If you enjoy throwing money in the garbage, this is the place for you. Without a doubt one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Service was appallingly bad. Basically had to start a riot to get a refill. I tried to order three different things and they were out of all of them. I ended up with blue crab that a homeless person would have turned down. Condiments were taken from chik fila. Plastic silverware. Nothing left to say.

Worst service ever. 90% of staff have attitudes. If you don’t specify you want well drinks then they will charge you for Top shelf and argue after. Don’t ask a server to find the manager. You’re better off finding him yourself. The place could have soooo much potential if they completely re-staffed the place

Boooooo! The worst experience ever and too long to even type… just beware as they changed the name from crab boil to crab spot… hopefully that made a difference :^/

Went for a birthday party. Found out they had no liquor license. Ordered a catfish taco to start. Came cold and looked like someone had bitten my fish. Couldn’t eat it. Got the catfish and shrimp basket for the main meal. Worst I ever had. How can one mess up shrimp? I’ll never be back. They ran out of most soft drinks. Had no clam chowder or lobster bisque though both were on the menu. I gave it one star since it couldn’t be zero.

Ordered the bag#2 special… it came with snow crab. shrimp corn on the cob and 2 small red potatoes for 18.99.the food was ok… but the add on gratuity for a party of 3. huh Like where they do that at. Also sat and waited atleast 12 mins before anyone came to take our drink orders. then about another 10 mins before 2 out of 3 drinks arrived. When we mentioned the 3rd drink to the waitress she replied that she thinks the bar ran out of CIROC.really.at 5:00 pm with no more than 25 diners. Then she went back to the bar and like magic. the drink was ready. One of the diners in my group had hair on top of their food. so the manager discounted the meal ½ off.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night, which is now called, «The Crab Spot». The atmosphere was amazing except for them having a dirty bathroom. The live band was very entertaining and the DJ kept me on the dance floor even though my feet was hurting. Now when it comes to the food it wasn’t what I expected. I had the catfish and frys which both needed some serious seasoning. On the tables they provide ketchup and tartar sauce, which I normally would never need, but in this case it needed all the help it could get. I would suggest to this restaurant, on each table they should have salt and pepper and hot sauce would have been nice. I would have ask for these items, but because the waiter was so busy my food would have been cold. My waiter was awesome in what he was able to do.

It was not worth the money. The crabcakes are horrible. The fried shrimp was ok. The service can be better. The music was good that is what gave them the 2 stars. I ordered the snowcrab and shrimp they didn’t give me enough crab legs. The server kept forgetting the things we asked for it. This will be my first and last time coming to this mediocre establishment.

Let’s first start with the server. I inquired about the crab cakes. I wanted to know if they were made with lump back fin? Anyone that has had a REAL crab cake knows the difference. She said I think so, yes: but they chop it up.(Blank stare) unfortunately the menu was very limited. The only this I saw that was some what inviting were the peel and eat shrimp. Well they were over cooked and very little basic seasoning. I decided to try the lobster bisque. It must have been from a prepackaged mix and all they had to do was add water. I could not get it down, especially with the plastic spoon I was given to eat it. We tried it and doubt we will ever be back. Maybe improvements are in the near future.

FIRETHECHEF! I’ve been to Crab boil 3x because my husband loves the crab legs. Twice i had the fish and HATED it. The first time it wasn’t seasoned so I had to ask for salt and pepper(which should have been on the table). I tried it again because I believe in second chances and Hated it again. I had to ask for Old Bay this time. Third time I had the crab legs and BOOM there I was with food I could eat. Unfortunately, my husbands po boy was just that poorly made. The bread was hard and tasteless with six little shrimps cowering under a heap on awful. I’ve been to Nawlins more than a few to know what a po boy should taste like. The atmosphere is great and the waitress are nice but save your money and eat somewhere else.

So apparently, the place went through some renovations and change in ownership since I ate here last. When my boyfriend and I walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly man and he immediately flagged down someone to assist us. Our server was very nice and attentive. We only got one pound of snow crab legs«jazzed up» because of the recent reviews we read. We had nothing to worry about. The food was as good as it was before. They had also gotten their liquor license since the last time. I know the previous owners didn’t have a liquor license. Once we figured out that their food was still up to par, we ordered another pound of crab legs to go. It still doesn’t compare to Hot n Juicy in Orlando but it’ll do in a pinch.

I was truly not impressed. Walking in, I did not know if I was in a club, sports bar or family restaurant. The DJ was playing the latest music at 7 pm. Not geared towards an older. Once the waitress noticed us, the service was mediocre. The food, hmm. The fish was tasteless right along with the hard fried lemon pepper wing. The shrimp was great.

Service was extremely slow and the restaurant was not that busy. The entertainment was amazing. I love live bands. I think I just order the wrong entrée. I should have order crab legs and shrimp but I didn’t feel like being messy so I ordered the fried whiting platter with fried shrimp. The food was lukewarm when it came out. The fries were semi-soggy from the chef placing the hot fish on top of the fries. I think my order was sitting on the ready counter for a while waiting on my companions food. Not sure. The waitress did not know anything about the wine list. Servers should be familiar with the menu for food and drinks in my opinion. Overall, I will give it a second chance simply b/c my companions said their food was good and the entertainment was great. However, the service needs to improve.

The fish was fried just right but lacked flavor. The shrimp was rubbery, the French fries were cheap, as well as the condiments. Drinks were over priced for the size. The band and DJ were good, but a little too loud. I would come for them but I would make sure I full and not thirsty… lol

If I had to rate the food only, I would give this place 5 stars. However, I gave it 3 stars because the service was below average. Food: The shrimp boil is served in a bag with 2 mini corn on the cobs and a potato. It is full of flavor. I loved it. I ordered mild seasoning & it was very spicy but still delicious. Whatever spice level u think u can handle, order 2 levels below that. My friend ordered the catfish & fries and said it was good. It came with coleslaw. Service: The Unilocal reviews do not lie. The service is not good. We were seated right away because we got there about 1 hr before the live music began. It took the waiter 15 minutes to ask us if we needed menus & something to drink. We ordered sweet tea & half n half(tea & lemonade mixed). The waiter said it would be a few minutes because they just started brewing the tea. Then we were told they do not have any sweet tea today. Two hours later the waiter came over to our table with a sweet tea & half n half smh… the staff was just being lazy & did not want to make any tea when we first ordered it. We also tried to order items off the menu that they did not have smh… BOTTOMLINE: The food is good. Service is not so good. Live music is ok. Recommend for drinking with friends and maybe socializing…

The Crab Boil is situated off of Peachtree Industrial Blvd and Tilly Mill. There is plenty of parking and I spotted four or five tables outside. The inside looks larger than it is because there are mirrors on all the walls. We were a party of six on a Friday night and they got three round tables and pushed them together, which I hated. I don’t like round tables pushed together. I like square or rectangular tables pushed together so the tables can be flush. Anyway, not that big a deal. I ascertained fairly quickly that service would be slow. Upon my arrival, my friend told me that she had ordered an app of calamari. It came 10 mins after I arrived and who knows how many minutes before I arrived that she ordered it. Anyway, I ordered the pound of snow crab legs which came with a half corn on the cob and a large red potato($ 18). You can order it mild, medium, or hot and with cajun seasoning or garlic butter. I ordered mild with garlic butter. It came to me in a plastic bag and inside one of those little red plastic baskets. The crab legs were okay, but could have been seasoned a little better. My first issue was that there was not salt on the table and I needed it for my potato and rice. Next, I had to ask for a side of drawn butter. I guess because they cooked it with garlic butter, I was supposed to dip the crab in that. No thanks. They gave me nothing to put my shells in, so I had to remove the plastic bag from the basket and use that for my shells. I did not fancy having that bag just on the table like that. I needed tabasco sauce(I like to mix it with my butter) and there was a bottle on the table with exactly one drop in it. These are all the things I had to ask for. On the table next to us, I saw that they were giving just the plastic bag of seafood with no plastic basket at all. Just dropped it on the table. That’s not all. Here’s where I thought the place should just close down and start over: I asked for a crab cracker(you know, to crack the shells with) and was told that they didn’t have any available. Surrender your license and go home. How is it possible that you call yourself The Crab Boil and then not have crackers for the crab? Your license please, right now. I ended up having to use a fork(which I had to ask for-what was I to eat my potato with???) to open my legs with and it was a cheap fork who rines were misshapen by the time I was done with it. What about this: I asked for some wet wipes after eating to clean my hands with. They didn’t have any. I can not stand dining at a place like this, where your needs can’t be met. It’s very bootleg and ridiculous. Others at my table order fried fish, and fish tacos. They all said that it was just okay and one person didn’t even eat her fish. They got two stars because they did have live entertainment that did a pretty good job. After they got off the stage, they played music and had a dance floor where people could boogie. That was cool. Sasha Love from KISS104 was there hosting the evening. The drinks were pretty good and mixed drinks cost about $ 8 to $ 9. So, bottom line is, don’t go for the food, go for drinks and live entertainment if you go. Good luck with getting things though. I probably won’t be returning unless I’m dragged with a friend. Bet I’ll eat first though. Get it together folks.

Ask yourself what matters most: Good food or a halfway decent experience. If you say good food, that’s only because you haven’t been here. My patience was pushed to the edge of reason. I absolutely do not recommend this place until it’s under new management. And make no mistake, no matter how terrible your waitress/waiter is(and they’ll probably be terrible), this is definitely a management issue. But if you really don’t care about your eating experience, which you probably should since you’re gonna end up with at least a $ 30 tab and small portion sizes(that was the smallest pound of king crab on earth), check it out. The wings were good, as were the cajun fries and king crab legs. Basically, everything that came to the table was delicious. The problem was getting it to the table. Getting anything to the table actually. Some of the drinks never made it. My grandma waited over 30 minutes for her wings. That was over 30 minutes after we got the last bit of food to the table. No silverware popped up. They only had plastic. I can’t confirm that though, because the plastic never showed up. I finally had to beg a separate server for utensils to open the king crab. Basically, cross your fingers and order take out. And if you must visit, go directly to the bar if you’re drinking. And skip hookah. The flavor selection was mediocre at best. And they were out of everything that did sound interesting. I’m actually sad to write this review, because it’s a nice venue, the DJ played good music and like I said, the food did taste good. This establishment is like the boyfriend, that everybody has had, that was so full of potential it hurt you to watch him fail. I can’t see myself going back.

The crab boil … So, I hear about the $ 2 Tuesday and Wednesday specials on the radio all the time so my best friend and I decided to try this out on a Wednesday. 1) Our waitress sucked!!! We waited 15 minutes before she came to the table then she made it a point to let us know she was in the bathroom. Then we waited another 35⁄40 minutes for 4 tacos and some fish. she just wasn’t a great waitress. And she said they ran out of wings. It was 8 o’clock! Sheesh. 2) The taco was … meh. Basic. A piece of chicken with lettuce in a flour tortilla. Btw, I hate corn tortillas. She didn’t even ask what kind we wanted. The music was. just okay. The DJ was ALL over the damn place. I may return and give it ONE more chance. MAYBE, but. i’m not sure. To whoever is contemplating coming here — try the sports bar next door. You may have a better experience.

First off there was only one waitress, 3 tables with parties of 4 or more and my guy and I ordering take out. Poor thing she was all over the place and kept forgetting our drinks along with the table of ladies who were seated to dine in. I ordered the tilapia and shrimp for $ 13.99 and received 1 piece of tilapia that was split in half(I’m assuming to give the appearance of 2 pieces of fish(see pictures), and 4… yes FOUR shrimp. My guy ordered a shrimp po-boy and it came with 4 shrimp lined along 2 large sized buns. I was so disappointed and felt robbed. Lesson learned. The food was ok. The fish and shrimp were good not great but the shrimp etoufee was very delicious. I wished that I had just ordered a large portion of it instead then I would have felt as if I received my monies worth.

My partner and I ventured outside of the 285 perimeter in hopes of feasting on sweet ambrosia dipped in butter. Unfortunately, The Crab Boil disappointed. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. They have an incredible amount of space inside. Huge projection television, about five HD televisions, a dance floor and stage, bar area, and multiple seating areas. However, the restaurant only had three other parties when we arrived and the atmosphere was very quiet and somber. I was definitely put off by the vibe of the place. We were seated by the one and only server in the restaurant. She was pretty friendly, but slightly reserved. The prices and seafood combo options were bizarre to me. Almost 20 bucks for a half pound of shrimp and half pound of crawfish. Really? Even the most expensive seafood bucket for about 53 dollars seemed to be lacking and definitely not worth the price. We decided not to dodge out of this place since we drove almost 20 minutes getting here. So I ordered the chicken po-boy which was the cheapest thing on the menu. My partner ordered the half pound of shrimp and half pound of snow crab legs accompanied with corn on the cob and greasy potatoes. The food portions were small for the price and I know for a fact that 8 pieces of medium sized shrimp weighs less than half a pound, so they skimped us. My po-boy was standard, nothing special. This restaurant better get it together and get it together fast if they want to survive in the Atlanta restaurant market. I won’t be back.
