We were visiting from NC and had lunch at the beach. Wanted pie and found this place on Unilocal.I think we bought a slice of each but my absolute favorite was the strawberry rhubarb pie. The crust was perfect in each slice… thick but crispy. Sketchy area but a jewel of an establishment. I would have given the review 5 stars but I can’t say that the size of the slice given was worth the price paid.

Made a special trip with my daughter for a look at the selection of pies for the day. While we had fun perusing the menu, we settled on the two we came to try: Country Chocolate Pie Chicken Pot Pie Now, these are not inexpensive so if you are not sure of your selection, you can buy individual slices and try them before buying a full pie. We splurged, bought whole pies and were really glad we did. The Country Chocolate was decadent rich and delightfully sweet without overdoing the chocolate or the sweetness. A little goes a long way because it is so rich. The Chicken Pot Pie was exactly the opposite. While it was delicious, savory with a hint of sweetness, I could have done with a double portion. Of course, I probably needed more than one pie to satisfy my two teens, but unlike the chocolate pie, I could have had more. Either way, a lot of good choices. Possibly a little rich on the prices, but when you deliver good products like the ones we tried, you pay for quality.

Wow wow wow. Stopped by for a slice of pie and enjoyed the most delicious chicken pot pie I have ever eaten. Better than the church ladies served at a Sunday social, Pie Heaven is a slice of heaven in Atlantic Beach. For dessert, the ubiquitous key lime pie was tart but sweet and creamy as silk. Linda and Anita are culinary Angels, and I can’t wait to try this place again. Don’t wait for a Saturday drive to make it to Mayport Road. And when you need that special dessert they take whole pie orders. Love it. Five stars.

This is the cutest little old house converted into a small restaurant that makes nothing but amazing pies. Savory, fruit, custard… All pie all the time. And everything we’ve had has been good enough to tempt me to slap my grandmother.

The worst pumpkin pie we ever«tried» to eat!!! Would never purchase anything there again! The pumpkin pie was loaded with cloves and very dry. The cloves took over the taste of what was supposed to be pumpkin! We threw away the 2 pumpkin pies, as it was uneatable!!! The apple pie was just fair at best. It was mostly a heavy, thick crust with a small amount of apple. What a waste of money, $ 87.00 for 3 pies; two of which were dumped into the garbage.

I’m sorry but I can’t agree with these reviews. I purchased an apple pie and a savory chicken pot pie and nothing about the pies were good. The crust was heavy and tasteless and it was just way to much crust. Not at all buttery and flaky like some reviews are stating. The apple filling wasn’t sweet and the chicken pot pie was not seasoned at all. Unfortunately for the money we spent no one in my home was impressed in the least!

After learning about Pie Heaven on Facebook, we decided to venture out this Saturday and give them a try. We were greeted by a very friendly woman(the owner) who filled us in on how to order and what was available. We tried several slices: Key Lime, Country Chocolate and Triple Berry. All were delicious. You could absolutely tell that the pies are homemade… they were delicious! After months of trying to find a dessert that is «worth it» in a place other than my own kitchen… This is it! Our favorite was the Key Lime pie(my husband deemed it the best key lime pie he’s had in years!) but the others were also delicious. We were so impressed that we ordered a slice of the Organic Pumpkin pie and a whole Chicken Pot Pie to take home and share with our children. We will be back and we can’t wait to try what other delicious pies Pie Heaven has to offer!

I was in the Mayport area and I stopped in to try a couple of pieces of pie. A lovely woman greeted me and made me feel right at home. I ordered a slice of apple and coconut custard. Both were delicious! I look forward to returning and trying one of their savory pies.

The Gluten Free Strawberry Rhubarb pie we got here to celebrate Canada Day was unbelievably good. It was like a little piece of home. I have never had pie crust so flakey! I don’t care if the pies are pricey as noted by some reviewers, when the quality is this good.

Oh dear heavens. This pie. I ordered my moms fav for her birthday and got their organic cherry pie. The freshest pie I’ve ever had and the crust was perfectly flaky, and just absolutely unbelievable. The atmosphere inside the café was totally adorable and needless to say, I will be coming bck to try their other pies.

I have been looking for over a yr for a place that makes real homemade pies. This is the place. It is small inside, but well worth it. The pies are so good and you can tell the are made by someone that knows what they are doing. We got the peach and country chocolate. They were both so good. Real fresh fruit was uses. And the crust, omg the crust was so delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for real homemade pies.

Would love to rate this 5 stars but just can’t. It’s not that the pies aren’t tasty but our first, and most likely last, visit is mostly due to the cost for the quantity. $ 14 for a piece of pie and a teeny tiny tart just seems a tad expensive. The berry tart was good but I would say the crust to fruit ratio was 80⁄20 with 80% being crust. I love pie crust, don’t get me wrong, but I also want to be able to taste the fruit as well. Also the fact that they won’t cut a slice of pie on some of them made no sense. I could get half a pie or a quarter, but not a slice? Friends wanted two slices of pie and ended up spending $ 22 as no individual slices could be had and they had to buy a quarter of a pie and an entire 6″ pie. We may sound cheap, and maybe that’s the case, but just think the pricing is a deterrent. Lovely spot and very friendly staff.

This place popped up on my radar earlier this year as the reviews started showing up. And then I figured out where it was when we found ourselves in Mayport one Sunday afternoon. Picked up a slice of the bourbon pecan pie & a mini chicken pot pie. Not the biggest fan of pecan pie, but PHBC makes a good argument for why I should be. Plenty of flavor packed into this healthy slice. Still not my first choice for pie flavors, but if you’re a fan of pecan pies, you’ll probably love this one. I was, however, impressed with the chicken pot pie. One day I will order a whole one. On a cheat day. In the very distant future. It was so rich and ten times better than the one’s you can find at the grocery store. I’ve made chicken pot pie from scratch before, but it didn’t turn out anywhere near as good as this one. I will definitely keep them in mind when my mom sends me to buy pies for the holidays.

I’m not a pie person. I like chocolate and ice cream if I’m going to have a sweet treat. But this place has totally changed that! Got a slice of pecan and apple cranberry and LOVED them both. The apple cranberry was my favorite. The crust is soo moist but flaky at the same time — I cannot wait to go back and try more! I will definitely be ordering a party pie for the holidays too!

I’m in Awe at the astounding customer Service and professionalism I received today. Never in my life has someone been more gracious. I really felt like this a part of my family. Not to mention her and my Aunt have the same name. :) i’m not bias I swear. MYFACEBOOKPOST:(Keep in Mind, I’m in California) My wasn’t around this year to celebrate her Birthday, SO I contacted a Local bakery Pie Heaven Bakery Café and spoke with the owner Anita, who went above and beyond. First off they’re handmade, ontop of that Anita went out of her way to find a delivery service that could deliver today. My Mom and Aunties/uncle just got them. The pies are still warm. Thank you so much Anita, you really made my moms Birthday. Comfort foods… #lemonmeringuepie #chickenpotpie From my family to yours Thank you! I will have to come see you and your Bakery when I’m out there next year. I’m jealous they get to enjoy all your amazing food without me. lol Hey Mom how are the pies? «Beyond Delicious»

The name is apt. This is literally Pie Heaven. We each had a slice on the spot and each got a slice to go. I had Apple Pie both times because I love apple pie. My wife had Coconut Cream Pie and a lemon pie whose name I forget. Everything was awesome! The folks that run the place are friendly, too! Next time I am near Mayport I will get a whole pie to go!

We drove by this little place the day we went out to Singleton’s. Unfortunately — or fortunately — they weren’t open that day; otherwise, my wife would have taken a hard right and we would have perused their offerings. To my surprise she went on a reconnaissance mission for cherry pie, but came home with a savory cousin for dinner. I fault her 90-mph personality for not realizing the mini-pie truly was a MINI pie. She did have a point it would allow us to try the chicken pot pie and determine if we would get another one in the future. WIth reheating instructions in hand(and a little bit of extra roux) she started to ‘cook’ dinner. The pie browned nicely in the oven and as we cut into it, we were happy to discover it was a thick gravy rather than a soupy gravy like you can get in the frozen variety. It was chock-full of veggies and the crust was buttery delicious. We both prefer a little more tooth in our crust, so we might let it bake a little longer next time. While my heart was torn she went without me, I’m glad I got to taste. I’m looking forward to going back. They offer quiches, savory pies, and sweet pies. You can buy most of them by the slice. They have mini-pies for some of their savory pies and full pies for most of their delicacies. You can find the different flavors they have on their website, however, you really won’t know what they have ready for your tastebuds until you get there. They have a board on the counter letting you know what they have available to bite into or to take home for later. Do yourself a favor and go a little bit out of your way to find some ‘made with love’ treats.

If it were physically possible to eat pie for every meal without your organs shutting down, I would eat only Pie Heaven. Come to think of it, they do offer savory pies in addition to their huge selection of dessert pies, so this might be doable. We sampled slices of the apple, mixed berry and strawberry rhubarb. Were they good? No, they were great! Also tried their pinwheels, which were light and crunchy spirals of buttery pie crust. It was pie without the filling and it was amazing. I wouldn’t blame you for balking at paying $ 6 for a single slice of pie, but one taste and you’ll realize it’s worth every penny.
