Loved everything about this venue, bar staff was incredible, parking is cheap and it’s an intimate joint to listen to great music!

This place is such a ripoff for beers. $ 9 cans of Ballast Point just means they want to gouge their customers. Greed over serving their customers.

Great music venue. Skip the food at Stationside. Spend your coins on better food elsewhere.

Disclaimer: I’ve only been to this venue once… I usually like to visit a location a few times before making a review, but this place is my exception. The parking was $ 5.00, and was organized going in, but could of been slightly better when leaving. The front door was organized and they had the equipment to scan tickets from a cell phone. Which was convenient for us. Upon entering was an also artist singing with a live band(wish I knew the name, because they were great). The bar staff were very accommodating, fast, & efficient. Seating is almost non existent, but the music kept us on our feet dancing all night. The offer slightly healthy food options. I totally enjoyed the chicken & avocado tacos. The main performer came on shortly after the initial bands performance(s/o to CeeLo Green for his professionalism)!!! I was mainly impressed by how well organized the event was and really enjoyed CeeLo’s performance from beginning to the end!!! He was on by 9:30 and ended around midnight… Yaaaaasssss! I would recommend this location!

I really hate to do this but due to their poor business ethics here, I will no longer support this place even though parking is cheap and some of the musical acts it attracts is pretty good. I would steer clear from here unless you want them to steal your tickets to resell them at the door, take advantage of your open credit card tab by adding their own tip to the total after you have left to go home. Update, I finally got my refund but still very disappointed on how I was treated like a low class person for a simple transaction. I was only given one warning for the post and I immediately stopped but the ticket was still voided and I lost my 2 tickets that I was trying to sell along with the cancellation fee through stubhub. Just wished this was handled in a more professional manner. And for the credit card situation, it’s happened twice where I put an amount for the tip and more tip was added after the fact and I didn’t leave my credit card overnight. And I always leave 20% or more FYI as I come from the service industry and know how hard they work

Great venue, nicely spread out. Always a great time! If you have a band that’s playing here that you want to see, or any reason to go. Check it out. It’s worth it.

«I brought some old underwear to throw onstage at the Garth Brooks concert.» — The Big Bang Theory, Season 6, Episode 23 I love this concert venue for some many reasons, but mostly because they don’t every over sell it. Sure it’s small and intimate, but the acoustics are amazing and whether you are seeing a small bluegrass trio or a larger rock band, you still get the feel of being just you and the band — even if you are shoulder to shoulder with a stranger. Because a TW, everyone is there to enjoy the show. TW is part of the King Plow Arts Center complex and has a plethora of parking and is usually pretty cheap($ 5) even when a big name band is playing. The venue itself is just a hop, skip and a jump from the lot and the ticket booth is a small window right next to the door. The process could not be easier(and yes, they scan tickets). Inside, is a large floor with some stools off to the sides, a couple of bars, nice bathrooms, and upstairs area(with a bar) with a balcony and a great vantage point for the stage. Ticket prices are always within a reasonable range that doesn’t kill your wallet, which is a definite plus for me since I attend so many in a year. Drinks are strong and worth the price tag and this place is always spotless — this is the place to see your favorite group.

Fun place to see a concert. People tend to crowd by entrance so just move through to the other side or find a spot(like the awesome deck along the railroad tracks) to hear the music and view on monitors. Expect to stand. Offers free water. Usually very reasonably priced compared to other places you may see the same acts.

Prologue: J and I went to a concert here a couple of days ago. Initially I thought Terminal West was a cousin of Terminal 5 in NYC(another music venue) but it looks like they aren’t relatives. Plus Stuff: +Parking was pretty inexpensive($ 5), and a friendly attendant guided us to lot B. The stroll to the venue was only about a minute or two. The website FAQ tells me that there is free parking in «Lot 9» further away if you want to increase your step count. +I expected to be sweaty so I didn’t bring my jacket. To my surprise, it was almost cold in Terminal West. Easily removable layers might be smart during the chillier months, and also take into account the type of music you’ll be listening to(dancey? more chill?). +The space has a very modern cool vibe. +The merchandise table was located in Stationside, the restaurant attached to Terminal West. The Ticketfly ticket printout had a 10% off coupon for your meal. Although we didn’t have dinner here, it’s nice to have that option. +Speaking of tickets, the ticket provider is Ticketfly, not Ticketbastard. I wasn’t the one who actually purchased the tickets, but I’m sure Tickefly is a zillion times better. +I went to put a poster in the car, and the door guy kindly let me back in though it seems like technically there’s no re-admittance. +The space is cozy for a music venue. J and I walked in and wondered«Is this it?» Massive and impersonal can’t be used to describe this venue. +If you drink beer, Terminal West has a huge selection of craft beers in cars. There are two bars in the main area, and then you could get drinks in Stationside, +There is complimentary self-serve water on the bar, hooray! +The bathrooms were not dirty, and I didn’t have to wait in line to snag a stall. +Fun fact from the website: apparently Terminal West was a former«100 year old iron and steel foundry originally used to manufacture plows as a part of the King Plow Company.» Minus Stuff: –We wished there was more seating available. Our joints aren’t always up to the task of standing for hours, and comfy shoes and NSAIDs can only do so much to combat a concrete floor. There were maybe two seats at the bar I was at and a couple upstairs on the minuscule balcony but those were already occupied. –The sound was extremely loud for one of the opening bands. Earplugs were quite handy to have. It was also strange since the sound wasn’t deafening for the subsequent acts. So your volume may vary. –I smelled cigarette smoke here and there from my spot by the bar. I guess where I was faced the exit to the smoking patio. Luckily the smoking died down as the show went on. –This has nothing to do with Terminal West, but why are people always going back and forth during a performance? I hate when people walk by you constantly. Don’t you just want to focus on the performance and absorbing the music being made for you? I could go on with general gripes about concerts in general, but I’ll refrain. Epilogue: J and I had an excellent experience, and I’d come back for another show. Be like me and sign up for Terminal West’s e-mail list!

Cool place to catch a concert. Came here with AT and our friend for a Little People concert in November of last year. Truthfully, I am not into electronic music but I wanted to tag along just because. Plus this place is in the Westside area and I was more excited about the places that we could walk to after parking super early(to avoid usual lot overflow problems that are associated with concerts and such events). So… Since it was November and the concert probably started at 9 p.m. or something, I didn’t realize how cold it would be. We walked to Delia’s Chicken Sausage Stand for dinner, since I hadn’t eaten there before and saw my fellow Unilocalers review it to great fanfare, and ended up making a pit stop at Octane Coffee before going back to Terminal West to get some liquid refreshment and a break from the cold. Once we got back to Terminal West, it was fast to get inside and even find seats at bar-height tables. AT and JC went to the bar to get some libations as I held down the fort at our section of the table. The music didn’t take long to start and the volume was as you’d expect, which can be overly loud for me honestly. Yeah, AT can’t take me to many concerts but when he does, I’m shoving in ETYMOTIC Musicians Earplugs. Dude, seriously, I actually enjoy listening to music and just hearing in general too much to f*ck up my ears. Anyway, there seems to be a smoking area for people though after awhile. it seemed nobody cared about even leaving the standing/sitting space to spoke their pot and whatnot. So maybe even more bothersome than the super loud sounds, which I can mitigate with my earplugs, is the free-for-all drug consumption. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at these kinds of things. So good concert venue, for sure, as everyone else says, but I’m just not a big concert-goer.

First and foremost, I am a metal guy. No, not a male, constructed of metallic objects, but rather a punk/metal genre enthusiast if you will. Terminal West is just TOONICE for such shows. When the bathrooms at a musak venue are nicer than most upscale restaurants, then you know that bands like Iron Reagan or Napalm Death have no business playing here. This is not a negative review of the establishment in any way, shape, nor form, but rather a statement that promoters should maybe match their demographic a little better in the future. For instance: When hosting a grind/metal show, the venue should prahhhhhhhhhbably not post«NOSTAGEDIVING» signs for everyone to see. What do you suppose happened next? You got it… I grabbed a beer. Terminal West is a really nice place, but it doesn’t fit my expectations for the various rock/metal shows I’ve seen there. I don’t want to HAVE to care about the place, and Terminal West is like a new pair shoes that you don’t want to get dirty. At SOME point, they are going to get trashed, and throw up on your girlfriend and a mosh-pit is going to happen??? I’d dig the feel if I were here to see Barry Manilow, or maybe a comedy show featuring Eric Idle. Metal, this place is not. TOODAMNEDCLEAN! ;)

We went to Terminal West to see Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles and Flow Tribe and overall I liked the venue. PROS – The location is ideal. You don’t have to worry about what other concerts, conventions or sporting events are going on downtown. Since this place is on the west side you can get around much of the traffic and pedestrian activity. – No need to look out for orange flag waving parking lot attendants. There’s a secure parking lot at the venue. Pay the attendants when you arrive and feed the ticket machine to exit. – The venue was intimate and I liked the layout. There were two bars, one on each side of the room. Despite all the people in there it never got hot. The space had very high ceilings and fans were twirling overhead to keep everyone cool. – The ladies room was clean and there were lots of stalls so the line-out-the-door wait I’ve experienced at other concerts wasn’t an issue here. – You can get to the restaurant next door(Stationside) from inside the venue. It actually has good ratings on Unilocal too. CONS – The concrete floors were not kind. Except for a few seats near sound production, the venue is standing room only. If you’re not wearing comfortable shoes you’re going to feel it and the only place to rest your feet is next door at the restaurant. Still, we had a great time at the concert. I would definitely return to Terminal West to see other artists.

I went to Terminal West for a show last night and was highly impressed. I really liked the set up with Stationside being attached to the venue so you can grab a drink or something to eat before the show. I had a really good sandwich there and a 21st Amendment IPA from their extensive beer list. As far as the venue itself the acoustics were wonderful. I really like venues that allow you to be close to the artist this was definitely a plus. Also having two bars set up prevent a queue from building up and allows for you to focus your attention back where it belongs, on the artist performing. The staff there is also very friendly and helpful. Now that I’ve discovered TW I look forward to many future visits.

I haven’t been to a music venue this nice in a very long time. Make sure to enter this location into google maps. Don’t use waze or it will take you to a different area. I made that mistake. Terminal West is located at King Plow, so look for King Plow signs. You do have to pay for parking. Terminal West is located to the left. When you walk in, you see the stage area and two bars on each side. the other room has tables and chairs for you to hang out. There even a tv of the stage in that room, which I think is GREAT for those who need a break but don’t want to miss anything I came here for a work wrap party. They had drinks and appetizers, which were very good. They do give free water on the side of the bar as well. The bartenders were very friendly. Most music venues I go to are old and really dirty, but Terminal West is the complete opposite. Even the bathrooms are nice with plenty of stalls for the ladies. YAY! The band that was going to be performing that night was nice enough to perform for our party for an hour. The sound system is great and they were a great fun group to watch and dance to. I’d definitely come back here to check out to check out a regular show on the weekend.

This is my favorite place to go for a concert! The venue is a smaller one but the get a lot of great bands Don’t worry about parking since there is plenty for the venue. I do recommend that you bring cash for parking and park in the cash lot. Getting in and out of the cash lot is much easier than the credit card lot. The venue isn’t too big but they have every thing you need. They have a large beer selection at both their bars. Also, if you get hungry, Station Side Food(witch is attached to the venue) is pretty good. The Station Side Food area is also where the merchandise for the bands are sold and a great place to sit down if you need to.

As a devoted fan of the Atlanta music scene, Terminal West is hands down my favorite venue. I’ve experienced some of the best shows here — Caribou, Strfkr, Laura Marling, FKA Twigs, etc. etc. The list goes on. The acoustics and the lights are on point, and the staff really know how to make each concert experience special. Stationside next door is open for lunch and at nights when there are shows, so it’s super convenient to grab a bite to eat if you’re hungry before a show. Another + is the bathroom. I love my dive bars and venues, but I’ve grown to appreciate the rarity that is clean public restrooms. Lastly, ticketfly. I am a million times happier when using ticketfly… I hate you, ticketmaster. TY t-west for being the best venue in Atlanta.

Terminal West is a cool venue. I went to a comedy show here recently and had a great time. Plenty of parking, good audio quality, and two bars. What more could you ask for? Word to the wise: if you hear that there is seating upstairs, do not be duped. The upper balcony is quite small and really only has room for a few seats.

My review’s going to be a little different than most. I went to Terminal West for my company’s holiday party instead of a musical concert — we have 480 people in the company(plus spouses and SOs), so a big venue was a must. Anyway, our party planning committee managed to book the über trendy Terminal West space for the evening shindig and I was stoked to get to check it out. When my boyfriend and I arrived, a helpful security guard directed us to the correct parking lot(there’s a number of them to hold the influx of people for the Paul Mitchell Hair School, the makeup school, the photography school, Terminal West and the King and Plow Arts Center, which are all right next to each other). As we pulled into the paid lot, we witnessed a small blue Mazda get its wires crossed and try to drive up the sidewalk instead of into the lot, which was an amusing start to the night. Once we walked inside Terminal West, I was impressed with the size and ambiance of the space: cavernous, subtly lit by cool hanging lamps, a DJ already up on the main stage spinning tunes, two bars on opposite walls of the space, and a large doorway leading into a side room where there was a third bar and all the buffet style food was set up plus tall tables and chairs around the room’s edge for mingling. Great venue choice. While we were getting drinks at the bar, one of the many circulating staff came up to offer us sweet and sour chicken salad on crackers, then crab fritters and later mini beef wellingtons(very, very tasty). After we’d mingled and talked to some people we hit up some of the many buffet tables laid out in the side room. Here’s what I tried a bit of: bbq beef brisket with corn mashed potatoes(yummy), a bite of my boyfriends’s mac n cheese from the make your own mac n cheese bar(great idea to set up a DIY bar for dressing your mac n cheese), and dessert: chocolate tiramisu shooters, a bite of an espresso bar and bite of a cranberry orange bar. We didn’t even get to the appetizer table that featured cheese and crackers, chicken tikka masala and rice and assorted veggies and dips. It was quite an impressive spread of food, and very tasty. Whoever did the catering was great. By the time we left we had a much improved knowledge of Terminal West and what a cool space it is. I would definitely come back if a musical act we like played there. The biggest problem we had was leaving the parking lot: the ticket machine was just not having the validated ticket we’d been given. After seemingly endless tries though, it finally decided it was ok(or just gave in knowing we’d not give up) and let us out. Good luck to anyone trying to navigate that machine while drunk after a show.

[TL;DR] Amazing, cozy venue with a sound system that will rupture your eardrums. Imagine taking a place like the 40 Watt out of Athens and dropping it in Atlanta. 600 tickets. I think that’s the maximum number of tickets sold for a concert at this place. The place is one of the smaller concert spots I’ve been to but doesn’t feel too compact. There are a number of bars, including one outdoors on the upper smoking deck. It’s about the only place you can watch a concert and eat avocado fries. Speaking of, the upper deck leads to a balcony. It’s quite… limited. The best view is from against the rail since you have to look down to the stage. Of course, it’ll only fit about 10 – 15 people across… depending on the people of course. There aren’t any places to sit so make sure if you’re going to come out looking cute that you bring a pair of comfortable shoes.

This is hands down my favorite place to catch a show in Atlanta. Terminal West sits in the King Plow Arts Center on the Westside just down the tracks from the mixed use mecca of dining, shopping, and residential that is the Howell Mill Provisions District. Parking is delightfully simple, affordable, and quick on both entrance and exit. There is a deck for those with credit cards, and a cash lot beside the deck and back to the second level where attendants charge $ 5 per car and provide validated parking for the gates on the way out. The will call is literally next to the front door and is simply the easiest way to ticket here. Show some id, get a wristband, and in you go. Inside, the facility is spacious and inviting. There is a large main floor, center stage, and two bars in the back corners. The rear of the venue has bathrooms on the main that are astonishingly clean and well maintained for a venue hosting so many revelers. Upstairs, there is an outdoor bar overlooking the railroad tracks and a small balcony inside where you have a central view down on the concert goers and stage. There are some highback tables in the back of the venue depending on the show and stools along the wall in case you need to grab a seat. Acoustics here are wonderful compared to most larger venues. Adjacent to the concert hall is a full length, hardwood floor eatery known as Stationside. Never fear showing at doors open again, because you can grab a table and some delicious bites and drinks while you wait for any of the acts to start. Food is surprisingly good and worth the trip. Prices very reasonable too. Terminal West is simply a wonderful way to experience some of the best up and coming indie and alt acts when they come through Atlanta. Prices for shows are super reasonable($ 20-$ 30) and even sell-outs have enough room to spread out and enjoy yourself. Outstanding addition to the Atlanta Arts scene!
