Wingate By Wyndham

Stayed here for 2 nights, the facility and staff are awesome! The room was very clean and it had hardwood flooring, I felt very cozy here and welcomed by the staff. Highly Recommend!

I stayed at the hotel for a work function a few weeks ago. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I especially enjoyed talking with the shuttle drivers who could be considered as Bulkhead Ambassadors/​Tour guides. I give them 4 stars for service!
The low rating is due to quality of the guest rooms, which were outdated. The bathroom in first room I was given was disgusting. There were rust stains in the middle of the tub and appeared to be mold or bacteria on the shelf in the shower. Thankfully, I was promptly given a new room which faced Piedmont Road. I did not notice sounds of outside traffic. While there is an AC/​heating unit in each room, the one in my room alternated between warm air and cool air, regardless of the temp setting. The location is nice & the area is beautiful but I don’t recommend staying here.

I recently stayed at Wingate by Wyndham. I was initially disappointed that all of the «better» hotels were booked, but I’m really glad that they were; my stay at the Wyndham was wonderful.
Highlights:
— Great staff– everyone was friendly and helpful, from the front desk staff to the delightful man who made my omelettes every morning
— Free hot breakfast
— My room was huge! Separate living room, small kitchen, jetted tub, and a big king bed. Everything was clean and comfortable
— Free shuttle that will take you around town within 3 miles. This was especially helpful
Next time I’m in town for business I’ll skip the big chains and head straight to the Wingate!

When I travel I don’t require a lot of frills, but what I do like are full breakfast, free wifi, and free parking. This hotel not on, y had all of that but it was a great price and ranked number 6 of 191 atlanta hotels on trip advisor. I was skeptical but I needn’t have been. This hotel delivered! From the pleasant hotel front desk staff to the clean rooms and comfy beds. Breakfast was perfect, omelets cooked to order, roasted potatoes, bacon, sausage, cereals got and cold, and pastries and fruit… did I mention bacon? But the best part was the cappuccino machine… LOVED IT! Breakfast was served from 6 to 10am. It was walking distance to several places to eat including Tin Lizzys and the Gallery Café. If traveling in Atlanta again I will definitely stay here.

Marquis at the front desk is delightful. Very pleasant, the ultimate welcome and full of great suggestions for highlights in the area.
Clean rooms, pleasant atmosphere and super accommodating. The bartender was happy to offer me wine glasses & a frosted glass for the «in-​room» beverages. Ample parking and overall great stay.

There are four things that I look for from now on when booking a hotel– convenient & safe location, cleanliness, amenities, & good Unilocal reviews. I was in Atlanta this past weekend for my brother’s fiancé bachelorette party. The other bridesmaids chose to stay at another replicable hotel but I chose to book with Wingate for the free parking, wi-​fi, breakfast, and shuttle service within a 3.0 mile radius. I checked-​in with Marie, who was pleasant, friendly, and made check-​in a breeze. The room was a bit worn, however; thoroughly cleaned and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable with a nice flat screen television perfectly positioned in front of the bed. The microwave, refrigerator, and safe are excellent additions to any hotel room. Also The hot breakfast OMG was amazing!
This hotel is not as fancy and as the other hotels in the area but it has reasonable rates with quality service. I definitely enjoyed my stay and will return in the near future.
