I purchased cupcakes for my husband’s birthday in all of the flavors they had on deck and they were all delicious! I had red velvet and it was divine. I loved the fact that it wasn’t overly sweet. I didn’t try the cheesecake but was told by another patron that I must get a slice the next time I’m there.

I ‘d my first encounter with Sweet Auburn Bakery at the Unilocal Holiday Bash. As I said in my review of the bash, I could have stood at Sweet Auburn’s table and simply stuffed my face full of the good they’d created. Everything I attempted was truly quite great. The pumpkin cheesecake was sooo great. I am able to say the yummy goodness that’s Sweet Auburn Bakery made me desire to really see the shop. I do not live much and I can not consider that I have not been there before. Shame on me!

My obsession with cheesecake is insane. I found out about this place on the net after moving here 10 years ago. Saw a whole sweet potato cheesecake and lost my mind but never ventured to go get it. Finally made it to this bakery. First thing is the visual. Wow! Next is the smell. Heaven! The sweet potato cheesecake is so so so good and not super sweet. Just right. My only complaint is a bigger slice but hey I don’t need it anyway. Will definitely go back for more and also its very hard to make a choice. Everything looks that good.

Their coffee is delicious here, but why so expensive? A price for a small coffee, here, was actually more than what Starbucks, offers!

While visiting ATL I decided to visit Sweet Auburn Market to check out this bakery. I ordered the sweet potato cheese cake. It was pretty good. Not great but just good.

Its a solid bakery. Nothing really amazed me but they were good. I had the chocolate chip cookie and a lemon bar. Nice place to stop in for a sweet treat before you walk out the door.

I have stopped by a couple times. The first time was to grab some banana pudding. It was OK, nothing to write home about. The second time was to grab something sweet on my way to Dragon*Con cause I didn’t have time for breakfast. I opted for a red velvet cupcake. I was so happy to see the fork when I opened the box because it was a pretty big cupcake. It was also pretty good. I would definitely try out some of their additional treats in the future.

I’ve been drinking coffee since my parents finally gave me permission to, but I never tried iced coffee until I went to work at Sweet Auburn Bakery. Took one sip and I was hooked. As a matter of fact I spent a good amount of my paycheck buying myself hot coffee every morning and iced coffee many afternoons. Their coffee is THEBEST. Why am I bringing this up now? Made the mistake of thinking that getting an iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts would bring back memories of Sweet Auburn’s coffee. Not even close.

Their Scoutmob deal having just expired, dropped by to find not-as-friendly-as-expected proprietors and scored a solid PB chocolate chip cookie, for which they accepted plastic for payment.

NOTQUITE… My experience at this bakery was interesting to say the least. When it comes to desserts, presentation is everything. I don’t go for«pretty», I am looking much deeper and I want to salivate prior to purchase. I have to be fully engaged, before I even think about making a selection. I found the cookies to be too large and they looked very dry. If you are selling an oatmeal raisin cookie, it should look moist and tempting I should be able to see those raisins. The chocolate chip cookie had too many chips for my taste and the peanut butter cookies were oddly thick and looked very dry. The brownies were very thin and very dark and appeared to be frosted. Brownies should be thick, moist and rich enough that they do not require frosting. My daughter’s favorite pastry is the cheese danish but the one presented by Sweet Auburn was very small and not very tempting. It reminded me of the ones that you purchase in a six pack at the wholesale club. Bottom line is this bakery is probably fine for someone who just wants a sugar fix but I like to really enjoy my treats and that starts with a good visual and simplicity. They did have a varied selection and the employees were very nice so that warrants an A-OK.

This place is alright. We tried the sweet potato, strawberry, and key lime cheesecake. I was really excited to try the sweet potato cheesecake because I had heard so many good things about it, it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. The key lime was alright, it didn’t really have a strong lime flavor but it was still ok. My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake, it had a good flavor. Overall it was just ok, I would go back and try something else.

I stopped here because I saw some very tempting pics of desserts namely the red velvet whoppie pie… I also ordered the chocolate cupcake and I didn’t think it was anything out of this world. The pie was a little stale and the cupcake was nothing special.

Whoa. The coffee blew me away. Black iced coffee with a shot of hazelnut. I could really taste the coffee with every sip. Mind blown. This is what coffee is. I can’t go back to Dunkin donuts anymore. Red velvet whoopie pie is delicious. $ 2.35 but a pretty big portion. Satisfactory!

I was not planning on buying anything walking by, but the cookies, cupcakes and cheesecakes were so alluring. I found myself reverted to a kid in a candy store. The strawberry cheesecake I had was one of the best I have ever had. this is also a great place to grab a cup of coffee while in the sweet auburn market.

Great variety of sweets. I really love their cookies — oatmeal and peanut butter, the most. Classic flavors but delivered very well. On my last visit I tried the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie. It was pretty good. Because their goods are in a cooled display case you have to let the items get to room tempature to really enjoy them.

I didn’t expect this little bakery in the slightly run down market that it was in. But the store was cute and located near the entrance of Sweet Auburn Curb Market. Among the other vendors, this bakery stands alone, with cakes and cookies on display. One of the three servers can make your coffee(therefore if she is not there, no espresso for you). I was examining the different red velvet options, and ended up getting the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie, because that was my server’s preference over the Red Velvet Cupcake. And I’m definitely glad to have chosen this one. It was creamy, moist, and rich. Mmmm. Chocolatey. Along with that I got an iced latte with peppermint flavor(weird, but not bad, and actually paired well with the dessert I chose. There were so many other options that I will have to try next time!

The staff here is so friendly. They have a great assortment of baked goods(pound cake, bread) and sweets(cakes, lemon bars, cupcakes, cookies). We ordered two lemon bars, which were delicious! They aren’t your typical lemon bars because the top is not just powdered sugar but actually bread crumbs. It’s god an amazing texture and flavor to it without being overpoweringly sweet or cloying. Unfortunately, I was too full to order more pastries, but I will come back again to try other things here!

I honestly wasn’t planning on purchasing anything — I swear. I just wanted to take a look at their selection, but in the end, my sweet tooth prevailed. There was a large selection of desserts to choose from, pies, cakes, tarts, cupcakes, a huge selection of cookies — and they all looked absolutely delectable. I walked away with two pastries: a lemon meringue tart and a red velvet whoopie pie. The tart was nice, the sweetness was cut with a pleasant bitterness from the lemon and slivered almonds; the crust was crispy and not at all stale — which most can become after sitting in a pastry case all day. The red velvet whoopie pie however, was on a whole other level. It was composed of two red velvet muffin tops sandwiching a crème filling, drizzled with chocolate, and I think powdered sugar. So. Good. The muffin tops were perfect, moist — but they had some weight to it if that makes any sense. Hands down best muffin and whoopie pie I’ve ever had. The girl on staff was very sweet as well, she patiently explained what made up the pastries I was interested in and she offered us parking validation(first hour parking is free w/validation). Also there’s no seating at their concession, so you’ll either have to take your purchases to go, or stop by the bakery before you grab your lunch. Next up, I’ll be looking for that infamous sweet potato cheesecake!
