My wife and I were driving through Mayport and we stumbled upon this little place. Not very much to look at on the outside, and once you go inside, you find a quaint little restaurant. Family run, they are very efficient in getting your order and handling the numerous takeout orders they received on walk in and phone orders while we were there. We ordered a bowl of Phở, some Stir Fry and Boba Tea. The Phở was very good, as well as they Stir Fry and you can tell they are very flavorful with the different ingredients and spices. The Boba Tea was also very good, I had a coconut and my wife had taro. Obviously the coconut Boba was good, the taro was good as well, but tough to describe in taste. Give it a try though and you will be surprised.

«I stumbled on this gem over a year ago and am never disappointed every time I go. A mom and pop Vietnamese joint tucked away in a small shopping center in Mayport, the dining crowd is a mix of civilians and service men from the local navy and coast guard base. They recently upgraded the small restaurant with mainly décor. It would be nice to see them expand to a bigger place or maybe a second location. Anyway the phở is the best I’ve ever had, hands down. I’ve never had authentic phở in Vietnam but this is what I’d imagine it to taste like. It’s a light/medium broth that isn’t over salted or oily like some phở joints tend to do which ruins the complexity. You can taste all the spices in the broth which gives it an intense mix of flavors, rice noodles and meat are perfect! It’s rare that I venture away from phở on the menu but their spring rolls are great and my boyfriend got the pork vermicelli bowl and it was amazing too! I love Asian food but Phở Viet is a whole other plateau for me!»

As always a delicious meal, fresh and soooooo tasty. Hard to decide what to order, but really you could close your eyes and point to something, and it would be yummy! Don’t let the unfamiliar keep you from trying something new. This is a hidden gem.

Best phở in town. Surprisingly clean and well decorated, considering it’s in Mayport. Definitely recommend this place and am looking forward to returning.

This place is super yummy! Save it for a rainy day and go get a bowl of phở. The small is gigantic. I had the rare steak and brisket.

1ST time here and I am a fan. Came with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. Started with the Vietnamese egg rolls and dumplings. Wonderful. I had a large rare steak and brisket phở. My wife had a small phở ga. My daughter had shrimp fried rice and her boyfriend had beef fried rice. The food was wonderful. The service was even better. I love the fact that this is a small, no frills dining experience. We were there early Saturday…6PM. It was freezing outside and the phở was perfect. Obviously family run and operated. The food was fresh and flavorful. My family and I will definitely be coming back.

Small restaurant with great atmosphere. Perfect for couples. Had the 6 piece fried dumplings for appetizer, very tasteful with variety of sauces. Main dish was the beef brisket phở. Meat was plentiful as well as the noodles. Great service.

I love this place! If ever there was a Mom and Pop, this is it. He cooks. She serves.(that’s severely oversimplifying it, but it’s pretty much it). The kids also work the front of the house when they aren’t in school. The food is amazing and I’m completely addicted. If I’m NOT there for 8 – 10 days, I think they start to worry about me! Skip the standard fried rice dishes and dive into the Phở and other noodle dishes. You can get fried rice at hundreds of joints, but only a handful of places in town – and only one near the beaches – does Vietnamese like this! That said, the grilled pork and chicken plates come with rice and a great salad, so even if you’re with a bunch of gringos, there is something for anyone. Two words: iced coffee Two more: grilledpork springroll Ok, I cheated on that one but between the crispy dumplings and spring rolls, I barely have enough room for noodles.

Would not recommend. Owner turned me away 7:15 when closing time is posted 9:00. Obviously they don’t need my business

Always outstanding, drive all the way across town for this place. No one comes close for me. Everything I’ve ever tried if fantastic. Of course the Phở is the best in Jacksonville in my opinion. Always fresh ingredients and the family who runs it are the nicest folks. Can’t recommend it enough…

I enjoyed their fried rice with chicken & shrimp. The service was great aswell but I did not like their boba tea I’m not sure what was in it but it felt really sugary but I would go back for their delicious rice!

We have been eating at this restaurant for about two years now. It’s the best bowl of phở around and the vermicelli salads are amazing! Everything we have tried on the menu is great. It’s a small, quaint place run by a wonderful family, they remember us and our ‘usual’ order, which makes you feel at home!

I’m originally from San Diego, and when I got stationed out in Mayport I knew I had to find a phở restaurant to get my fix. Phở Viet is great. Awesome service and really quick too, especially if you don’t have much time for lunch. I’m picky about phở broth and their broth is delicious. The only reason why they lose one star is because their portion size could be bigger for their vermicelli noodle dishes.

We have been coming here for a few years, I forgot to review because they seem like family. Nice family owned authentic Vietnamese. The food is always the same, always good! Phở is awesome! We had the p-16 and 17 today. The beef appetizer was a nice addition! Thank you guys. Please try and keep the local family places up and running!

Vegetarian menu is NOT vegetarian! I know, traditionally phở is not vegetarian. However, nowadays many traditional restaurants offer vegetarian friendly options on their menus. Nope, not here. Before trying a new restaurant, I make sure they have options for me or are willing to accommodate me. I call ahead and make sure and calling ahead to this place was no different. After looking through their menu we ordered the tofu spring rolls(A-10), which were okay. My boyfriend, who is a meat eater, ordered a P-5 and he found it also just okay and a bit bland. I ordered off of their vegetarian menu, a noodle phở with lots of fresh vegetables(V-1). After returning home with our take-out, I asked my bf to taste the broth to make sure it was vegetarian. After letting it sit for a moment, I noticed meat particles settling at the bottom. I called the restaurant again and asked the owner if the vegetarian phở was made with a veggie broth or if it was a meat broth. The owner stated that they only use beef broth even though earlier she insisted that the veggie phở was indeed vegetarian. I was about to explain to her that her menu is misleading and that her«vegetarian phở» is not at all vegetarian and shouldn’t be included in that portion of the menu. But she hung up on me mid sentence. So not only does this place have an incorrect menu, they were unprofessional, had terrible service, and we weren’t given an apology let alone a refund. I don’t appreciate being mislead and wasting money on something I can’t even enjoy. On a brighter note, I have found one place with a legit vegetarian phở in Jacksonville. It’s called A Little Bit of Saigon, and their food is amazing! We wanted to branch out and try a new place, but unfortunately it did not work out. I guess we’ll stick with what we know.

Came here after reading Unilocal reviews. Did NOT disappoint. Got the Tofu and Veggie Phở(V-1) and egg rolls. Egg rolls were crisp, hot, and delicious. Try some garlic chili sauce on them and prepare for the heat! The Phở was awesome. The broth was fresh and«clean.» Flavorful without a ton of salt. Veggies were crisp and plentiful. Added plenty of chili peppers and garlic chili sauce. Wife got the grilled chicken salad as an appetizer. Chicken was tender and moist. Just a hint of dressing which was light and fresh. Wife got the Phở Ga. Luckily for me she added too much chili sauce and she allowed me to devour the rest. Chicken again was moist and tender. Broth was just a tad sweet but with a little fish sauce and some more peppers it was on point. Definitely worth the quick drive from Jacksonville.

This has got to be the best Phở in jax! Full of meat, thick flavorful broth, they bring you a big plate of sprouts and herbs to add to your soup, and the service is just amazing. My second favorite thing on the menu is the bahn mi. If I could get them to give me a phở bowl sized portion of that grilled pork I’d be the happiest woman on the planet. Id have to eat one handed and fight off my boys with the other though… I dont know what they do in that kitchen, but the good lord placed his hands on that cook and gave him a double dose of something! It is delicious! Im so glad I live close enough to go whenever I want.

My food was so good I totally forgot to take a picture! I have only ordered the B3 from here – rice noodles, grilled pork, chicken, pieces of egg rolls, veggies, in a light fish sauce(doesn’t take like fish). Served like a cold salad, it’s refreshing and hearty. Even my mom who was skeptical of Vietnamese food said, «oh! I like the way the meat is flavored!» One of my favorite spots to hit up in Jax for a meal that is flavorful and affordable, but won’t weigh you down.

It’s hidden off Mayport Road across from a Greek Diner. It’s small and unassuming– all good things in my book. You sit down, order an ice cold bottle of Tsingtao and head straight for the phở. Minutes later– something arrives. What’s this? An unrequested bonus salad consisting of a lip-smacking chili vinaigrette, herbs and lotus root? Why thank you. Then the phở arrives. It’s rare beef piled high, it’s anisey-ness teasing your nostrils with every breath(like a Police song). Flavor is super balanced, nothing over powering. Great fresh herbs on side, including culantro(bonus). Banh mi’s are also super deelish. Try the grilled pork. Fuggedaboudit. Go.

Fantastic phở. Great little place. Looks very unassuming from the street but it’s worth a stop in. We had vermicelli and phở and both of us were too busy eating to talk. We will be back !
