there good and ready. They are very inattentive. I don’t think they even have a manger, if so they are completely absent. Everyone there has an attitude. Another occasion the smoke detector was beeping very loudly every minute or so… it was very irritating, but no one cared or wanted to fix it. Go to waffle house instead… it may not look as good, but the service is far better. And that’s scary.

I ordered a skillet to go and was brought what seemed to be a pile of dirt with cheese sprinkled on top. Never mind layering thr hash browns, eggs, mushrooms, steak burger, and cheese the way the entrée is advertised. Just roll up a bunch of undercooked hash browns and mushed mushrooms and sprinkle some cheese on top.

Can I give this ZERO stars? This is the WORST service I have ever experienced. Unbelievable.

what a culinary abortion. this place was awful. this chain is awful. our food was awful. disgusting hamburgers. barely edible fries. the brownie milkshake AND chocolate milkshake BOTHTASTEEXACTLYLIKEPLAINVANILLA. there was no indication to differentiate the 2 except that one was slightly darker in color. but i digress. blindfolded they taste like vanilla. better off eating 2 day old hot dogs at 7-Eleven. won’t be back! :))

I visited this location today and went through the drive through. After placing my order I waited in line for about 20 minutes. When I finally got to the window I noticed that they a failing health score. Their current health score is 59 U. I decided not to eat there.

If I could have avoided the one-star I would have. This place has constant problems. Went on 7÷8÷2015 and here is what I noticed. 1. The server took their sweet time to bring out drinks. Took more than 10 – 15 minutes to get drinks. 2. Noticed many tables with no food. Couple next to us was here before us and was still waiting for food. They politely asked the server about how much longer would the wait be for food. Waiter response: «I only make $ 2.13 an hour not much I can do.» Couple responds, well this is ridiculous and leaves. Waiter tells kitchen, no need for number 11, they left. No urgency. No saving the service or sale.(Look waiter, I feel the 2.13 dollar pain, I’ve been a waiter, but that’s NOTSOMETHINGYOUSAYTOYOURCUSTOMERS) 3. Noticed a person not wearing any sort of uniform in the kitchen with long hair and no hair net. This person had hair that should have been required to have a net. 4. Received my burger. I ordered the Jalapeño Crunch stack with a side of salt and vinegar fries, and received something that resembled a greasy, sat-on, kids burger. No Frenches fried onions on top and 2 pathetic Jalapenos. The fries came with it. They messed that up as well and brought a small dish of salt and vinegar fries. WHY? all it is is some sprinkled seasoning. All and all, I was completely dissatisfied with this experience. I have no logical explanation as to why Steak N Shake corporate would continue to allow this location to run the way it does. You have good traffic there, this could be great. My recommendation is to shut the place down, hire better staff, train them under experienced management. People that actually care about the quality of the food and customer service.

This is by far the worst Steak N Shake in the country. How this place is still open or hasn’t been commandeered by corporate for a total staff overhaul is beyond me. I’d say their order accuracy is about 25%, meaning your order will only be correct every fourth time you come here. And the attitudes might be worse than the wait. Now I know what you’re thinking, «why is this girl expecting 5-star service at Steak N Shake?» Let me clarify — I don’t expect perfection, but I do expect basic service. The person in the drive through always needs a minute before you order(read: 5 minutes) and one time they handed me my food, and I sat at the window for another 5 minutes before the girl said«what are you waiting on?» With a bit of disbelief in my voice I said, «my two milkshakes.?» To which she responded«oh SH! T» and proceeded to turn around and yell further obscenities at her coworkers. Classy. All I’m saying is, if you want to lose a little faith in humanity watching the struggle and lose a few brain cells by pure association with this staff while you enjoy a greasy burger, welcome home. But expect to have the manager give you disdainful glances while you do. Sorry you hate your job dude, but I’m sure there are other people who’d do it. I’m about 1 cuss word away from contacting their corporate offices about this location. Just beware, and check your receipt!

This place is so poorly run I find it hard to believe that there really is a manager. Total chaos without any sense of urgency, standards, or concept of how a restaurant should be run. The staff is clearly disorganized and lacking sufficient training or supervision. The food is either stale, cold, undercooked or wrong. I won’t even mention how slow they are even compared to other Steak n Shakes. If it weren’t for the cherry Cokes, I would never go back. Simply an awful experience

Updating. We came again after my MIL wanted us to have lunch with her here. We caved. All I had was a milkshake, bad idea. I’ve never been so sick. My hisband had some prince something with an egg on it and a berry shake. He was sick as a dog. My MILAND brother in laws had chocolate shakes that tasted nothing like chocolate. Waitresz was bumbling and looked at us like an angry pigeon… Wtf is with this place???

Went to drive thru on Sunday morning. I ordered a drink, 2 sausage egg & cheese biscuits and 1 royale steak burger. After having to repeat my order three times because she wasn’t paying attention. Of course she was rude when I paid and of course I was told to pull forward. After a considerable wait she opened the door and leaned out not looking at me and handed me my food. I drove down the street and decided I would check the order. Of course it was wrong in many ways, bagel not biscuit s and bacon not sausage. I drove back and went to drive thru and they wouldn’t come to window so I went in. The three ghetto chicks rude women didn’t apologize; they only seemed annoyed. So I waited again for another 25 mins and it was obvious they threw the meal together in a fit of anger. My drink was Dr. Pepper not Diet Coke. Forget this place. I went to their website and of course the feedback section was offline.

Don’t come here late night and expect fast service. There’s normally a line inside and at the drive-thru. It gets to be annoying. You would expect that since they experience this every night especially on the weekend that they would have found a way to solve this problem. For example maybe schedule more employees, anything. Obviously they have not. The good thing is my food has never tasted like it was sitting there waiting, it’s always hot. I’m a fan of the fries and they are not overly salty. I love the milkshakes even though I never make it during happy hour. Here’s a hint for my impatient friends: Don’t come here when you think other people will be here ie. late night, after work etc.

Worst experience ever. I simply wanted to go thru the drive thru for a quick bite to eat before work. I placed my order and then the wait started. Let’s just say this shouldn’t be classified as fast good. I sat in the drive thru for about 15 – 20 minutes. People in the drive thru line simply started to leave. It was ridiculous. I got fed up waiting on drive thru and went to park my car and went inside to get my food. After waiting in the drive thru, I go inside and they hadn’t even started cooking my order… and then thru acted like it wasn’t an issue. Yeah I won’t be going back here… ever. Bye Felicia!

Good lord steak and shake. I was so excited in high school when this first came in. I actually thought my life would be changed forever… so young, so naïve! The shakes are awesome. The rest of the restaurant is pretty bad. The service is terrible. The place isn’t very clean. Everyone understands what this place is about: shakes. They are great to have at midnight. 8am. Noon. 3pm. Make sure you have ample amounts of time though!

I haven’t been to a Steak n Shake in YEARS. When I went in the past, the service was always slow and inattentive. When I came to this location last night, it was somewhat of a different experience. Perhaps, it was because we were pretty much their only current customers, and our server was the manager. We got our waters on time. The food came out in a timely manner. The manager came to check up on us after our meals came out. I got a triple steak burger and a Heath milkshake. Our food was fine, the burger was well put and not carelessly thrown together; and the Heath milkshake was just as expected. I’m not going to put much emphasis on the food, because it was pretty standard and I didn’t come here with the expectations of amazing food. I came here because of convenience(it was right next to where I was at) and cheap price. For $ 4, you get a satisfying burger with 3 patties and fries. Although I will say that the patties are kind of thing, but still cheaper than McDonald’s. Overall, not a bad experience. I’ll be back if I’m ever in the mood for cheap, decent meal late at night. However, I do wonder if the service will revert back to how I’ve seen it in the past, if I returned on a busy night or when the manager isn’t in the floor as much.

Food came out pretty fast on a Friday night! I’ve been to this location years ago and haven’t been back since because I remember my stomach trying to eat itself from such a long wait. However, this time food seemed to fly out! I was starving when I walked in and time usually seems even longer when you are already grumpy from starving. Our waitress was so sweet! She checked on us multiple times just to ask if we needed anything. I wish I had caught her name to give a shout out. I was too distracted by my desire for shoestring fries, which prompted the revisit. The burger was cooked and all the topping were as excepted. I was a pretty happy camper when I left. I’m really surprised that they have changed so much. It was exactly what I expected from a fast food burger place.
