I decided to check this place out today when Fellini’s on Roswell Road didn’t have my order. I didn’t want to wait, so I called the Buckhead location and the girl on the phone with me was so rude. I was driving from one location to the other when I remembered there was a pizza place by Panera. I decided to give it a try as I was beyond annoyed with Fellini’s. The wait wasn’t long and they weren’t packed. The pizza was pretty good. It wasn’t as good as Fellini’s though. :(

Long wait time and food was not prepared well. The staff was apologetic but very unprepared. I am very surprised that they thought the plates we received we acceptable to serve.

I have a friend that has been telling me to try this place for a few years. Actually, it was before they opened in Buckhead. Sunday, I couldn’t decide what I wanted for dinner so I was just driving and was like okay today I’ll try it. When I walked in I noticed it was set up like a Chipotle or Subway. You pick your crust then go down the ingredients line. The pizza comes with 3 toppings, but you can add more. When they’re done you pay and they put it in the oven. That was kind of cool to see your pizza made right in front of you. When I first walked in, there weren’t any employees at the«Order Here» section after a few minutes an employee came but she was chewing on food. That kind of turned me off. I used to work in restaurants and we’d swallow a whole loaf of bread before we let a customer see us chewing lol. I had a few questions and she answered them all. The guy that cashed me out was really nice. He told me about the rewards program and explained it in detail. The pizza took about 5 – 7 min to cook. The pizza was very delicious. I got pepperoni, basil, and meatballs as toppings. I will definitely be back. Parking is free in the shopping center lot.

Atlanta is home to some really GREAT pizza joints, but what I find missing is that«create your own pizza» experience. Insert Uncle Maddio’s! Although it’s a chain restaurant, you get an old school pizza joint experience. What I love is how diverse the menu is. You get 3 options for crust(original, whole wheat, and gluten free), and then a host of options for toppings. Unlike most places, cheese does NOT count as a topping so you can mix and match. They also have a host of sauce options, veggies, meats, peppers, etc. It’s basically a Subway or Jimmy John’s for pizza! Now for the price: For a small pepperoni & spinach pizza, with a large drink, I paid $ 10.80!!! I thought that was an AMAZINGDEAL! They also give you the option of having you pie«extra crispy» when putting it in the oven! I will admit that the local pizza places have long been my favorites, but there is a special place in my heart for Uncle Maddio’s.

They may not have a white pizza on their menu but they sure do make a mean one! They have all the ingredients for you, just ask! Especially good with red onions! :) The resturant is always clean and staff is always friendly. It’s never too busy and love how the pizza is cooked just right and the crust is nice and crispy. Much better than«You’re Pie» down the street. They’re over priced and not good. You get a gluten free pizza, and the crust is always burnt. Eww. :(You’re Pie is right next to my work but I still drive for better pizza at Maddio’s! Maddio’s has WAY more options and their food is WAY better! Save your money and have a better pizza.

Yet once again I give this place a shot at letting me carry out a pizza and test again this place fails! The employees are completely inept. This is the THIRD time in about 18 months amid five tries they have screwed up. Basically this time they just forgot to make the pizza until I was there then told me they were making it for me and then they didn’t actually make it. The guy behind me also had his order messed up. I hate to say it but this place is so badly managed I hope they go out of business. The managers are the root of the ineptness but the employees I have dealt with generally don’t care about customers either. Please some other restaurant put these guys out of business! Marcellos has much better pizza just across the way, and their employees are nice, responsive and friendly.

Love this place. Friendly staff and a great fast casual spot. Good value for what you get. I most recently enjoyed the patio with a friend and her 20 month old. I find the food to be very tasty. Great gluten free crust too according to my celiac friend. Check them out!

Horrible service, got my pizza, which was not very good and not one server checked on me the entire meal. Had to flag one of the servers down just to get my bill. Should have just walked out, they probably wouldn’t have even noticed. Upon receiving my bill, I asked the server to get me a sweet tea to go and she brings me back an unsweet tea. Will never return or recommend this place to anyone.

I work just down the street from this location, so it often comes up in our rotation of lunch locations. I appreciate how fresh the ingredients always are and I’m always finding myself trying something new that I really enjoy. The service is always very friendly and quick, which is a huge plus.

For the price you can get much better pizza at Saporito’s or a few other pizza joints in East Cobb. I guess this was a situation where I walked into a restaurant for the first time with higher expectations than what was reality. The pizza was OK at best. While we were eating, the manager was loudly training his employees how to «upsell» customers at the cash register. The kitchen area looks cluttered. Nothing horrible, but I doubt I’ll be back.

I really want to love this place being that they have healthy ingredients and wheat pizza crust but they need some more flavorful pizza sauce. The staff is always friendly and overall the food is good but this is not the place to go if you want a plain cheese or pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately the pasta sauce has little to no flavor so you will need to load the pizza with meats and veggies as well as some garlic powder and oregano. However this place has more than just pizzas including sandwiches and salads. They still get three stars for having healthy ingredients and wheat crust which you find at very few fast casual pizza joints.

I’m not really a big pizza eater but this place was kool. My friend was the push behind even coming here. I was actually glad I did because they have good food. The location is good for me too as I frequent the area and the tvs showing the news makes it a great place to duck off when on business but need a bite.

Great neighborhood joint offers sparkling fresh ingredients for pizzas and salads, COLD beer, reasonable prices. This isn’t snobby competition pizza but it’s 100 steps above any other chain. The management and line cooks obviously care about satisfying the customers. We’re happy Uncle Maddio’s is in our neighborhood. I wish they delivered!

I’ve been to two of these locations so far and so far, this is by no means a disappoint compared to the other one! I love how friendly the staff is, how tasty the food is, and the colorful atmosphere that just seems to fit ANY occasion! The staff is bright-eyed and watchful for chances to be helpful in any way that they can, or so I’ve noticed during my first visit. I love the liveliness and the welcomingness that they give to people coming in! This really seems like a great team and I can’t wait until the next time that I return!

I don’t know how anyone with working taste buds could actually like this place. This was by far the worst pizza I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Frozen pizza has more flavor. I am totally OK w/no frills, assembly line style dining as long as it tastes good but this just didn’t work for me. And the teenagers working there who seemed utterly confused about how to do their jobs didn’t help. I said I would like a Greek pizza and then was asked what I would like on it… Umm, how about the toppings that come with the Greek pizza. The good news, there was no line and it was fast. And plenty of free parking. Maybe a good option to bring little kids who aren’t picky eaters, they may enjoy picking their toppings.

This is a fun concept, although I think the experience of it all depends on the time you go. For example, don’t go at 6pm unless you too have given up on everything thanks to the children you created. We had to wait ten years in line because everyone had to order their 3 children their own little cheese pizzas. Now this wouldn’t bother me if maaaaaybe they had a few of these pizzas prepared in advance since I imagine not that many people get their kids individual pizzas with gorgonzola, anchovies, and portabellas. Granted, the problem may have been there wasn’t even enough dough for this to happen and nobody was really on it at the time. There were a LOT of people that just came through ahead of us so that seemed kind of weird. So finally, your turn. Your white/wheat/gluten-free pizza crust comes with mozzarella and three toppings, and additional toppings are extra. There’s a ton to choose from. Oh and like six sauces but for simplicity’s sake tomato works for me. They also have specialty ones you can choose from. I decided to go with goat cheese, fresh jalapeño, and pepperoni. It was surprisingly really good. I wasn’t expecting much given the crowd but every element of the pizza was pretty good. Then again if you make bad pizza you probably aren’t going to be a multiple location franchise are you? The good thing is you can phone in an order too so I think that will probably be the next way we go. Or maybe wait till 7:30 or something.

I am a big fan of Uncle Maddio’s. I have frequented the one in Toco Hills for awhile now, but just recently started going to this location. I’ve been hear twice so far with large groups and have had good experiences both times. Uncle Maddio’s is known for their pizza. They have a fantastic menu of individual sized pizzas — my favorites are BBQ Chicken and Portabello Pesto. They have wheat, white, and gluten free dough to choose from and so many toppings. Aside from pizzas they also have great paninis and salads. This location is very new and you definitely feel it when inside. Everything is nice and clean and organized. No signs of wear or tear — just a generally nice atmosphere. The employees here are super helpful and friendly. Lots of smiles. All in all a great place for a pizza — give it a try!

3.5 Curiosity killed the cat and had to check this place out since I have to drive by it twice a day. First time in thought it was a make it here and you take it home and bake it place so I left. After seeing so many cars in the parking lot decided to stop in again come to find out you can dine in ! Salads, Panini’s, Pizza’s and a few sweets are offered. Pizza’s are in three sizes are and there is a make your own option pick your poison people the price includes cheese + 3 toppings($ 6.99) ton’s of options are available, Sauces(6), Cheeses(8) Veggies(24) Meats(15). There is Glutton free(+ $ 2.00), Classic and Whole wheat dough available. For those of you looking for something different mandarin oranges, roasted corn and tofu were also on the menu hmm ? First time in — I tried the Spicy Italian pizza ingredients are sausage, banana peppers, mushrooms and fresh basil, this was tasty. The side salad — Mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoes and shredded carrots is surprisingly large for the money. Next two visits — I chose to make my own Artichoke hearts, Canadian bacon and Mushrooms was great. The Italian salad was big enough that I was able to get two meals out of it and the Italian dressing here is yummy. Meatball panini — is just o.k. I do have one complaint, the staff here seems to be inexperienced and likes to socialize with each other when they should be paying attention to customers. This won’t stop me from returning I just won’t go there if I’m in a hurry. Fix this and I will give them a solid 4.

The last time I went to an Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint was over a year ago( ), and I had only tried the pizza there. Since this particular Uncle Maddio’s opened just a few months ago and is located close to my office building, a co-worker and I decided to check it out for lunch around 1 pm on a Monday. We are both striving to become healthier in the new year(plus I’m participating in Unilocal’s «In It to Thin It»(IITTI)), we had decided to each get a salad. My co-worker did the«Build Your Own»(Mixed Greens w/Choice of Protein and Any 4 Veggie /Cheese Toppings, Croutons and Choice of Homemade Dressing) while I ordered the Maddio’s House Salad. Similar to the way they create pizzas as you watch, they assembled our salads just as we wanted them. There was no one in front of us in line, so we got our salads pretty quick. You pay at the front counter once you get your food, and then you seat yourself. * Maddio’s House Salad — This salad consists of «Mixed Greens, Free Range Grilled Chicken, Mandarin Oranges, Almonds, Red Onions, Cucumbers, Croutons and Homemade Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing.» I had it exactly this way EXCEPT for the red onions. The salad was a pretty generous size but not ginormous. Initially, I was a little hesitant about getting the Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing because I was afraid it may be too sweet, but I did want to try the salad the way it’s «supposed» to be. Fortunately, the dressing actually looked like balsamic vinaigrette(my favorite salad dressing) and had the perfect hint of raspberry flavor to it. I absolutely loved the mandarin oranges and almonds, and the entire salad was fresh and delicious. I only asked for a *tiny* bit of croutons, which are basically seasoned and chopped up pizza crust. They were tasty and although I wish I could have more, my body was glad I didn’t. Overall, Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint gets 4 stars for their surprisingly great salads! My co-worker enjoyed his Build Your Own, and we were pleased that the salads cost less than $ 8 each when the same thing may have cost more than $ 10 at other restaurants. After the IITTI challenge is over at the end of February, I’ll definitely be back for a pizza! [Review 005 of 100]

I actually went to their opening. They gave away free pizza(when you purchase a drink) for a year. That was awesome. So I have a year of free pizza to look forward to. I have actually used a couple of my vouchers already. The staff handled the madness of the opening event with ease, it seemed. And it didn’t really take that long to get our pizza. But they are made super quickly. I love exploring the different combinations of pizza. For the same price, you get a pizza with 3 toppings. My fave combo is pepperoni, garlic, and spinach. The staff is nice and energetic. But who knows… maybe that will wear off over time. lol. Great value for what you get. But for some reason this location does not have a military discount like the Toco Hills location does.
