World of Coca-Cola

Who knew a soft drink museum could be fun? I’ve been to their Coca-​Cola store in Las Vegas, but it’s nothing compared to this place!
The staff are so kind and so friendly. Great job!!! They also had a great sense of humor. We managed to go through all the exhibits. It was nice to learn about the history. I loved watching all the commercials too! (I wish those couches were more comfortable though… but I don’t blame them. If they were, I’d probably take a nap in there.) The tasting room was a little chaotic. I can’t imagine when it gets really busy! They were also really good about cleaning up the stations so people don’t slip and the floors don’t get sticky.
Although the museum is not that big, it was well worth the admission price. I can’t wait to bring my sister here!

DAS MUSS IN ATLANTA!!!
Wer in Atlanta ist und nicht in die World of Coca-​Cola geht — der macht den größten Fehler überhaupt.
Coke — das Kultgetränk überhaupt — hat in Atlanta seinen Ursprung. Seit 1886 gibt es Coca-​Cola bereits — ursprünglich als Medizin gegen Kopfschmerzen von einem Apotheker entwickelt.
Schon das Gelände rund um das Museum ist total cool gestaltet. Man befindet sich im Coca-​Cola Land.
Im Eingangsbereich sind verschiedene Stücke aus den Ländern der Welt ausgestellt. Um in das Museum zu gehen, wartet man vor einer großen Tür, durch die man in Gruppen gelassen wird. Anschließend wird man in nächsten Raum begrüßt und in ein Kino weitergeleitet. Der kurze Film, der hier abgespielt wird, existiert nur hier und geht unter die Haut. Mir sind am Ende sogar Tränen vor Emotion aus den Augen gekullert. Das kann Coke — Emotionen hervorrufen.
Weiter geht es dann durch die Geschichte der Coca-​Cola. Wie sich das weltweit bekannte Getränk entwickelt hat bis hin zum Tresor in dem sich (angeblich) die geheime Rezeptur der Coke befindet. Alles super inszeniert.
Der Abschluss der Tour durch das Museum ist die Tasting World. Hier kann man sich durch die zahlreichen Varianten der Produkte auf der ganzen Welt kosten. Der Boden klebt und die Luft ist zuckersüß. Hach wie wundervoll. Beim besten Willen schafft man jedoch nicht jede Geschmackssorte. Irgendwann hebt der Körper die Hände ;-)
Um zum Ausgang zu gelangen, geht man durch den großen Shop an Werbeartikeln. Es gibt einfach nichts, was es nicht gibt. Vom T-​Shirt über Ohrringe bis hin zum Hundenapf. ALLES!
Ein MUSS — ich kann es nur immer wieder sagen!

A neat place to visit, but not for the pice of admission unless you REALLY like Coca Cola. If you don’t then it’s REALLY not worth the full price of admission.
Cool parts: you start and end with a free Coke, SOME of the staff are unnervingly enthusiastic about the Coca Cola life, there’s a good amount of interactive and engaging technology throughout, and you get to sample a ton of Coke products from around the world at the end.
The best part: the gift shop. Not because I have an obsessive love for cola related knick knacks, but because everyone is loaded with caffeine once they step inside. People’s enthusiasm for everyday objects embroidered with Coca Cola is comically at an all time high at that point. Bonus when it’s full of MEGA HYPER children begging their parents for overpriced red and white nonsense.

I was a little skeptical coming here but I gotta say I really enjoyed it, learned a thing about the birth of Coca Cola and its original inventor. Also when you come in you get a free Coke which i found was pretty cool! After that we took a picture with the polar bear which my daughter got a kick out of. Soon after we had a nice and quick preview of Coke along with a video that while theme was happiness it did bring a tear down my eye. My overall experience was great! Highly recommend it, lastly I did try the many tastes of Coca Cola around the world and I gotta say the Italy version «Beverly» was pretty darn awful! Lol! It’s a mix of carbonated soda with a kick of a sour grapefruit it was awful but at least we got to try it.
Overall the place was awesome!

I went into the World of Coca-​Cola with high hopes because I had heard good things about it, and I walked out a Pepsi man. I was very unimpressed overall. There are two VERY cheesy «movies», which are nothing but long Coke commercials, and the «secret formula» thing is way over-​played. I found myself walking quickly past most exhibits, and unless you live and breathe Coca-​Cola, I think that you will find yourself doing the same.
The only reason I gave this two stars instead of one is because I did really enjoy the tasting room, where you can try something like 100 different types of Coke from around the world. That was very cool, and made it so this wasn’t a total waste of time.
It just kind of felt like I was paying money to see a giant advertisement for Coca-​Cola. If you have the City Pass and it is included anyways it might be worth your time to stop by. But I wouldn’t ever recommend to a friend to pay full price for this.

This is pretty much the worst place on the planet. The experience starts with an offensive architectural display to Coke, complete with $ 16 per person tickets and annoying sounds of coke bottles opening… to create an experience. The line to get in was extremely long due to a bad movie they play.
Upon entering, you are ushered into a small auditorium where a guy tries to ask where everyone is from, so you have to endure everyone trying to get their «me» time. The experience is meant to show that Coke is something we have in common with one another no matter our background. The memorabilia in this room is kind of interesting, albeit dusty and clearly not well cleaned or maintained. The best of this is located in the glass case at the front of the space.
After introducing everyone, the emmcee tells you about the facility and ushers you into the next room, a movie theater for a terrible movie.
The movie is six minutes of happy experiences. At this point it feels like you’re being brainwashed as you watch random people over-​reacting to everyday life events, such as skydiving or getting married or being with friends. At first there isn’t even a mention of Coke, but by the end they just can’t help themselves and show a few Coke labels.
You exit the theater underneath the screen to experience the rest of this ripoff, brandwash adventure. This includes a 4D movie (a bad video where your seats vibrate), piles of coke merchandise, taking photographs with a weird giant polar bear costumed guy who does strange stuff like acting as though he will bite people (get ready for a long line on this one), and of course the highlight of the experience: the tasting room.
The tasting room is interesting, but disgustingly dirty. People manage to fight over who can get to the various soft drinks. There are essentially four options: USA, South America, Asia, and Africa. Each has about 8 drinks. You get a cup and sample them. Most of them are disgusting, some interesting, and many you already know.
After you feel terrible from drinking too much sugar, you can exit to the gift shop where they give you a bottle of coke labelled with the World of Coca-​Cola stamp so you can commemorate your visit.
You exit into a store where you can buy junk from Coke. Like, this is serious junk. You walk around and think, «Huh, there may be something here…» but no, there is nothing useful in the entire place. Nothing. Just leave and reflect on your waste of money going to this miserable advertisement for the biggest advertiser in the world.

The World of Coca-​Cola is a museum that tells the history of the well-​known soft drink, that is enjoyed around the world, for over a century now. Located in the same area, across from Centennial Olympic Park, and near the Georgia Aquarium and CNN Center.
After going through security and the atrium, it starts off with a guide giving an extended background on the origin of Coke, followed by a short 3-​D film. It’s like an extended animated commercial made by Pixar. Afterward, you enter the museum.
The museum has exhibitions on the beginnings of Coke and the various ads over the years. There is a theater where you can watch a short film on how Coke was impacted by pop culture and various Coke commercials from around the world.
There is also a 4-​D flight simulation ride, very much like what you would see at Epcot. It was mainly about finding the secret formula of Coke, which is a well guarded secret. It’s an interactive exhibition where you get sprayed with water and get poked in the back.
My favorite room is the one where you can try various Coke products from around the world. Each soda tower is designated by continent. Some are good, some were horrible, and some had no taste at all. Also, you can try different types of Coke, like cherry, lime, and vanilla. There’s a conveyor belt where everyone gets to take a small bottle of Coke with them.
If this is your first time visiting Atlanta, this place is definitely worth checking out. We went in the summer, and it was our way of staying cool and refreshed. Plus, you get to try free sodas and buy Coke souvenirs!

As a local to Atlanta I love to visit this place. It’s cool to see the history of an iconic product that was made in Georgia. Sometimes there are lines. Just like anywhere else you can bypass some of those lines by buying your tickets online.
It’s always very clean. The shows are geared towards all ages
The staff has always been very nice. I have never had a problem there.
They also give you a pretty cool memento as the tour is winding up.
Don’t try to take any weapons inside (pocket knives included). They will confiscate and give back at the end of the tour.
We use this place when friends come into town who have never been here before.

Honest Review — Highs and Lows
The security was absolutely terrible. When you enter you have to go through a metal detector and pass your phone, bags, and wallets through. The security guards have no care for your phone and drop it into your bag instead of handing it to you or letting you pick it up. They also tried to shove my moms expensive camera into her backpack. My mom stopped her, but was appalled by the lack of respect for people’s personal property. Also I had in my backpack a beats hard case. The hard case was never opened or even looked at which is scary to me. The last point of the security checkpoint that made me mad was the metal detector made a strange noise when I went through it. I questioned if it was my belt that may have triggered the sound and she just waved me through. I was okay with it, but felt like they really did a bad job at making sure everyone was weapon free.
The Bad:
It’s pretty cheesy to be completely honest. The 4-​D movie was really a waste of time as well as «The Vault».
The Good:
I enjoyed the Taste Testing Room, and the museum of old Coke products and promotions. It has a ton of antiques that I was interested in as a young adult but due to it being packed I was unable to read in depth about the antiques. The tasting room has 5 Continents worth of pop to choose from. As you walk around the extremely sticky floor, you can test pops only sold in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. It was kind of fun but the floor and people pushing for free pop I could deal without. I felt rushed by the other people visiting but still enjoyed trying pops from around the world.
Overall, you only need to do this once. It’s a tourist trap. It has things for the kids like «The Vault» and «4-​D movie», things for the adults like «Taste Testing» and all the history. It’s a bit pricy, but took a few hours to do it all so it wasn’t too bad. Plus the more Coke you drink, it feels like you are paying less to get in? That’s how I thought of it at least. I would go again in maybe a decade or so when they decide to redo exhibits but until they do that I’m satisfied with what I experienced.

Tons of fun for the whole family.
We came here on New Years Day and spent the better part of the day. Luckily we got here early enough and there was no line because by time we left the line had over 300 people in it. This would have drove me crazy.
All the rooms and exhibits were fun and neat to explore.
When you go into the vault be warned there is no exit in the case of an emergency and you are stuck until it is your turn to go I to the last room and exit. Reason I mention this is a young girl became sick in our group and she ended up throwing up in a corner as the employees told her there was nothing they could do. I feel sorry for whoever she was and for the employees that had to clean up the mess.
The 4D ride is wild. I don’t recommend it if you have back issues. The jolts are a little much and I was a little surprised at it.
The best part is probably the tasting room. It gets super crowded but you get a cup and are able to try all sorts of different coke products from around the world. They are all grouped by country and some are really good. Be sure to go to the counter and try the seasonal flavor. Because it was Christmas this was gingerbread and it was really good.
Lastly go into the coke shop and grab a real glass bottled coke as your parting gift. Great way to spend the day

Fantastic! If you are a fan of Coca-​Cola products you really need to visit here. I think the people complaining about it aren’t fans. It’s a good value for the money. I spent 3 ½ hours here.
It starts out with a movie about happiness that made me cry, could cry though. After the movie its self guided so you can go to the areas that are least crowded I didn’t find it crowded anywhere.
Normally, I like 3-​D and 4D movies the chairs in that movie very jerky. My neck and after like the first two minutes so I left. I wouldn’t recommend the movie.
What I would recommend is sitting in the theater with commercials forever. The same ones don’t run over and over, they are new for a long time. I love Coke commercials. There are animation, international, sports, love, the themes are endless.
Stop in and enjoy a Coke and a smile. As a fan of Coca-​Cola, you won’t regret it.

The VIP tour is super duper über amazeballs! I do not want to post any spoliers but it is so amazing that one man’s dream has made a global impact. It is so inspirational! You learn a lot about the inner workings of the company and the secret formula is just yards away!

We weren’t planning to come here, but after visiting the aquarium we decided to check it out. The execution of the museum is great. I don’t drink pop and I’m not particularly into anything Coca-​Cola. but this was still a cool experience for me.
The theme and experience are on par with something Disney would create. The inside of the building was colorful and well designed. I enjoyed all of the parts of the story of how Coca Cola came to be and is created. The final stop at the tasting room was interesting and tasty. It’s fascinating to taste all of the flavors and especially the flavors that are made for other countries. Even the shop at the end was fun to check out and offered some cool souvenirs.

I’ll give it credit for being memorable.
This attraction is a colossal shrine celebrating the triumph of emotion and marketing over reason. It’s exploitative videos of servicemen returning to their tearful families, a whitewashed walk through the company’s history, and photos with company mascots.
It would be absurd to ask Coke to offer exhibits highlighting child nutrition issues or the right to clean water or the diabetes epidemic. But I don’t think it would ask too much for them to dial back the hubris a bit or mix in an ounce of actual history or science into this mega-​attraction.
Coke is an amazing company with an amazing history. But the «World of Coca-​Cola» was a massive waste of my time and money.

We went at 5pm which is the last session they let through so it was only my group and one other person. Since we were there so late, it was great we had no lines. You start off in a room with a lot of things from Coca Cola past. You try to match what’s on the TV with the artifact around the room. The person that was helping us was super cool and nice.
Next, we go to the larger main room that attaches to the different exhibits. We took pics with the polar bear from Coke. But it looks really creepy to be honest. I think it’s the red eyes.
The different rooms have tons of artifacts. But one thing I’m sad that wasn’t touched upon was the Coke original recipe rumor of real coke (the drug). It was still cool though. There’s also a game you can play and a 4D movie. The 4D movie was extreme and kind of unnecessary but I’m sure kids love it.
We went to a tasting from around the world next of different Coca Cola products. Some were really awful and some were great. I loved the Korean juice one — it’s apple and lychee. However, we were rushed through because we knew that it closes at 7 but tasting closes at 6:30. Very unfortunate and annoying. I didn’t get to really try each one because I felt like I had to just go through it quickly.
The gift shop was cool though and everything was reasonably priced. This is definitely a must go.

It’s very, very gimicky… Aside from tasting all the different sodas, it was just an exhibit telling you the history of Coca Cola. It sounds really cool but I could summarize the museum in two sentences:
Pemberton was a pharamicist who founded Coca Cola. The recipe is kept in a vault and is kept very secret.
It’s not worth your $ 16+ so save your money! Plus, it’s like $ 10 for parking…

Entrée payante à 16 dollars où on fait la visite à sa rythme, on y est resté près de deux heures avec comme point final la dégustation de plus d’une centaine de boissons commercialisées dans le monde par Coca.
Visite indispensable pour les fans de la marque, à la sortie on nous remet une bouteille spéciale en cadeau et on peut aller dépenser nos dollars dans une grande boutique que j’ai trouvé un peu chère par rapport à celle de Las Vegas.

I really enjoyed this place. I’m a huge fan of Coke and tasting any other Cola doesn’t really give me that ahhhhhh sensation.
You start off with a guided tour and learn some pretty awesome history about Coca-​Cola. Once that’s over, you are pretty much on your own and that’s the best part. You can explore the facility at your own place and the best is saved for last. You get to try Coca-​Cola products from all over the world and they also give you a bottle of Coke and a baggy on the way out. Would be nice if it was cold though.

First, I will have to say that I don’t drink coke regularly and learning about the history of Coca Cola is not something I get excited for. Nevertheless, it is the tourist spot to visit and the entrance fee is not that expensive for such a place.
You will find interesting historical items from the past and get to learn about the history of Coca Cola and evolution of the company. It was interesting to see those antique items as well as international adoption of the Coca Cola bottles in different styles.
If you come here with kids, they will enjoy analog and digital interactive content. I was impressed with some virtual reality exploration of Coca Cola’s secret ingredients and such. It may not keep adults entertained too much, I was not particularly interested in the content that is just made up for fun.
At the end of the building, you will find this fountain of drinks where you can try different flavored drinks that were introduced in other countries and usually not available elsewhere. Most of them will start to taste like a sugar after awhile but it was still refreshing to see what kind of taste is popular in other countries.
Overall, this is a place you should check out especially if you are going to check out the aquarium built next to it. You won’t regret paying admission fee to visit this exhibit.

THE MAGIC OF COKE: What can I say? This place just makes me happy! I take all my out of town guests here as a first stop on their welcome to ATL tour (so I’ve visited now maybe ten times) and it’s always a hit. Tickets are about $ 17 but, to me, it’s well worth it and I’d probably pay a few bucks more because I get a guaranteed good feeling from each visit.
Sure, the world is coke is ideal for coke drinkers but I know for a fact that even non-​coke-​lovers enjoy it too. In fact, I’ve even taken non-​SODA-​lovers here and they couldn’t help but love it. That’s because the world of coke touches you on an emotional level and really brings you in. From the opening movie (I’ve seen two different ones now and they were both tear-​jerkers), to the nostalgic exhibits about the origins of the product, to the 4D movie, to the coke commercials from around the world! You can’t help but get caught up in the experience of it all and the FEELINGS they want you to feel… the happiness.
EXHIBITS: I enjoy all the exhibits but my favorite is the 4D movie. The seats move (but you can opt for non-​moving seats), you’re sprayed with water, you’re poked a couple times… it’s SO much fun!
I love the fact that they try to add new things to keep even regulars returning. For instance, the entire secret vault exhibit was not yet completed on my last visit but this time it was. The secret recipe is kept locked up tight here and there’s a neat little walkthrough complete with an interactive game, the ability to see yourself inside a bottle of coke and a short movie that’s shown in a 360 degree room. Pretty cool!
There’s also a commercial viewing room, an ‘origins of coke’ room, the bottling room where you get to see the entire wondrous process up close and a pop-​culture room where you learn the ins and outs of coke’s effect on our lives – no surprise, they make it seem like you wouldn’t even be ALIVE without this phenomenal beverage of the gods. ;0)
THE MAIN EVENT: Everyone loves the coke-​tasting room and I’m no exception. Think cornucopia or COKE-​ucopia of delicious (and some not so delicious) soft drink options from around the world! And the best part is, you can taste and taste until your heart’s content! This area can get pretty crowded and sometimes people are shoving and machine-​hogging fools but otherwise this room is pure GOLD and I spend most of my time here. When you’re done tasting and are probably ready to explode, you’re given a FREE bottle of coke as your parting gift before being shuttled into the gift shop.
The gift shop is AMAZING. You can get everything here from typical gift shop items (magnets, keychains, pens, t-​shirts) to really creative things like coke PJs or purses made out of coke cans, jewelry and SO much more. Of course it’s expensive as all get-​out but by that time you’re an emotional wreck after being inundated with all the wonders of coke throughout the day that you feel compelled to buy something. LOL.
It’s a fun time had by all. Go this weekend if you haven’t been before, you won’t regret it.

Also was einen in der World of Coca Cola erwartet war ja klar, aber für 15 $ Eintritt war das dann doch ein wenig zu wenig. Etwas über die Geschichte der braunen Brause und dann ein etwas irren Cartoon im Kin. Danach alles und wirklich Alles was es zu Cola gibt. Werbung, Werbung, Werbung pur. Klar die Fountains mit den verschiedenen Sorten der Getränke war schon witzig aber das reisst das Alles nicht raus.
Fazit für mich :
Das hätte ich mir sparen können.

Ich bin absolut kein Cola-​Trinker, aber an einem Regentag in Atlanta zog es uns doch ins World of Coca cola.
Der Eintritt war nicht ganz billig (sollte man vorher online machen, das spart dann immerhin einpaar Dollar).
Das ganze museum ist nett und kitschig verpackt.
Es gibt ein kleines Kino mit Film über die Entwicklung und eine witzige (schön für Kinder) 4D Vorstellung über das Geheimnis von Coca cola.
Highlight des ganzen Museums ist aber eindeutig die Verkostung aller 80 – 100 verschiedener Sorten von Coca Cola (so um den Dreh war die Zahl)!!!
Ich hab auch so ziemlich alles probiert, weil ichs einfach wissen wollte, ncihtwei les mir schmeckt. Ich glaube ich hatte hinterher einen absoluten Zuckerschock und mir war schlecht: D
Aber es war interessant. Für cola Fans definitiv spitzenklasse ;-)
Bevor man rausgeht bekommt jeder Besucher eine kleine Cola (in Glasflasche) zum mitnhemen als Geschenk.
Fazit: die Verkostung ist wirklich mal interesant, aber es ist eindeutig kein Muss auf der Sightseeingliste wenn man Atlanta besucht. Wer aber Lust & die Gelegenheit dazu hat, kann es gerne machen und wird sicher auch seinen Spass dran haben :)

Eine große Entäuschung und nur noch mehr Abzocke von Coca Cola!
Das es sich bei einer World of Coca Cola natürlich um eine Werbemaßnahme und Markenpresentation jener Marke handelt, war mir natürlich klar. Aber es wurde fast nichts über Produktionsschritte usw. gezeigt, was mich schon sehr enttäuscht hat.
Den Besuch der World of Coca Cola in Atlanta kann man sich meines Erachtens nach sparen und sollte das Geld lieber für etwas Sinnvolleres ausgeben!

Ich hab mir den Atlanta City Pass für $ 69 geholt und die World of Coca Cola war neben einer CNN Tour, dem Zoo dem High Museum oder dem Fernbank und dem Aquarium auch enthalten
Nach der CNN Tour bin ich dann zu Coca Cola rübergeschlendert und naja Also née Es ist zu bunt, es ist zu voll, was mich erstaunt hat, denn wirklich lehrreich ist es dort nicht. Im Prinzip ist es eine große Werbeveranstaltung, die man schnell satt hat nach 10 Minuten hab ich überlegt, ob ich nicht doch lieber in das gegenüberliegende Aquarium gehen soll
Ich muss sagen, dass ich mir das ganze eher als Tour vorgestellt habe, in der ich einem Guide folge, der mir dann was erzählt, aber nach einer kurzen Einführung und einem Film, dessen näherer Sinn sich mir in diesem Leben nicht mehr erschließen wird ist man dann auf sich allein gestellt und kann die World erkunden
Das beste war eigentlich das kostenlose WLAN ;-)
Kurz: Spart Euch das Geld und geht ins Aquarium

Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von der World of Coca-​Cola!!! Es wäre schön, etwas mehr über das Produkt und die Produktion selbst zu erfahren. Ausgestellt wurden hauptsächlich Werbemittel die der Konzern weltweit verwendet und das noch für 24 $ Eintritt pro Person.

Ein Konzern, der Milliardenumsätze macht, nimmt fast 20 $ Eintritt, damit der Verbraucher, der im die Umsätze beschert, seine Fabrik bewundern darf?! Geht gar nicht! Auch wenn die Besichtigung/​Ausstellung noch so interessant sein sollte, finde ich es meines Erachtens eine Frechheit, das gerade Coca Cola von seinen Konsumenten dafür Geld verlangt. Meine Empfehlung: Nicht hingehen! Und meine Empfehlung an Coca-​Cola: Nehmt Euch mal ein Beispiel an Ben&Jerries in Vermont oder an Jack Daniels in Tennessee, die beiden Konzerne kann man auch besichtigen und zwar ohne Eintritt!

In jedem Fall einen Ausflug wert!

die führung durch das coca cola museum ist schnell vorbei. am ende warten dann freie getränke aus aller welt. für manche sollte man aber unbedingt eine funktionierende bauchspeicheldrüse haben. und ein kino, in dem man sich werbungen und anderes marketingzeugs anschauen kann. es sind erstaunlich viele deutsche exponate zu sehen. und unsere guide sprach sogar deutsch. auch wenn das hier alles nur auf amerikanische besucher ausgelegt ist und ich fließend englisch, wie überall in den südweststaaten, nur empfehlen kann.
