Incredible service, food portions, and prices. A hidden gem owned by the famous Col mustards.

The owner kicked me out after eating two meals because I was sitting there quietly drinking coffee and writing in my journal. Apparently I had been sitting there too long and he needed the table. Even though the restaurant was far less than half full. I had just finished riding my bicycle from the Pacific Ocean and was just trying to rest my legs. What a jerk.

I can’t even began where to start with the food, so good!!! The service is a little slow in there but it’s to be expected with a busy local diner. Keep it up guys!

The eggs and pancakes are delicious, I will definitely be a regular. The burgers will be the next item I try.

Entertaining and great food! Big daddy had the double breakfast sandwich… He said was awesome. I had the biscuits and gravy and it’s delicious! Princess had chocolate pancakes with pecans and loved them!

Very very very very slow. Got the order wrong, but food was alright. The colonel was a harasser but entertaining.

We tried Home Plate Diner for breakfast loved the biscuits with sausage gravy, I will be a little more adventures next time and try something like «The Senator» or «Pecan Pancakes, with Blueberries … I was pleasantly surprised that the coffee was very good. The staff was friendly and funny. We are looking forward to trying a few other items off of the menu … We will definitely go back.

This awful excuse for a diner is getting one star because 0 stars isn’t an option. Owner was a absolute pig. Constant heckling of guests. I was overcharged by 8 dollars and the service was horrendous. Brought out the wrong food and blamed it on us. Stay as far away as you can from this place. DISGUSTING

Okay place for breakfast. Service is very slow but the atmosphere is kind of nice and laid back and entertaining. We had your basic breakfast of eggs, grits and bacon. Not a bad place for breakfast. It appears to be a good place for locals to hangout.

Ate here for breakfast. Loved the pecan pancakes. Col Mustard kept the time interesting.

If I could give 0 stars I would, and I didn’t even eat here. I frequently go out to eat, and this is THE WORST service I have ever received. Hands down. I went alone on a Saturday morning. They looked a little busy, but there were still open tables and a ton of counter seats open. As I walked in, nobody greeted me. In fact, I had to dodge the waitress as she almost ran into me. I took a seat at the counter, and sat and waited for over 10 minutes. No service. The two idiot waitresses walked past me several times and didn’t even make eye contact. They even helped another counter patron who sat down after me. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve served all my life and never would I ever treat a customer like that. COMPLETELY RUDE. I will never be back. Whoever the two female «servers» were earlier today around 10:45– you deserve to be fired.

Fresh, fantastic food at AMAZING prices. Family owned by some of the hardest workers out there. Be prepared for the owner to come out and entertain!

Classic burger, sandwich, salad and breakfast diner fare… not your greek diner… not your meatloaf and smothered chicken diner.
Theme is sports. Have probably 20 different burgers named for classic sports figures. Can’t wait to go back and try some.
We went for breakfast… over easy eggs perfect. corned beef hash not too greasy, just right and right at the edge of salty. REALLY GOOD COFFEE.
Friendly staff.
Need more sports memorabilia to adorn their walls… need to get their fans to donate some stuff.

The James Brown «cocaine cowboy» bobble head behind the register is totally inappropriate and disrespectful. It may be a funny joke between your other friends in the privacy of your own home but it has no place in a place of business because you may lose customers. As you just did with me!

This would have been my second visit but…, if i cant rely on you to be open your sign says you are open why should I bother again… drive 10 mins out and get there at about 230 and guess what they are closed. Which is more important customers and reliability or go home early? Home early obviously!
Too bad I really had my hopes up!

Now I have been here a few times before. It’s fun and the food is pretty good. «The Colonel» is quite the unique fellow but he wasn’t there. Bummer He had one of his daughters there holding down the fort. I have eaten a few burgers here from the Reuben Gomez to the Wally Johnson is a burger with breakfast on top. On this trip I had a reuben and it was pretty darn good I just miss the Col. speedy wit. So next time I hope he’s in and I hope his son’s baseball team did win in Tampa

Went here to satisfy my waffle craving after passing up Metro Diner due to a super long line as usual. Got a strawberry waffle and a side of corn beef hash. Hubby got chicken and waffles which he proclaimed it to be better than Metro Diner’s :P
They don’t add their fruit on top of the waffle like I usually like, it’s cooked in it. And the waffles are much smaller than usual waffles. Then again, I don’t think they’re Belgian waffles. Nonetheless, I was really satisfied with the meal ;) would’ve gave them 5 stars if the place looked cleaner.
Located in the most underrated strip mall at the beach I think! Really good greek next door and awesome viet across the way.
