This place is open for breakfast/lunch, and their coffee and smoothie bar is open till six. The food is kind of hit or miss(except the pizzas which are always good), and it’s a little overpriced. Favorite items are not always available but include the kale salad, Brussels sprout salad, and tomato soup.

Table One is new at Phipps Tower; I think it was part of Carters moving their HQ to the building. As it’s still new, I think they are dealing with basic operational issues like lines and using the systems. It’s usually a pain to check out, and if you want to grab and go, then you go in a different door than if you want to order from the cafeteria side. This seems a bit nonsensical to me as I would like to grab bottled drinks with my carry out. That said, the food itself is quite good. It’s the standard fare of pizzas and sandwiches, but I have had the special plates of the day most days. They have been tasty, from fish tacos to pork loin to stir fry. The prices are a bit higher than other corporate cafeterias, but the quality is good. The salads take a while to get as well. Even if they have someone on the dessert side of the island, that person apparently can’t also make even a side salad if there are five people in line for salads, but he can just cut a slice of cake. Oh well, the variety has been decent and the people are friendly.
