Under no circumstances should anyone move to these apartments. Problem #1 is that these apartments are INFESTED with roaches! Even the exterminator hired to work for this building commented that roaches were literally RUNNING out of apartments that he entered! The rent is way too high to be paying to live with roaches! What makes it worse however, is the new management that took over. Even though the roaches were present prior to Matrix taking over, at least the leasing office staff with Tribridge was accommodating and professional in the way they dealt with residents. Matrix staff has been nasty to me since day one. I went into the leasing office to pay rent with a money order, and the property manager, Caesar, had the nerve to tell me that he did not want me to pay by money order because it was not convenient to him. I was unaware that I was living in my apartment and paying rent for HIS convenience! There is nothing in my lease that requires me to pay online, so I will pay in whatever way that is convenient for me! That situation immediately spoke volumes to me for the type of customer service and regard for residents offered by this company. This past weekend, the gate was stuck for hours (literally would not open), therefore leaving myself, as well as other residents stranded and unable to leave! I complained to the manager, and he responded by telling me that there was nothing that they could do for me, because «the situation was handled appropriately and in a timely manner.» I am having trouble understanding exactly in what world having the gate stuck for hours is considered to be handled appropriately and timely! Dog poop surrounds the grounds outside, trash lines the stairwells, and break-​ins have also increased under current management. I now fear for my safety living here. I will NOT under any circumstances renew my lease at this place, as ever since Matrix has taken over there has been nothing but inconvenient renovations and horrible customer service

I have lived here for about 5 months now and have no regrets about choosing this place to be my home! Rent prices are very affordable, especially for the area. They are pet friendly (but with a pet deposit) and they have their very own fenced in dog park. It is small, but perfect for small dogs. I have personally not heard of or experienced any crime in the complex; but it is in Midtown atlanta so you have to know what you are getting into. Every time I place a maintenance request, it is done within 48 hours. My unit had new carpet put in after the last owner; very clean. Management is pretty «hands– off» and relaxed. No problems whatsoever! I have recommended this place to many of my friends and will continue to!

I recently moved into metro on 16^th when it was under lane properties the last week of december 2009, with my roommate of 2 years we decided to get our own one bedroom apartments in the same complex instead of getting a 2 bedroom… We used the same uhual to move both of our things here with our beds side by side… I started getting bites all over my body that came in 2s and 3s and now have scars all over my hands, back, arms, neck. every where because the apartment was not cleaned before I moved into the apartment. I addressed the problem to the leasing office which told me on a Thursday that they couldn’t get pest control to my apartment before Monday. So after being sent home from work because my clients (I am a hair stylist at a very prestigious salon) they thought I had chicken pox, the office moved me into the «guest apartment» and asked me not to bring any of my belongings because «they didn’t want to spread the bugs»… The leasing office called me about a week later to let me know they had an apartment available I could move into immediately. excited to have all of my things in one location so I was no longer sleeping on the couch of the guest apartment and walking upstairs 3 flights to shower and get ready I started to bring things over that same day… As soon as I open the door there are MASS amounts of dead bugs all over the kitchen floor in the bedroom and turning on the bathroom light and seeing 3 roaches flee was enough… I called the leasing office (which even after the new management has known about all of my frustrations of having to throw away my bed and couch and have to pay for all of my own dry cleaning did not even bother to look in the apartment before giving me the key) had the exterminator come out to look the next day which were advised to have SEVERAL more spray s before the apartment would be available… So now coming up to my fourth apartment in less than 40 days I move a table, my tv and all of my salon products to do a client in the 4^th apartment, where she and I were in the middle of her color when I was trying to leave to get us some drinks from another one of the 3 apartments I am residing in this hell hole… I am LOCKED IN THE APARTMENT!!! the security dead bolt is turning completely around in circles and will not budge… I call shawn down in the leasing office because my client is in a panic and we are trapped in my apartment… Instead of trying to calm me down in the situation his exact words…” If the door doesn’t work there is always the window” I am on the fourth floor of the apartment over looking ikea and he is offering for me to jump out the window instead of calling someone… so he sends maintenance up which they just scream thru the door.“are u sure you are turning the lock to the left’” are you serious”’!!! You think the problem is I cant figure out how to unlock a door!!! They had to kick down my door and it took over 4 hours for them to fix it and shawn the property manager said he is «impressed with the time it took» I do not have 5 hours to sit in my apartment to wait for it to be fixed!!! The apartment has offered me the month of March free because of all of my trouble… I have to buy a new bed, a new couch, pay for all of my own dry cleaning on everything I own that cannot be washed in extremely hot water, change my address 3 times, move 4 times, sleep on a couch and walk 3 flights of stairs in a freezing cold open hallway every morning for work, and keep track of 3 sets of keys because of «the inconvenience» not to mention my old roommate’s closet shelf fell out over a month before they fixed it «because they had to wait to borrow a stud finder from another community» so she has all of her clothes on the floor and my window has been broken in the apartment since I moved in the last week of December and I am still «waiting on the parts to fix it» … This place is ridiculous, the leasing office can’t do anything but tell you they need approval from their boss, I can hear my neighbors talk, walk, i know when they are doing laundry, taking a shower, having sex, and flushing the toilet. They are poorly built and not maintained at all, I highly recommend you do not pay their outrageous rent prices to only have to replace your items when they take «responsibility» and recognize they have caused you thousands of dollars of damages and the pain in the — to move every week while maintaining a full time job and offer nothing but condolences. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT MOVE TO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!
