I completely understand that internet service is not perfect but Clear Wire is so far from it. They have one of the worst internet and customer service. Clear continued to charge me $ 50/mo for an additional three months after I had already canceled. Every time I called customer service they would ask me a bunch of security questions for verification purpose, which is understandable, and even though I passed all five security questions they still don’t think I’m the account owner. I also had issues receiving my modem and hotspot, it took them two months but once I was finally set up and able to use their modem and hotspot it barely worked. It worked 30% of the time with very poor signal. The package that I bought claimed you can connect up to 8 devices up, the truth is only one of my devices was able to connect to it and it wasn’t even enough signal to go around. I had to call them 4 different times just to cancel and they didn’t cancel it until I finally called my bank. I’m with XFINITY now and in comparison I’m satisfied with their internet over CLEAR.

I’ve never had so much trouble trying to give someone money. My money. My hardearned money. I wanted to specifically mention that because I think all businesses should keep that in mind when they deal with customers. It’s my money. I don’t have to spend it with you and when I’m making the choice to do that you should pay attention. Yesterday I signed up with Clear and intended on buying my device($ 99) from this store. I found their information on their corporate website and tried calling, but the number didn’t work. It just rang until hanging up on me. I found that to be the case with 3 of the locations listed. I mentioned it on Twitter and someone from the @CLEAR account eventually responded by saying they were looking into the problem. Anyway, I ended up going to Best Buy instead and I’m connected. Later that same day @CLEAR responded that they called the number I provided and reached the store. I called right after I saw that and again it rang for a while and then I got a message saying«the mailbox for Tim Forbes is full.» A few minutes later someone called me back asking if I called that number. I asked what number they were asking about and told them I was trying to call the Clear store. She said that was the Clear store. I asked why it said the mailbox for Tim Forbes was full. Apparently that was the name of a former store manager. Not closure, but at least a response.
