Best bar in the city, hands down. Unassuming, affordable, great food. Couldn’t ask for more

I adore this little divey joint. It’s got an amazing and cozy atmosphere. Each time I’ve gone the servers provide stellar service, even if the bar is PACKED. The crowd is definitely mixed and everyone seems to get along which I attribute to the warm inviting setting. It’s a little small so if you’re a large group you may have a hard time sitting at the same table but it’s great none the less. The food isn’t your average bar food as they have rotating specials and each I’ve tried has been delicious. Try the Leviathan if you’re a fan of fried fish. I’ll definitely be back.

Hippie makes the best Brunswick stew on earth. I also love the yacht dog. This was my favorite bar in Atlanta when I used to live there. It’s a shame that I now live 894 miles away. This is the best bar/restaurant in Little Five Points – definitely worth checking out for the food, atmosphere and beer selection.

Yacht Club is Little 5 all the way! It’s divey, it’s cool, and it’s comfortable. The burgers are good, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the wait staff is extremely friendly and attentive.

Solid, smoky bar. Good tater tots, good wings, great beer selection, local vibes — what more could you want? This place is everything The Porter isn’t(aside from cool, at least); It’s unpretentious, simple and smoky. Don’t get me wrong, I love them both, but you don’t go to them for the same reasons taking beer out of the equation. One of the bartenders was really friendly, one was pretty cold, honestly. But, the rest of the experience made up for his demeanor. We’ll be back!

Living right over here is gonna be dangerous. Hanging out at a friend’s place, one mentions how awesome it is to mix lemon pepper and hot wings here. Not like some are lemon pepper, some are hot. TOGETHER. It is a salt bomb, probably, but a delicious salt bomb. So five of us head on over and order 50. And ate them all. This tends to be what I order because it’s just SOGOOD. I’ve been back multiple times. You cannot go wrong if you just want to drink cheaply and maybe eat a little something. The wings are awesome, the beer is cheap, it’s a fun place to hang out before you wander elsewhere(or go home, charge your phone, and wander elsewhere). I don’t think it’s really THAT much of a dive compared to other places but I always come here with friends and given other reviews, it’s gonna stay that way.

This review is strictly based on bar experience — but great little dive bar in the middle of little 5. Smoking allowed. Decent darts. Fun bar crowd.

This is a cool little bar that allows smoking inside, has cheap beer, and ample seating. Their food is pretty nice, although there are few veggie/vegan options on the menu. Their veggie burger is tasty, and tater-tots are always good. Last time I was there I ate the veggie cheese steak without cheese and it was delicious, tons of grilled veggies peppers and mushrooms and stuff, a++ would recommend. The music is never too loud and it’s never uncomfortably crowded. Good bar to hang out with friends at. You can smoke inside. You can meet weirdos.

I’m always in the Little 5 points area, I’m a fan of this restaurant. The food is greatly price, hot and over-sized. The bartenders are very helpful and warm as well! I always order my food to go because of the restaurant being so smokey! I don’t complain bc its obviously their niche! I just stand outside! LMAO My run down of my food! Hot dog, corn dogs, chicken wraps, tots, salads… its all good! I’ve never had anything bad! I will continue to go this place, but beware of the smokey stench after you leave! —– the reason of my 4 stars instead of 5

Wow. Wowowowowowow. Ahhhh…words cannot begin to describe how amazing this bar/establishment of awesome is. Or at least I am at a complete loss of words(which is not that hard really… curse you, Harvard conference!). Ambiance? Fabulous. Sharks on the wall? Automatic win. Dark, kitschy, nautical-themed? Decorate my home, please. Food? I had the Brunswick stew with a side of fried okra. Ummm… so I’m from the ol’ RVA. Virginians have their own version of this glorious adventure of the tastebuds known as Brunswick stew(sans bbq pork, add lima beans) and I grew up loving that particular version. This Georgia version, while a bit sweet for me, was absolutely delicious. Bowl of Brunswick = destroyed. And that fried okra? Oh be still my beating heart. Perfectly fried, didn’t taste like grease, omg… fried okra, how I missed you(midwesterners don’t seem to like the okra… too slimy). Staff? Kickass. Super friendly(and genuinely so!), super helpful(thank you for the food suggestions!), very chatty… all of them were just great. This bar had potential to be super snotty and **hipster-y**, but no. The staff was down to earth and awesome. Thanks for making my experience so wonderful. Music? Good! Never obnoxious or anything, but never snotty either. Good selection. Seriously, I wish I had this bar back in MN, but I know it would never work in MN because… well…MN. If you happen to be in Atlanta, be sure to hit this place up. Easily one of my most favorite bars ever. EVER.

I’ve been going to the Yacht club for over 20 years now. Little 5 Points area, and the Yacht Club were the REASON I wanted to move to Atlanta way back when. Such a diverse crowd! We’ve seen everything come and go over the years. Miss the dedicated motorcycle parking out front. Miss the oversized orders of fries, but understand that in order to keep prices in line and down some things must change. The stew is still just as good. The phillies are a little leaner than they used to be in their hey day. Some of the staff has changed, most of the hard core clientele has not. This is the place I want to be when I want to be ME. When I want my Xtall Pauliner with a shot of Chambord and fat orange slices. When I want to walk in the door and the servers know who I am and what I drink and that I like extra pickles. When the crazy décor is as familiar as my own hands. Where my grubby little hole in the wall with clean restrooms is and has been more comfortable than my own home on occasion. I love this place. I love the food, I love my booth, I love my servers. Bury me under Yacht Club, my heart is already there.

Super sweet servers and bartenders. The beer is ok — i think they need to clean out their drafts though. Just tastes musty or dirty. Food was okay. Burger is great — bun was gross, lettuce was iffy — onions tasted old, and tomatoes tasted fake! Definitely not organic goods here. Sweet potato tots tasted great — pretty slim for the price though. Chili was ok. Desperately needed flavor and totally lacked freshness. Flavor just wasn’t there. Missing something, for sure. Service was amazing though, I would come back just to have a good experience with the staff. Really stinks in the place. I know it’s a smoking bar, but we were only there for a bite to eat and a drink or two, maybe 45 minutes, and came out reeking like smoke even after driving with the windows down for 30 minutes. I love the people, will probably not eat here again. Oh, and the beer«specials» are a joke, and nasty.

Really, really smoky. But always room to get a drink or bite before shows at Variety Playhouses. With a wide selection of decent bar food.

As a first time visitor to Atlanta we wanted to eat where the locals eat. We asked around and were almost immediately directed to the Yacht Club with the advice to order the wings and house made pork rinds. We were not steered wrong. This place has the ambience of a laid back dive bar and the food of an upscale pub. The service was friendly, the drinks were good and you can sit right at the window and people watch. Order the jerky yaki wings. Hands down best wings I have ever had. And the pork rinds are so fresh they melt in your mouth(and crackle on your plate!)! The boiled peanuts and pulled pork were excellent as well. If I lived in the ATL I’d definitely be a regular here.

This is a genuine find. We were lucky enough to stumble across it, but the trio of friendly locals that shared our table(and who insisted on buying us a drink for the privilege) reckoned this is «the best bar in Atlanta». The busy ambiance and authentic eclectic interior is quintessentially American. The menu is too although it’s not gourmet, or innovative, it is hearty and casual.

Great bar with good drinks and surprisingly good food. Fun to sit and have a drink or throw some darts. Also very friendly staff who go out of their way to help you. Recommend for a low key night if you’re in the area.

Food is considerably better than Manuel’s. Try the brisket plate! Meat is tender and flavorful and sides are cooked just right. Specials are consistently good too. Drinks are honest pours and reasonably priced. It is a smoking establishment and the smoke is not handled as well as Manuel’s so not recommended to anyone who is unable to tolerate a little smoke on the no smoking side or a lot of smoke at the main bar. It’s Katz’s «go to» for weekday meet with friends. Weekends are too noisy for Katz as his workplace is full tilt bedlam and he needs the quiet time.

As many years as this place has been in existence, as many friends have ever said to me, «Hey, let’s meet at the Yacht Club.» I finally got to go here for a very late lunch one day. All the other times I’ve simply passed the place by(mostly because it’s always insanely crowded). But my late lunch means the place was in a lull. And it was great!(Especially since the place is smoke-friendly – going during the lull means less smoke for me.) Casual, familiar, and no-nonsense is the name of the game. Staff was right there and ready with menus, suggestions, and quick banter. Even as they got ready for the evening rush. Service was f-a-s-t. We ordered some pork rinds. Forget everything you know about pork rinds. Freshly made, these things were still cracklin’ when they hit the table. Still contracting. Delicious. And let me tell you: freshly made pork rinds are a perfect match for some good chili. And the Yacht Club makes some excellent chili. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. I can see why and how this place has earned and kept its reputation. I know many folks who will stop off for a beer and to hang out for a while. I will have to go back for more. Holler if you’re coming with.

This is one of my favorite bars in Atlanta. They have cider, great food and a dartboard! Booze: This isn’t a fancy drink kind of place. They have a full bar. The make a delicious vodka cranberry. Service: The place is usually pretty packed, but the bartenders are great about getting you served. They’re no-nonsense bartenders. They’re there to get you a drink not hold your hand. Food: EYAC has delicious food. The BBQ pork burrito is absolutely delicious. They also have great blue plate specials throughout the week. Everything I have had here has been great. Atmosphere: Once again the Unilocalers are throwing around that dive bar term. This is not a dive bar! Go to the Northside Tavern if you want to be in a dive bar. I like this bar. They have comfy bar stools, a couple of booths and a dart board! I’d forgotten how much I like this place. I’ll have to start coming here regularly again.

Yacht Club is a real life, walking talking, nitty gritty, makes no excuses bar. If your old burly uncle Tom who lives off of cigars, whiskey, and red meat could be transformed into a bar, that would be EAYC. It’s a dark and crowded small room right off the main Euclid Ave. triangle. I think the only lights in the bar were either florescent red or these tiny lamps situated on a few of the tables. The drink choices are basically standard beer or standard liquor for a standard price. Side note– they do have champagne if you are looking for some bubbles in your life. They’ve got darts going in the back and I hear pretty tasty bar food. The crowd is mixed. Ages ranged from young, trendy little 5ers to old, seasoned regulars. You can tell that EAYC is the type of place that has a cast of characters that come here at least tri-weekly. If I lived in the little 5 area, it would be a good place to grab a drink occasionally, but I can’t see myself making the drive to Euclid just for the purpose of going to the Yacht Club. There wasn’t a whole lot happening, but I think that is the draw of a place like this. EAYC– not my cup of tea but it is certainly someones.
