Just recently started eating here. And I must say it’s always fresh and hot even when you call it in. The wings are not those big ones. They are the small perfect ones. All the sauces are unique in flavor. And they are not over priced at all.

I was told about this take out place from a friend and they said it was the greatest. Begin from NY needing to have home’s chinese food would be nice. You definely will pass it when you get distracted by the area you are in. I defintely asked myself where am I. I called the order ahead due to me never wanting to wait. My Husband choose to go in while I waited in the car. The food was pipping hot and smelled great. I got Shrimp Egg Foo Young with steamed rice and a fountain drink. The vegetables that were put in the Egg Foo Young could have been cooked more other wise the food was good. My husband had the braised chicken wings with fried rice and he seemed to absolutely love it. Its an okay place to get something quick if you are not feeling up to cooking and getting home late. If they moved in to a less suspect area I’m sure they we will be just fine.

You can pretty much never go wrong with Yums. The food is cooked fast and their menu is very large. I had the take away one star because their Asian food is a tad bit suspect and sometimes their wings are very small.

Definitely digging this spot. I love Hood spots! For the most part, they have some of the best(unhealthiest) food. The fried rice(shrimp, chicken) rivals some of the great Chinese take out places back in NY tri state area. Took me back to a place. By far, the best fried rice I’ve had In Atlanta. If you can get past the sketchy area at the Chevron Gas station where this place is locates(and you will be fine…). You will enjoy the great food. They have almost everything. Sandwiches, subs, seafood, Chinese, rolls, the whole shabang. I thought the wings were OK. They will do. Much better quality on that part of town. The place is open at a decent hour(midnight on weekends). You definitely want to call 15 – 20 minutes ahead so you will not be waiting. Good spot. Will be in rotation going forward. Grade: A-/B+

Yesterday was my first visit to Yum’s. I could walk here. This is my neighborhood, it’s where I live, so I’m not going to offer the neighborhood commentary. Moving on. The Philly Cheesesteak IS good, I’d ask for no lettuce or tomato, though. A lot of people seemed to be ordering the fried rice with variations of either extra veggies or no veggies, extra onions or no onions. Whole chicken wings seemed to be popular, too. I would definitely CALL my order in. Six minutes wait time translated to twenty minutes when they were NOT busy, so I can only imagine what this must mean when they are busy. There is an AWFUL smell in here that hits you when you enter. I’m talking about one that set off my gag response. I can’t say this will be my last visit, but I won’t be a frequent patron.

The location is almost scary, but who cares. Delicious food and reasonable prices make me a regular

Imarea can be a bit sketchy after dark. but its decent for late night grub. Philly cheese steak never disappoints. Fried rice and wings are whatever. Its a good second resort over mcdonalds.

Inexpensive and good food. Hole in the wall kinda place that I love. The wings and fries are good. Also had one of their hamburgers. Some great combos. They are open late.

Okay I had yums for the past 3 days. 20 piece braised with FRIEDRICE! I am hooked. This hidden gem is so good When you drive past it you would overlook it. When I tell you its finger licking good. The line is always out the door!

It has taken me 5 or 6 months to do this review since my last visit. I have been a few times over the past year prior to said last visit, but I tell you what I wish I could give this place a –Zero but not for the food. I had Fried Whole Chicken Wings and they were very good! I would give them a 3 Star for the wings but I CANNOT give them a good rating due to the incidents that have occurred here. In the interest of time I will just briefly tell you of the WORST incident. My BF and I stopped late one evening. As we were standing in line a young man asked him if I was his wife. He said yes. Then the guy smiled and said«You a lucky MF. My N». Okay. WOW! Soooo We went back to looking at the menu and waited on him to finish placing his order. I noticed another young man that was initially standing with him asking every person int he restaurant for money. Now mind you, his friend just ordered about $ 40 worth of food so I wasn’t sure what the pan handling was about. As we finally got to place our orders the second young man asked«I really need some money. Can y’all order less food and let me have like $ 10?»…Oh yes he did… So before I knew it I snapped and my BF had to literally step in between the two of us and tell him to hit the road. I asked the woman taking the order’s if this was acceptable behavior in this establishment and all she could say is «I just work here!» So she tells the people cooking and they just look up and say«Sorry. Sorry!» I assume the cashier is there to take a bullet while the owners run out the back after hopefully throwing hot grease up at anyone trying to hold them up. I would not want to have that«Front Line of Defense» position that’s for sure. We sit down and wait on our orders to be prepared and wouldn’t you know it, these guys continue to ask people that come in if they can give them money. And not just as they sat at the tables but while they were at the cash registers trying to pay for their food. So the bf had me sitting with my back towards them so he could get a good view of what was going on. They got their food and continued to ask for money. Apparently they needed gas money to get back home. As one young lady came in and told them to bring their«A’s» on and they better have enough gas money to make it back home. So that’s enough for me going to this place. There were two cops that pulled in and went over to the gas station. I don’t see why the owner’s didn’t go over or call next door or send an SOS them or something! LOL… But I’m done with this place. ZeRO!!!

Ok… really I should deduct a star for how Yum’s is in the hood, but I’ve been going here for at least… idk… 8 yrs so my allegiance won’t allow me to do so. I love Yum’s. Such a hidden gem… diamond in the rough(emphasis on the rough). All sorts of people come for the good food. Now me personally, I come strictly for the philly cheesesteaks or the whole fried chicken wings. Mmmm… I’m hungry. Great value, tons of meat on the phillys, and just… yummy goodness. Yums also has your staple chinese food(fried rice varieties, sweet and sour, beef and broccoli, etc)…and before you think to yourself«uhhh, no thanks… I like my chinese food made by asians…» HALT! The shop is run by asians. They know what they’re doing. =) They just happen to also know what they’re doing when it comes to phillys, fried chicken, fried fish, etc… Disclaimer…if approached by umm… someone in need, or someone who tries to get u to buy a dvd/cd/etc…don’t freak out. Just keep it moving… they’re used to rejection. Oh yea… I always recommend ordering to go! =)

I love going to little eat shops in crime ridden neighborhoods because they are often so good and«yummy». Yum’s Sub Shop is no exception to that. The food here is phenomenally good with HUGE portions. A few weeks ago i ordered a large order of fries and a large order of onion rings. They were a meal in themselves and seasoned just right. The order of onion rings were so big they put them in a box and you get a ton of them. Today i went back and i ordered their seafood platter(two pieces of whitting and four HUGE shrimps. Yum. Seasoned perfectly with a small side of creamey, spicy cole slaw and french fries. The restaurant is extremely clean and efficiently run… no long wait times. There is a lady who works there that is a doll… an absolute gem of a front counter person. Helpful, funny, and quick. This place isnt fine dining but its dang good food and a restaurant you may want to go out of your way to eat at.

I had lunch here yesterday and I must say I was pleased. The restuarant was clean and the young lady at the counter had very good customer service. She was professional and quick. My food was cooked when I ordered it and not already prepared. Considering this location is in the center of a not so good neighborhood, the service, atmosphere and food was absolutely great! I only mentioned that because usually when I try a restuarant in a bad neighborhood the food may be good but the service and cleaniness is bad. I ordered the steak & shrimp with cheese sub combo, it was SOOOOOO Good! The combo was $ 6.49 and it came with fries and a drink. I had the mild & sweet sauce on the side to dip my fries. I know I had no business eating all of it because it look like so much food but I ate the entire meal, now it will take 2 weeks to work off those calories, but it was so worth it!!!
