Ok so this place has a reputation but me and my coworkers wanted a quick snack to munch on so I called in a Togo order.(1 side of fries, 2 orders of queso) the woman(robin) immediately rolled her eyes as I walked in. I just let that go and waited for her to return to the empty bar. About 4 minutes later she comes back a little friendlier and asked if I was the Togo order– she passes me the check and I immediately lay down my debit card. She notices but turns around to text. About 3 minutes pass and I’m just waiting to get the hell out of there and back to work, she cashes me out and charges me gratuity. So my $ 12 check was now about $ 15. I leave and drop off all the food at my work and realize she shorted me a queso and I noticed she didn’t charge me for it so I went back to the store to grab it. I come back to the empty bar and she is telling her life struggles to two servers at the end of the bar. I totally understand. We all have bad days, I’ve so been there. I wait, and I wait and I wait. Six minutes later I’m still waiting for acknowledgment from anyone. I finally wave my hand for attention and she comes flustered and accuses me of lying. She says the queso was in the box and demanded I bring it in for anything to be done. I told her it wasn’t and I dropped it off at work and not a big deal because I wasn’t even charged for it. This severely irritates her so I ask for a manager and she snapped that she was the manager. I know we all have bad days, I am a server myself. However, you cannot treat people this way. Especially if you want to fill up your already bad reviewed corner tavern. I’ll just stick to Edgewood and the soon to be opened l5p again… What a terrible terrible experience and I truly hope robin has better days.

Went here because La Urban was closed down. Nice selection of beers – cheese and salsa appetizer was good. especially the cheese. Overall food was decent, my only true knock was the service should have been A LOT faster since there was not a large crowd.

Servers super prompt and friendly. Food really good and consistent the few times I’ve been. I love this place and take my mom and friends there as much as possible for their fried artichoke hearts!!!

After a quick google search of Saturday night Karaōke places, my friends and I ended up at the West Midtown Corner Tavern. The site had promised great drink specials and cool karaōke give aways. When we arrived the place was pretty empty. There were a few people scattered about, some playing pool or darts, and others hanging at the bar. Not too many people were there for the karaōke, which has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantage: you get to sing alot more. Disadvantage: no audience. When we ordered our drinks, the staff was extremely friendly but surprisingly slow for the lack of customers. We inquired about the website promoted specials, but they had no clue they existed. Apparently the site was pretty outdated. Regardless, they honored the deals which was very nice of them. Dave, who ran the karaōke, was great. He really engaged with the few karaōke participants, you could easily tell he loves his job.

This place sucks. The food sucks. The drinks suck. The waiters sucks. It’s like a horrible 1990’s rock video. The only thing okay about this place is the $ 11 botomless mimosas(18% gratuity included), but there’s a BBQ place 2 doors down that has botomless mimosas for one $ 10+NO gratuity. Save your money and go anywhere else.

Wonderful food! Great service! The spicy shrimp quesadillas and garlic mashed potatoes are the bomb! Unlike most quesadillas you get in restaurants, these aren’t seething with grease. Definitely a plus. And if you’re a fan of mushrooms they use shiitake :)

Ive come here before on weekday/weekend nights and its been fine. Always friendly bar staff and service– not too busy all the time which I like. Although the bar service was fine, I came here for my first brunch and was not blown away. My friends arrived earlier than I did and they were too hungry to wait for me so they went ahead and ordered before I got there. Once I got there– I placed my order(which was about 15 minutes later) and ordered their $ 11 bottomless mimosas. The bar must have been busy because I did not get my mimosa for a while. Then, my friends stepped outside and my food showed up– but theirs didnt which is a little odd considering i placed it after they did. I do understand though that sometimes individual orders come out faster than a group order(minus me, there were 4 other people there who ordered all at the same time). It was a Sunday brunch with football playing so it was a busy day which I understand why the kitchen and service might have been a little slower. There was also an obnoxiously loud group next to us that would not stop screaming which didnt help much of the mood. I’ll most likely be back for a night of drinking but probably not for a sit down meal.

Don’t order pickup, they charge 18% automatic gratuity for a pickup order! Who does that? Why would I be forced to pay gratuity on a pickup order but not when I actually sit in and order? #Braindead

Came here specifically because we were looking to throw some darts(and have been to Ormsbys a few too many times as of late). It was about 5 o’clock on a Saturday and the place was empty which was surprising because there was a ton of college football on and it’s supposed to be a sports bar. There were maybe 3 or 4 people plus the bartenders who just seemed to be hanging out. We went down by the dart boards and the waiter brought us a couple menus. We asked for darts and were told that they didn’t have any left because people had broken them all. We decided to leave. The place felt like of grimy, there were some dirty tables that had leftovers from brunch which apparently ended at 3pm. Probably will not be returning.

My burger was very bland… not much seasoning at all. I wouldn’t order it again. The waiter was cool but called everybody(the guys at least) «babe.» Maybe that’s her way of trying to get more tips but it came off as really annoying to me more than anything. The drink specials were pretty cool. I think most folks come here to drink instead of eat anyways so I guess it’s a win win for all involved.

Went there by myself looking for some good food, a beer, and a cool environment. There were enough people there, but not too much. The service was fast and accommodating. I found a cozy little corner booth closer to the front door facing the back of the building towards the pool tables, which I want to go back and get some use on. I didn’t like that I wasn’t able to see the tvs from my booth which was less than a yard and a half away from me. My first beer had a flee on it which I returned back to the bar tender and asked for another. He gave me another but I’m not sure if he just didn’t wipe the net off the beer and give me the same one again. I hope not. There was a nice mixed crowd and I wasn’t the only one there alone so that was cool. The music was rockin’ just like I like it. It’s a smoking venue, but it wasn’t a bad layer of smoke in the air or anything. It was okay. Well when my food came, I got buffalo wings and garlic green beans. The first wing I bit into tasted a little old, but after that they were okay. The buffalo sauce was really very delicious I could’ve taken it home and put it on some better fresher wings I got from the grocery store and made myself. I would go back. It was chill and good.

Food is above average bar food, service every-time I’ve been is far above average for a bar… clientele can be obnoxious but I’m not into screaming conservatives, loud lame cocaine jokes or people being rude to their servers… so I just tip the crap outta them and be on my way I could elaborate, but I’m not self righteous enough to think anyone cares to read a five paragraph Unilocal review. It’s a pub, it has decent food, time your trip to avoid the drunkies.

Sigh… wtf is up with this place and its inconsistency!!! Im going to a 2 star review because I HAVE experienced better with this place. Its so annoying that it hurts! I really like this place. I was craving the Salmon BLT [I give the bacon to him] one cool Sunday afternoon. I was too excited because its been a while. First, we order drinks. I wasn’t sure what I wanted but the Mr. and I both decided to order Grateful Deads. The waitress [as cute as she was] came to us and said that one drink was going to be about $ 20 and she just wanted to give us a heads up! WHAT? you playing right? All you’re doing is adding a shot of Chambord to the other 5 liquors that are in there. We’ve ordered one there before and wasn’t threatened with a $ 25 charge but whatever. Just give me a top shelf Long Island and be done… or are you going to charge us $ 10 for every liquor you pour? Give me a break. We ordered the Fried Pickles and our meal shortly after. Our pickles arrive greasy as hell so we didn’t eat most of them. Okay, cool, that’s not what we’re really here for anyway. So on the next one. The waitress comes and assures us that our food is coming out shortly. Okay, cool, no problem. So we waited and waited and waited. Here she comes again… this time with bad news. She goes«did you just hear someone scream down there?» I go «yeah» She goes«that was me dropping your food!». Ummm okaaaaayyy now we have a problem but I remained cool about it. «the guy down there backed up into me and I got nervous and dropped everything», she explains. Everyone has bad days. So our food comes out in a jiffy. Hmmmm did these mofos just pick up our salmon and slap it on the same bread or nah? So the food arrives — finally. My man ordered tater tots with his sandwich and I got fries — burnt fries. They were damn near chocolate if they would’ve left them in there a second longer. I tried not to trip. I’ve gotten soggy fries here before so they cant be too bad. I took a bite of one and then another. Okay, this is a damn stretch. First of all, olé girl shouldn’t have brought my fries to me looking like that — EVER. I do understand how she could’ve felt since she had to have those guys remake our food but damn, you do want a tip at this point, don’t you? I hate when servers do that. Look at the food you are serving, would YOU eat it like that. Hell nah! so don’t bring my food to me looking like this. I’m waiting til she walks back by. She’s been prancing around here all this time now this chick cant be found. Oh, there she is, hanging out by the bar trying to look busy. I politely walked over to her and told her that I needed another order of fries«hey, I would like to order another batch of fries. my fries are burnt». Another girl interjects«are they crispy?» «Nooo, they burnt», I said a little bluntly. What I wanted to say was #$%*#^ who asked you? I wasn’t talking to you, I was talking to my waitress. Oh, and forget I mention the look of my sandwich. I was PISSEDTHE %*(#@^ OFF! I was so friggin’ hungry I just ate it. I know damn well the bread is supposed to be FRESH from Holeman & Finch. WTF happened here? Why is the top of my bread falling off? You know how old bread looks when its about to go sour? The top of it starts to separate and even if you toast it that bitch is super hard. Yeah, that’s what the hell they served us. [I’m getting more upset as I type this, cant you tell???] So some dude comes from the kitchen and brings me the fries. They look MUCH better but hell, my sandwich is cold as shit now but whatever. He apologized about my fries — musta been his ass back there playing in the kitchen and effed around and burnt my fries. I asked him«hey, be real with me, did yall use old bread?» He looked shocked that I asked him«no». I said«come on now?! cuz I know what old bread looks like». He responded with a no like he was talking to his mother after being scolded lol Our waitress comes back over to the table shortly after he left and asked if everything was ok. I was honest this time — «absolutely not». She wanted to know what was wrong. Come on now!!? You know what’s wrong but I began to explain everything to her. She gladly got the manager. Oh, you’re the manager… the one how added her two cents… yeah, her. She walks over and squats down to talk to us. She claims that she’s seen us in there before and wants us to be satisfied and come back. She took 20% off the bill. I still wasn’t happy with that. I told her how disgusted I was with the service and she agreed that my fries should’ve have come to me looking like that — well if that was the case wtf did you try to act dumb and ask if they were crispy!!! You saw how brown they were from the bar! Anyway, I’ll probably find someone else to go and make my own damn Salmon LT and BLT for us. UGH! This is what, my 4th review? You know its serious and feelings are involved when you have to update your review over and over again.

Super slow service. I think it took 30 minutes for our lunch order. We ordered three tacos(lunch special of the day). The food was a good lunch portion for petite little olé me but not enough food for the two men I was with. Wouldn’t be opposed to another visit but it probably won’t happen.

This is my new Sunday brunch place. Bottomless mimosas and the Silly Chicken makes for an amazing find. The other offerings on the menu look just as delicious but after the bartender raved about this chicken masterpiece, I knew what I would be eating. And I wasn’t disappointed at all. The staff was friendly and attentive and the whole atmosphere was inviting. The food was delicious and perfectly made. And there wasn’t an empty glass to be found.

Because I’m such a fan of customer service, I think this place really deserves a 3.5. I had a brunch date with an old friend here and I had the French Toast. It was supposed to be topped with fried bananas and powdered sugar, and technically it was lol. However, the server brought my plate out with 3 little fried banana slices for SIX half-slices of French toast. Where they do that at??? I asked for some extra and it was brought out with no problem but still… Unfortunately, this was a fairly flavorless dish. Incredibly forgettable. My friend had the eggs benedict, which our server claimed was just oh-so amazing. The portion size of this dish is itty bitty. They don’t use the standard sized english muffins, they have some that are about the size of a Pepperidge Farm sugar cookie(don’t judge me!). It comes with a side of asperagus as well, which I thought was a nice accompaniment. Either way, my friend was left less satisfied so i had to give up some French toast lol. They have turkey sausage, which is nice. It was bland as well, but at least they have a non-pork option for those special dietary preferences. Even though the food overall was like a «2», the customer service was awesome. I really liked our server. She was personable and fun. The best part was when the staff and customers together started singing one of the songs that came on over the speaker. I loved that. I’ll have to come back, but not for the food. They apparently have a lot of fun stuff going on like Karaōke and game nights so I’ll have to check it out.

I love this place. Not far from Atlantic station actually located in a neighborhood. My first experience was with a friend who lives in the area. The place is Divey. a lot of locals some out door seating, board games and pool tables. Service have been great. Staff were very quick with orders. There burgers, wings and frys are mainly what I order. Burgers are huge with fresh cut frys. Wings not bad. Drink prices are very reasonable. Healthy selection of local draft beers available. Every night they seem to have drink and food specials. Cons parking can be limited.

I would like to point out that the bottomless mimosas here come by the pitcher, not the glass. Staff is super friendly and they have a stash of boardgames to bee you entertained all day.

I’m still puzzled as to when this part of town became«West Midtown» and not just the«Westside.» Look, I like the food here, and the service was solid. Though my friend said her grilled cheese sandwich left something to be desired, I found the chicken pesto pasta to be delicious. The onion rings are competition worthy. So is the Guinness Chocolate Pie. And the buffalo sauce is just right. Separate checks always make me very happy. The food & service portion alone warrants four stars. Plus, there are pool tables. But you know that moment when you meet a pretty woman? And you’re giving each other THEEYE? And you think, «I need to talk to this one.» So you muster up some courage to go talk to her? And then she lights up a cigarette as you approach? And then it’s all you can do to gracefully excuse yourself(do an immediate about-face) and go outside to retch in the bushes and sit crying by your old Volvo for a little while before driving home alone and despondent? Yeah. That. I know they’re operating within the confines of the law, doing the whole«eighteen and over» thing after the appointed hour. But having folks whip out their tobacco is just an immediate turn off. I support their freedom of choice. Yet I will always choose not to hang out in smoky environments. They hurt me in ways I will not detail in this review. I guess I’ll have to limit my time here to lunch.
