This is a solid lunch option. I had the coleslaw/chili dog and it’s perfect. The dogs have terrific snap, signaling their quality. You won’t be disappointed

Great local hot dog joint. Loads of options to pull your dog high! The dog itself was crisp & full of flavor. Not he biggest dog you will ever eat, but in the top 10 in taste.

Yes, their veggie dogs are great – hints the 2 stars; however, how hard is it to find a great veggie/hot dog. The customer service is horrible. I will never eat there again(only ate there once before), so the second time was my last. I spoke to the manager in regards to how rude his employee was too me. He replied, «I will speak to him about it», which he probably won’t – I could tell by his facial expressions and plus, I saw the employee, from a distance, telling him about the situation… So, nope YumDiggity will not be getting my coins… Show respect to your customers… Signs, A Former customer

Inside the municipal market in the Auburn district of Atlanta lies a variety of eateries YUm Diggity is one of them. I was in the area for another event but as me doing me I went exploring on foot with my trusty cell in hand for pictures. I came in and saw this place and said«lets do this!» ordered the spicy chicken sausage dog with grilled onions and peepers. and fries, drink. Total came to almost $ 8.00 but it was worth it just for the dog. Fries are thin cut which i’m not a fan of but they were hot and crispy with a slight sprinkle of season salt. Service was good less than 5 mins and they keep the eating counter very clean. So many other great places in this market to eat but stop at Yum Diggity 1st.

Yum Diggity is more than hot dogs. They have solid good food at a reasonable price. Their sweet potato fries with the curry ketchup is so so so good. That’s something I can eat by itself those fries and maybe even the ketchup lol. Their dogs are huge and tasty but my favorite thing from them is the strawberry lemonade, the fries and the burger with chili. The owners are sweet and try to accommodate any allergies or special substitutions but it’s the fastest made to order burger in the market, and, by far the cheapest. I like this place and recommend it to someone looking for nice tasty street food fare with a twist.

The menu is very straight forward and the staff is always friendly. The market has a lot of places to choose from and I would def recommend trying this place. I had the chili dog with slaw– the chili was good and you could tell it was homemade, slaw hit the spot too. We also spilt the philly fries and they were great– made me want to try the philly next.

I had two dogs with chili and they were very good. They leave the skin on the dogs so they have a bit of an extra crunch to them. I would definitely return here for lunch.

Superb hot dogs and I am from Chicago. They have a variety of different meat options and every time I go there I always end up just going with a classic all beef. It’s so good that even though all the other options sound good I end up choosing beef, one day I’ll choose something different. Anyway, a hot dog plus sweet potato fries makes an excellent lunch in the heart of the bustling Sweet Auburn Market.

YumDiggity is a gourmet hot dog stand located inside the Sweet Auburn Curb Market in downtown Atlanta. Since it’s at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, it’s only open during the day and with limited hours to boot(Mon-Sat, 11am-4pm). If you’re ever at the market, I recommend these guys because, unlike some of the other eateries(e.g. Bell Street Burritos, Grindhouse Killer Burgers), you can’t find them anywhere else. This is their only location. These hot dogs are on a different level because of the ingredients used. All of the sausages are handmade from all-natural meats(beef, chicken) with no fillers or artificial additives. Veggies dogs are available. That said, expect to spend more here than you would for a typical hot dog. One hot dog runs about $ 5.00. Combos(hot dog, side, and drink) range from $ 6.25 to $ 8.25. Most toppings come at an additional price. The hot dogs are delicious and the ingredients are fresh. Unfortunately, they’ve been out of the German bratwurst the times I’ve visited, but I have had a chance to try their all-beef frank and their spicy Italian sausage. You can really taste a difference in the freshness and quality of the sausages — they’re just bursting with flavor. The Italian sausage is packed with I don’t know how many spices and it’s evident in taste, texture, and by looking at a cross-section of the frank. The sausages are big and easily stick out both ends of the bun. Each hot dog comes with a small pickle spear. The bun is simple and, as long as you don’t overdo it on the toppings, holds up well. Toppings I’ve tried and recommend include the sauteed onions and peppers, jalapenos, sauerkraut, and chili. The toppings are piled on high. I suggest keeping the toppings minimal and simple so you can enjoy the franks. That’s where it’s at. The sides are OK. I’ve tried the sweet potato fries($ 2.50) and the onion rings($ 3.00). The sweet potato fries are thick and dense. Most other restaurants’ sweet potato fries are a slightly thinner and crispier(and also more greasy). The onion rings are freshly cut and look light and airy. The batter is delicate and contains a bit of green garnish(parsley? scallion?). Not bad, but the side should probably be split as the rings are quite oily. Fountain drinks, canned drinks, and sweet tea are available($ 1.25) and homemade strawberry lemonade is made on-site($ 1.75). If dining in, bar seating is available at the stand. The market also has two dining areas with plenty of tables, ideal for group gatherings. Parking tickets can be validated for one hour.

I’ve eaten here a few times for lunch. The dogs are always good, it all tastes fresh and home made. You can’t go wrong with a chilli dog and coleslaw, the shoestring fries are awesome. The only reason I can’t give that fifth star is because of the speed. If you are looking for a quick lunch this is not the place for you. On every occasion I’ve waited upwards of 15 minutes for an order. If you can stick around and take your time it’s worth the wait.

Had the all beef frank with onions, mustard, and sport peppers. Yes, they had sport peppers. Fries are fresh and the dawg has snap when you bite into it. By far, the best dawg outside of Chicago. P. S. Parking is hell on Fridays at the market.

VERYGOODHOTDOG. And I love a good hot dog, I mean, what self-proclaimed REAL foodie doesn’t? First and foremost, I had NOIDEA that the Auburn Curb Market had so many great prepared food selections at its location, so this was a treasured find for me today, INSPITE of my feeling so clueless! I’m a native Atlantan who works and practically lives downtown, so I should know this stuff! But YumDiggity was my first foray into the Curb Market eateries, and it did not disappoint. I chose the Midtown Dog w/shoestring fries, and the hot dog itself was high quality beef(in my best Bobby Boucher *Waterboy* voice). The fries were a tad bit overbrowned but NOWORRIES — I enjoyed them anyhow! They were a delish sidekick to my very tasty dog. HEY, I even remembered to snap a shot this time before digging in — aren’t you proud of me?!? YumDiggity, you will most certainly be seeing me again…

This was like… really good! And I’d never been to the Auburn Curb Market before(and FYI it doesn’t say that on the building) but I’ll have to make it a point to come a couple times a month. But I digress… I got the Midtown Dog. It was a little pricey for my taste but it was actually worth it. Great deli mustard, I might add. The strawberry lemonade is also some of the best I’ve had. Will be returning!

Yum, No Diggity, No doubt! I like the way they worked it! I really enjoyed my polish beef Chi-town style dog. It was super tastey! I would have liked a little more bread for my dog. The polish dog over powered the bread. The customer service was excellent, some of the best that I have had in a long time. The food was made to order so I got it piping hot!

Delicious grub found here! Thanks to Tom E.‘s review, I was especially convinced that I needed to make YumDiggity sausages(instead of arepas from Arepa Mia, which is what I get 85% of the time) the star of my lunch. Bf got a Hot Italian Sausage with grilled onions/peppers and tomatoes with a side of shoestring fries and strawberry lemonade. I got the Hot Chicken Sausage with cole slaw and tomatoes with sweet potato fries and the aforementioned lemonade. We waited less than 10 minutes and paid a bit less than a Jackson and had our food ready. The service was really friendly, which enhanced our experience. When our food was placed on the counter for pick-up, I was quite impressed by the size of encased meat in the buns. They were not wimpy at all(check out photos for visual proof) and when we tasted the crispy fries, bf and I knew we made a good choice. Both sausages were described as «Hot,» and while they had a nice spicy kick, they were not make-you-and-yo-mama-wanna-cry hot. I didn’t try bf’s sausage but he was really pleased and I take his word. I will elaborate my own experience for you though. Sausage did not weigh a ton in my belly, so I gather that it was pretty light, as far as sausages go. The sweet potato fries were perfectly fried, done so well that they didn’t feel greasy(so important for quality deep-fried fare). We were told that the lemonade was made in-house and it was a great accompaniment to our meal. Lunch was so good that we are pumped for the next time. Go check these good people’s food made with love and sausage. Yeah, let’s not make inappropriate comments, okay? ;)

It’s funny. Every time we go to the Sweet Auburn Market(which is pretty often), I have it in my head to queue up at Arepa Mia and get an arepa. They’re good, they’re simultaneously exotic and familiar, and they’re pretty filling. Besides, being gluten-free, it’s one of the few places I can get to-go food for the wife. But more often or not, I end up at Yum Diggity. As first it was because the line at Arepa Mia was huge. Then, after the third or fourth visit, I realized that I’m equally splitting my time between the two places. Huh. The dogs are tasty and seemingly much larger than your standard dog. I say«seemingly» because one order seems to always do the trick, whereas I can eat two or three of, say, a Barker’s dog or those from QT.(Hey, I never said I was a gourmand.) This makes the inevitable $ 8+ lunch a bit easier to take. Whenever I go, there’s usually not much of a line or a wait and the dude at the counter is friendly as hell. And he somehow remembers my name even though I only told it to him once like 6 months ago. Are fat, loud, hot dog eating Filipino guys that rare? C’mon, go to my parents’ house at Christmas and you’ll find a whole living room of them. My only gripe is that they don’t have the red hots any more. Those things ruled. And sorry, counter dude, but the kielbasa, while a tasty meat tube in and of itself, just doesn’t compare despite what you told me.

In terms of family heritage, my family is mostly comprised of German, Irish, and Danish. With that being said, meat in tube form has been always been a staple in my life. Oh yea, and it was easy for my mom to make. With that being said, when I heard they had a HQ sausage slinger at the market, I had to try it out. No its not a fancy schmancy Richard Blais gimmick, this is straight up quality meat with quality ingredients. I have been twice, and I have ordered the same thing– the german brat with shredded cheese and kraut. I felt bad the second time, as it was around 4pm, and I was their last customer(which is weird since Unilocal says the market is open til 6, oh well) — they were nice enough to still cater to my fat ass. The meat is perfectly pink on the inside, and just is bursting with flavor. The freshly shredded cheese and the kraut just add it to another level. You can customize your dogs to your liking, but those seem to be my toppings of choice. If you want to try something than an ordinary hot dog, come here and see for yourself! They also sell meat in bulk form too, you can see it at the counter. Damn I am hungry thinking about this place…
