I’m a fan. Maybe a bit too much. I was working from home for a week and I went every day for lunch. I came close to ordering a Banh Mi every day. I took off Wed and got the Bun instead(which was also amazing, just not as portable). Great place, just be prepared. It can be addictive.

I was excited to come and check out this little joint after reading an article about Q(Owner’s nickname) in the Atlanta Magazine. We ordered some Banh Mi sandwiches and we really enjoyed them, they tasted very fresh with mince pork, cilantro, cucumber, and pickled carrots and daikon. The menu consist of a variety of sandwiches and some Phở. Staff was very helpful and friendly, Q came by to talk to us… let me tell you this lady is inspired. Come by and check out this cute little restaurant.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place until now. One of my all time favs in Atlanta. Best Bahn Mi, Phở, Boba. Can’t go wrong. The collaborative idea is genius. Solid joint, great prices.

This review is purely based on takeout, and all the Mister and I grabbed were a couple of banh mi(chicken for him, pork for me) to take down at a picnic table across the street, next to a little flea market. Was it my favorite banh mi ever? No. BUT, they did get a lot of things right — the bread was quality, the pork was tasty and unctuous with just the right amount of greasy goodness, and the veggies(pickled and otherwise) a crisp and fresh counterpoint to the meat. Could the innards have been slightly more generous for the price? Sure. But was I so upset I was prepared to turn down a solid banh mi? Heck no.

The food is AHHHMAZINNGG! And Q’s service is on point! I’ve been going for a couple years now and everytime it’s the great quality service and food! She does a co op now and it’s such a cool thing to give back to our community and share different types of foods! This is one kick ass place!

I am a big fan of the bun mi Vietnamese sandwiches. Usually I purchase them on Buford Hwy or Jimmy Carter. I read an article about this place. The article indicated these were the best bun mi sandwiches in the city. Of course I had to try it. After trying this place: my advice, go to the real Buford Hwy(such as Lee’s Bakery or the place across from Sweet Hut) pay $ 2.50 and get yourself a delicious bun mi sandwich. Unfortunately, I had to toss the once I got here, and paid way more $ for, because it tasted that bad.

I was trying so hard not to like this place because call me a Vietnamese snob, but I felt like the best Vietnamese, and hence banh mi, is from Buford Highway. However, the banh mi at We Suki Suki has proven me so wrong. This may be my favorite grilled pork banh mi in the Atlanta area. The pork was perfectly cooked and not overly sweet. The ingredients were fresh and the bread crispy. I didn’t get to try the Phở, but I did get to taste the Lemongrass Chicken Chao(rice soup with cilantro, green onions, etc) which was also fantastic. Sadly, only open for lunch. The whole place is very casual. Seating is communal and limited. Street parking only. I’ll be back to try the other banh mi and am so glad that I no longer have to trek to Buford Highway to get some good Vietnamese grub!

Stumbled upon this spot and just had to eat here. Ordered the beef phở made with grass fed beef which was super tender. I felt like it was missing something. Like it was a little bland. But still good. Apparently this is the owners moms recipe– straight out of a hot pot. Served till its gone. Super legit. Loved the décor esp the tree wall, lanterns, flowers on the table… and the random«cock socks» hanging up for sale. Those made me laugh. Great friendly service. Super cute neighborhood too.

I can’t say enough about this place. My team at work had food brought in for a team lunch, and I fell in love with the pork banh mi. I went again on my own for lunch on my birthday, and had the bahn mi again with the vegan phở. Amazeballs. Simple location(EAV, across from Argosy), nothing fancy, amazing food though. Communal seating, so, you may sit next to a stranger you can get to know like I did. Great time. I will absolutely return. The food is a must-try.

This is the stuff food dreams are made of. I’ve visited this spot for about a year, and the food is consistently delicious. The party of flavors with every bite is a symphony on your palate.

Finally! A decent bahn mi sandwich south of Buford Hwy. With the limited hours, you’re going to run into the owner who simply goes by «Q». She’s very hospitable and has a very interesting story if you’ll let her tell you. What I ordered: Pork Bahn mi — 4⁄5 Lemon grass chicken bahn mi — 2⁄5 Beef phở — 3⁄5 The pork bahn mi is where this establishment really shines. I’ll definitely be back for more. Q runs the place with a few helping hands so I understand the limited hours, but I really hope this thing grows and serves dinner. I’m really glad to see the Vietnamese offering grow in EAV.

How did I not know this place was here?! As someone who frequently makes the trek up to Buford for authentic asian food, I was excited to find this place nearby. It’s the most tasty hole in the wall I’ve ever been too. You walk in and order directly at the counter. Next, they bring the food to you in the room next door, with picnic tables. I had the beef phở and the vegetarian bahn mi and every bite was delicious. If you love phở like I do, you understand that it’s all about the broth and this did not disappoint! I couldn’t stop eating. The tofu bahn mi was also flavorful and I ate every bite. All at SUCH a great price! I’ll be back, a lot.

I’m a pretty recent addition to Bahn Mi Lovers Anonymous so I can’t speak to the intricacies of this Vietnamese sandwich other than: it’s freaking delicious. But really, isn’t that all you need to know? The baguette is crazy crusty yet soft on the inside. The pork is well-flavored, with a decent amount of it on the sandwich. There’s a good balance of ingredients. What really makes We Suki Suki awesome is Q, the owner. She’s on top of everything in there and still super friendly. The first time I was there, she handed me my sandwich and thanked me by name in such an enthusiastic way, I briefly wondered whether we’d met before and I’d just forgotten. The space itself is pretty tiny but with the mini food hall now open next door, you can walk through the interior doorway that connects the two and enjoy your sandwich at one of the picnic benches. Sandwiches are currently $ 6(they were a dollar cheaper when I first stopped by earlier this year). While the menu is small, there is decent variety. There is also a variety of chips and fancy drinks to complement your bahn mi. Oh, and don’t forget to check out the menu board for whatever evening pop-up is around. It used to be an Italian place and now I think it’s a Southern/Asian fusion. I love that the space is being used after closing time to allow a small new business to grow.

Lunch: 12:00PM11÷5÷2015 BEEFPHO $ 8.00 Finally, had a chance to try We Suki Suki, which is only open serving Phở between 11:30am and 2:30pm or until sold out. The location is a micro version of Krog Street Market, Auburn Street, Poncey Market within the City of Atlanta. She is hosting seven vendors to serve global eats like tamales, pasta, gluten-free cakes, and phở. But all on different hours and days of the week. I am not an expert on Phở, but have had phở in Los Angeles, Buford Hwy, NYC and my favorite Phở — So Ba Vietnamese Restaurant in East Atlanta Village — the competition. Basically — I can probably make a better Phở at home. The key is the broth and the freshness of the meat. Appearance:3 Texture:2 Taste:1 — — — - 6 of 15: 2.5 Grade of C Will I eat Phở here again — possibly in the future, when she has perfected her skill, and craft in making Vietnamese soup.

Super yummy bun with BBQ pork, all the ingredients were very fresh. Service was outstanding. It is indeed a very tiny space for dine-in, but looks like they do a mean take-out business too. I heard they are expanding into the space next store, which will probably be better for everyone! We also got the boba tea which was a bit too milky for my taste… maybe try the coffee variation if you’re craving boba when you’re there.

Solid bbq pork bahn mi. Crusty baguette, plenty of meat, nice and spicy. It might not be as good as the best on Buford Highway, but it’s as good as I’ve had. The place is small, really too small to eat-in even though they have some stools nestled against the wall and in a little front alcove. Better to take it to-go, find a shady bench and do some people watching while you eat. Maybe you’ll get a visit from Bob the Vietnam vet, as I did while sitting outside Argosy. That guy sure can talk. Highly recommended.

I don’t visit Suki Suki often, but I wish I did. I would come here for lunch once a week if I worked from home. I’ve had the pork and chicken bahn mi and I prefer the flavor and spice of the pork, but I order the chicken when I’m lessening my pork/beef intake. While these bahn mi aren’t as veggie packed as the sandwiches you can get on Buford Highway, they match the BuHi sandwiches with authentic flavor and outrank them with more meat. You can by Zappo chips and Pellegrino brand drinks to go along with your sandwich(Suki Suki is in the EAV and has to feed hipsters.) Most people like Q(owner), and that means a lot. If you can put out good food with a smile, people are going to come back again and again. A warm hello when you enter a shop goes a long way. Not enough businesses realize how important this is, but Q gets it. And while Suki Suki is small, you can eat at one of the counters along the wall. The diners I’ve seen don’t seem to mind sitting side-by-side. If you eat on Buford Highway regularly, Suki Suki doesn’t compare, but it doesn’t have to. Buford Highway is 25 minutes away from me, but Suki Suki is only 5. Not too hard to figure out where I’m going to stop first. Unilocal 100 #4
