Your Extra Attic

Your Extra Attic is owned by a husband and wife, Les and Lynn, both of whom are very helpful. The space was very clean, so much so that my movers even commented on how nice it was. Very easy to do business with and helpful as well. Highly recommended.

On Sunday, June 3, 2012, two friends and I returned a U-​Haul moving van to this Your Extra Attic location on Log Cabin Drive. We were told by U-​Haul that the Your Extra Attic would be closed on Sunday but that we were to leave the van’s keys in a drop-​box.
When we arrived at this Your Extra Attic location, a manager by the name of Les Sims was present. He gave me his business card.
When my friend entered the doorway to this business, Mr. Sims felt it appropriate to have a rifle sitting on a shelf immediately to the right of the doorway. The barrel of this weapon was sticking approximately six inches into the opening of the doorway. You had to very carefully maneuver around the barrel of this rifle so as to not knock it off the shelf. As you maneuvered around the gun, its barrel was approximately four inches away from your chest!
Also, Mr. Sims had my friend move the furniture pads from the truck to the business on a dolly. These pads were all neatly folded inside of the truck, and they were placed still folded onto the dolly. My friend moved the dolly and pads to the doorway of the business, at which time Mr. Sims took control of the dolly. Upon doing so, Mr. Sims dumped more than half of the furniture pads onto the sidewalk. When this entire episode was complete, Mr. Sims told my friend in an extremely rude manner that he was not going to charge us for the furniture pads not being folded, which he was responsible for dumping them onto the sidewalk in the first place.
I have spoken with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office regarding this incident along with the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection, the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, the Cobb County Police Department, the Cobb County Business License office, and the Better Business Bureau.
