Absolutely wonderful show. We were starving and didn’t stay for the second half but it was really good. We are definitely going to add it to our date night list. You won’t be disappointed

I’ve been to Whole World Improv Theatre twice during trips to visit family in the Atlanta area. First was in Dec 2013. We enjoyed the show so much that on my next trip to the area, I had to go back. My most recent visit was this past Thursday, March 17. Both visits were on Thursday nights, which happens to be Ladies Night, free for ladies arriving before 7:30pm, $ 10 for gentlemen. Get there early to get a low ticket number(lowest numbers get to pick their seats first). While waiting for the doors to open, enjoy a drink from the bar(ample beer and wine selections available) and relax on one of the many couches. Once doors open, you’ll be welcomed by the house manager and invited to pick a seat from couches, folding chairs, or traditional theater seats. The theater is set up so there isn’t a bad seat in the house and the stage can be seen from every angle. The show begins with an introduction of the actors and stage crew then continues with a warm up of the crowd. It’s no time to be shy and get ready to yell out your suggestions, this show is very interactive! The actors will have you laughing so hard, you’ll have tears in your eyes. The show itself runs about 2 hours with a 10 minute intermission, which is a great time to use the restroom and stop by the bar. After the show, join the actors in the café for a meet and greet. If you are interested in getting into improv, this is a nice opportunity to find out how others got into it. A show is a great date night, so grab your best guy or gal and head on down Whole World Improv Theatre for a fantastic night out!

What a fun way to spend an evening. I have now been back to this comedy club several times and it’s the best Improv I’ve been to. I always leave laughing and talking about the funny scenes these talented comedians come up with! It’s a great way to welcome out of town guests! If you haven’t been, try it out! You won’t leave disappointed and you will absolutely have a good laugh!

I’ve been to WWT many times over the years, and they’ve never let me down. The shows range from funny to can’t-catch-my-breath hysterical.

I love improvisation and have seen it all over the country. I have been to several of the shows at Whole World Improv Theatre and have a blast every time. These improvisers consistently hit home runs. I love the energy coming off the stage. Also, the theatre is designed well creating great comfort and there is not a bad seat in the house.

Love the crew and impromptu! Cast mainstays and fresh faces keep the comedy flowing. Anytime my husband and I need an infusion of humor that doesn’t come from our respective professions, we make sure to book it for date night! When you get there, you just may get asked certain questions by ancillary staff ranging from types of languages used or TV characters from a certain time period. Jog your mind! Once inside, it’s go time! The cast will first roam into the crowd, introducing themselves. Next, they ask the audience questions to help set up all the scenarios. It’s a funny place ! A good date night destination or when friends/family visit. Only caveat: Parking. Parking at an charged adjacent location will have creepy people wanting to «help» you park. Be ready to tip if you want to get rid of that person. Better place to park is another area defined as a charged parking space is located diagonally to the left when the entry point of WWIT is behind you. Park there and pay the money.

I have been going to Whole World Theatre for the past 20 years and it has never been a disappointment. I’ve gone on dates there, brought large groups there for birthday parties or other special occasions, I’ve attended their holiday shows… everything has always been excellent. This group goes out of their way to make sure every show is one to remember. You can tell that they have worked together for a long time. You do not have to worry about getting randomly called up on stage or anything embarrassing happening unless you drink to much and do it to yourself. And even when this happens it’s funny but the person isn’t teased endlessly, they keep the show moving along. If you like improv while drinking beer/wine this is the best place in town.

LOVE this place, I hurt by the end of the night from laughing so hard. It’s a smaller venue, which I appreciate, because they get the audience involved. Free parking, good beer and wine.

Always have a great time at whole world. The cast always does a wonderful job and provides lot of laughs. Comfortable seating, and not a bad seat in the house. This is a great spot for birthdays, girls nights, date nights or just a fun night out with friends. Grab a bit to eat beforehand, get there early to grab drinks and get a good seat and you are guaranteed a good night. Good prices for tickets and drinks as well!

I have been going since 2008, and have actually never gone to a weekend show. While I plan to rectify that soon, I have to say that the Thursday night shows are stellar. My average attendance record is 2 – 3 times a year, and every time my friends and I go we talk about it for weeks after. The atmosphere is aesthetic, artsy, intimate, relaxing, and a bunch of other fun adjectives. I can feel the stress of the day melt away as soon as I step inside, and it’s such a rush to hear the drums summon the cast onstage! Beer and wine are decently priced, the stage managers and bar staff are friendly, they have great deals and specials throughout the week and seriously, my end of the year resolution is to make it to either a weekend show or a special event. I LOVEWHOLEWORLDIMPROVTHEATRE!!!

So visiting from Chicago where I grew up my entire life, I decided to try something different for my trip to Georgia. I like to consider myself a very comedic type individual so we opted for the improv to spend our evening. This place was amazing. I love small building with the décor that gives you that not so Hollywood feel. It gives a more intimate approach to the stage and the performers. I didn’t know what to really expect but this place blew me away. I was laughing hysterically from start to finish. The small theatre was very intimate and you were really up close and personal with the entire show. All the performers were amazing. The ticket price was very affordable considering buying 2 shots at any bar was about the same price. I enjoyed my visit and the show was hysterical. If you have never seen improv, you need to go. This place deserves all the stars I gave them.

I visited Whole World on a Saturday night for the Award Winning Improv show. I really enjoyed myself and would visit again. I plan to come on a Thursday night next visit. I really appreciate a venue with such a user friendly website. All the questions I had were answered on their site.
When we arrived we were around 15 minutes late, but were friendly greeted by a person at the door. Inside, there was a bar and mingling area. After a few minutes we were shown to our seats in the front row. There were even couches to sit on. The show was for adult audiences and I got a free koozie for a suggestion! The only things I didn’t like was the need for a host, the constant reminder that WWI is nonprofit and stereotyping of race/ethnicity during a few of the sets, but it’s my opinion. Everyone had a great time, the cast was diverse and overall I would return.

I have seen quite a bit of live theatre in my days, both scripted and improv, and this place is really about as good as it gets. I have seen several shows at WWIT and I have always been pleased. Sure, some nights will be better than other(the audience can often have a lot to do with that) but as a general rule you’re going to have a great time and laugh your backside off. There’s usually live musical accompaniment that adds another great layer to the scenes/games. The energy is always upbeat and positive. Its definitely my go-to place for improv in Atlanta! To be clear, what they do here is short-form improv. Some reviewers have referred to as sketch comedy and, though somewhat similar, it is not the same thing. Misc Stuff: There is a bar with a nice selection of beers and wines and all are very fairly priced(especially for a city like Atlanta). There is also a lounge area where you can chill and drink before and after the show. There’s plenty of parking in a large gravel lot behind the theatre.

What a fun place to go! I came here years ago, and really liked it, but just never frequented it once I moved further North. We arrived early, and sat on a couch and grabbed some wine from the bar. They also serve beer. A couple of their staff walked over to ask us some questions to be used later in the skits. They also had a bowl filled with answers from the audience on what was the most interesting thing that’s happened to them, and then they used it in a skit, so it’s fun to hear something personal being told in a completely different light. Improv is exactly that: the cast will spontaneously act based on what the host tells them to do. The host sets the stage and then asks the audience for suggestions. For example, one skit was a next door neighbor coming over to find out something that neighbor had done. The audience chose cutting down her tree, so the skit went from there. The seating is composed of chairs and couches. We opted for the couch. Getting there early helps with selecting your seats once inside the theater. The cast for the 8 o’clock was really terrific. They did different accents, different costumes, and kept us entertained for about 2 hours, with a 15 minute intermission. There is a 10:30 show after that you can stay for and pay less for the tickets. They offer shows Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The theater is a non profit, which I felt really good about supporting. The cast is talented, and it’s a fun way to spend an evening. Check it out!

So my honey and I came here to top off our day in Atlanta. Got there very early and got confused on where to find parking but nothing disastrous. Got in, ordered some drinks at the bar and started a tab. The waiting area was comfy with a few couches and a tv that was playing a matrix movie. The music was really good too. I will say the flooring of the lobby will make you dizzy. They had us answer a few questions to help them with improv skits and also asked us to wrote down an interesting story about us. Doors opened and we took our seat on a couch inside the theater. Benefits of getting there early is picking your seat early. They allow people in based on their ticket numbers(1 – 10 first), so highly recommend getting there early. Loved the setup as everything was close and intimate. The DJ did a great job of keeping everybody in check. The actors, minus one, were very funny. Loved the book skit, repeat improv, and the song portion. Actually, everything was damn funny. I was laughing hard on at least one portion of every skit. My honey and I were talking about some of the scenes the next day and laughing still. Improv is, hands down, much more hilarious than stand up. These guys/girls are witty and can say the most hilarious things right on the spot. We’ll be back for sure! They even extended a special offer for people that wanted to stay for late show.

I had a blast at Whole World Improv. I want to do it!!! That’s my field. Yes, it’s improv like«Whose Line Is It Anyway». It’s a great event and I need to go to another soon. The venue is nice and relaxing with couches, chairs, and nice temperature The crowd, host, and acts are fun.

I may have been a little rough about whole world theater last time, the performance I went to yesterday(Friday) was very funny. You will clearly notice that this is a popular date spot, but no worries, you probably won’t feel left out either way. They have also fixed a few things that I really hated, such as removing the silly video intro and making the temperature warmer inside the theater room. The music volume is still ridiculously loud, I felt almost deaf after hearing it. Overall, I’d say this is a good date spot for a 3rd or maybe even 4th date, any earlier and it would be risky as performances can be hit or miss, afterall, it’s improv! I suggest coming there early(30 min before) and they will ask for some suggestions for the show while you sit around. It’s a great way to make the show tailored to you and your group.

Great place for tons of laughs! Parking was easy, a ½ block down the street — $ 3. Checked in and you basically hang out in the bar/lounge areas until they open the doors about 10 mins before the show starts. They seat you and tell you where to go, and we were lucky to be seated at the bottom near the stage(in front of the DJ which was a bit of an obstructed view, but it was fine). The show starts and they introduce the actors/actresses and start the show. They ask the audience before every scene on ideas and you just shout out your ideas to them and he writes them down for use later during the skit. They also give a 10 min intermission. Overall it was a great show and a great place to laugh like crazy, I even had tears coming down my eyes at one point — it was so hilarious! I will definitely want to visit again soon!

Absolutely fabulous way to spend an evening. I laughed until it hurt! The theater is really nice and clean. I’m deducting one star because they desperately need an extra bartender(or 2). The parking situation seemed to be fine and we arrived 20 minutes before show. The staff is fantastic and helpful. I intend to support this non-profit theater more often!
