Fun place to hang with friends, catch a game and good drinks but please cut out the smoking!

Love everything about this place. Great service, food and drinks and most of the customers are friendly. Not pretentious at all. Though I wish it was non-smoking.

Laid back bar with a friendly non pretentious atmosphere. So may gay bars in the ATL have a judgemental feel to them. Woofs is a come as you are neighborhood joint. Everyone talks to you as if you are a regular and even this 130 pound boy feels comfortable in this Bear Den. Want to have a relaxing drink with friends, woofs is where it’s at!

This is not a dog supply store — it’s a gay bar. Not that I’m gay, nor is there anything wrong with it.. .(jerry seinfeld) Of the gay bars I’ve been to in North America, this is probably the most boring. Of course it fills a niche, I suppose. TV’s with sports on. Whoopee.

I moved to the ATL from NYC last May. In NYC, my favorite bar was the Gym Sports bar. I almost feel that this is the southern version of my most favorite bar. The bartenders without question are the best! My drink is always made perfectly! The prices are very reasonable for the drinks they make. the food? It is really good bar food. They have the best tater tots anywhere! This is now my «home» bar, somewhere where I can relax and unwind. No pretensions here! This is also a place that i feel comfortable with taking my str8 friends to, they always have a great time. Thanks to Dan and crew for the great job they do. Cheers!

Good wings and large selection of beer, great location and plenty of parking. Items on menu are inexpensive. This is a lgbt leather bar so be sure you are cool with that before you go in, because it’s like going into rainbow-land.

We walked into the bar shortly after 1AM, waited five minutes for a drink, and was told by one of the bartenders(he was talking on the phone) that he would be with us in a minute. He later sent a bar back over to serve us, whereupon the bar back handed us a $ 22 tab, when we hadn’t even been served. I don’t know what their drinks taste like, but that bar tab was pretty sour. I would recommend perhaps that their servers pay a little more attention to the customers. It’s really not acceptable to be handed a bill when you haven’t even been served a drink in the first place. It’s not like they were overwhelmed — there was only one other person seated at the bar. This is not my first bad experience with this bar but I can assure you that now it will be my last.

Normally I do not complain that much about bad experiences at restaurants or bars. This is an exception to that rule. We had a late lunch at Woofs on Saturday, and it was awful. The food was all burned. The bartender never checked on us. I had to refill my own coke, the dude who delivered the food literally dropped the plates on the table and walked off. After eating, we waited 15 minutes for the check while the bartender ignored us. When we asked for a manager, he said, «I am the manager.» Needless to say, we will not be back any time soon.

This is the BEST place for a GREAT drink at a good price! I LOVE this place!!! My co workers and I use to come here every night after getting off of work from Longhorn Steakhouse across the street back in 2005. The bartenders were always friendly and accommodating to our group. The drinks ALWAYS tasted delicious and strong without being overbearing. Fast forward to now, 2014, and the drinks are still made PERFECTLY, the prices are still RIGHT and the Bartenders are still EXCEPTIONAL and FRIENDLY. Almost 10 years later and they have remained consistent. I can’t even say that about my old job. THEYARETHEBEST!!! You’ll love them! **SIDENOTE: Even though this is a male gay bar, they are very friendly and welcoming to the straights and females. Don’t hesitate to come here if you aren’t gay because you will be treated well unlike some establishments.

Love this gay sports bar. It’s one of my favorites to go to when we get to town. It does get awfully smokey in here so be prepared. I don’t mind the second hand smoke. Actually makes me crave a cig. People get rowdy here. Especially if you got a popular game on. Came in tonight to see a lot of college basketball games on the TVs but no Olympic sports on at all. As a matter of fact nobody was watching any of the games. Still one my favorite places if I only lived here.

Went to Woofs With 8 friends to watch the Rose Bowl on Jan 12014. The«SPORTS» bar did not have the sound on for the game. They had pop music playing. Really !!! We left and went to another bar which had the sound on. On Jan 3, The eight of us went to another bar instead of trying Woofs, Did not want to «guess» if they had the sound on for the Orange Bowl. To the people running the bar … Major sporting events deserve the sound on

I’m a lesbian who just moved to Atlanta with my wife, and I really like this place. We live nearby and were so excited that there was a gay bar near us. We knew it was targeted towards gay men, and that it was a sports bar, but oh well. It’s still a gay bar right down the street. Hurray! Still, we didn’t know how friendly it would be and were pleasantly surprised at how welcomed we were. I wish SO much that I could remember the bartender’s name who served us, because he was the nicest guy! I think his name was Scotty. We were two of about 6 women in the entire bar, but it just didn’t matter much. There were lots of games on. I’m not into sports, but everyone there sure was, and they were having a great time. I think some of the games on were a big deal, but we had no idea. It was fun how into it everyone was. We sat at the bar, talked with Scotty, got good beers(including Scotty giving my wife a taste of the the Sweetwater 420, because remember, we’re new to Atlanta). It was just an overall great experience. They have a pool table so on another day not as filled with important football games, I could see coming back to play pool. Also, you can smoke in there(not sure yet if that’s typical in Atlanta or not), which is kind of gross for me, but oh well. It’s not like the place is a giant cloud of smoke, so that’s good. I’d recommend this place for sure!

It’s an OK pub. I love the trivia nights and all the TVs. Most of the guys have an attitude, though(maybe you’re into that). Their food is really good but NOTAFTER10PM, so plan accordingly. The bartenders will bark at you(not in a good way) if you mistakenly try to order eats after 10. Not as friendly as some comparable pubs in the city. Good bar if you are a bear or an admirer. I think anyone should be able to smoke in any bar, but Woofs needs to get a smoke-eater machine.

First off, gotta give a shout out to our bartender Jimmy!!! Jimmy was the absolute best!!! Now let’s talk about this place! Lesbian friendly but overall I think they are just people friendly… just think about a gay version of Cheers and this is Woofs. The place was chill, the music rocked and they had about every single sport available to watch on one of their many tvs. Oh yeah did I mention that Jimmy was great??? Definitely a place to go to have a drink, watch some games or even meet some new friends.

Woofs is your standard bear bar, but with grub! Good, friendly bartenders. Food that’s a blend of Sysco-style reheated/deep-fried stuff and homemade. The ample seating helps, too. If only they had a patio, or better venting for the smoke; I hate coming home smelling like a bar, but it doesn’t keep me away. I look forward to eating when I go to Woofs, and some particularly tasty treats include jalapeño poppers, homemade potato chips and various nachos made out of ‘em, the toasted pimento cheese sandwich, and the smothered tater tots. People tell me the burgers are good, too. Portions, as others mention, are large-ish, and the service fast.
