Wagging in Style

I took my 2 havanese to be groomed by Julia on a neighbor’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. Her shop is easy to find. It’s nice and clean and inviting, and quite peaceful! Two things impressed me the most: How she treated my dogs: They are normally friendly and warm up to people very quickly, but they liked Julia so much that when I walked in to pick them up (she was putting on last touches behind a gate), they were so engrossed in Julia, they didn’t even notice that I was there for almost 2 minutes! The other thing I really liked about Julia is her attention to detail, which I really appreciate. Not only did she do a great job, but her prices are very reasonable. Besides having a few dogs for daycare, she also can keep them overnight, which is good to know. I could tell she really likes her clients, and they really like her, which to me means she obviously treats them gently when grooming. My Ari is a little wiggly worm, doesn’t like to be brushed, and he some times gets very anxious, but he seemed like he was having fun with Julia, which said a lot to me.

Took Scout, my labradoodle, for an afternoon daycare visit and for me to check out the place, given the one star review. I like the daycare because they don’t take more than 5 or 6 dogs. Scout hated to leave. We then took him back for grooming. He was raring to get into the place and he came out looking great. No problems, just great service. Scout just loves Julia who groomed him.

This groomer is terrible. I understand that sometimes dogs can be flustered when they are groomed, but if an accident happens, I. e they clip a nail to short and it bleeds all over the place, they should apologize. This groomer did not apologize and just rudely said that our dog moved around to much and these things happen. Well if you want bad grooming and possible bloody dog toenails for your pet then this is the groomer for you.
