Food very good stuffed artichoke is great. Pizza and pasta dishes very good. Chef Mike is wonderful

Luckily they were able to accommodate a table of 8 without a reservation. You can smell the brick oven pizza be cooked during your dinner. The pizza and entrees were all great as well as the service. Lots of kids with families but also a lot of couples out for a romantic dinner.

I heard very good reviews of this place from family and my customers. Went there tonight to meet my brother in law and family. What a HUGE disappointment. The appetizers came out with the dinners, my brother in law had to get up and get his own refill of seltzer and lemon from the bar, his own grated cheese, and water for the table. I asked 3 people for a refill of my iced tea and never got it. It took 30 minutes just to get bread. I ordered an easy dish, spaghetti and meatballs. How hard can it be to make? Well I have to say they were the worst meatballs I’ve ever had, there were no Italian spices inn then what so ever. The only spice I tasted was a hint of chili powder. When the owner came over he just had excuses no apologies. I got up to go to the bathroom and we’ll what do you know, an adult cave cricket greeted me at the door and stared at me while I… Went #1. (see pic) Gross!
Unfortunately I have to give one star but I will never go here again.

We were here on vacation and this place was home away from away from home. Everyone is so nice and make you feel part of the family. Not only are we happy we stopped here, but we’re counting the days till we get to come back.

Amazing dinner here! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. This was my second time coming here and the first was just as good. Had the lobster bisque, lasagna and gnocchi (all amazing).

I go there pretty often with friends and I can honestly say that everything I have tried so far is great! John and his entire staff are cordial and attentive. I keep going back because I love the place and the crowd.

Went there on a whim last night. The room is clearly someones dedicated fetish to Marilyn Monroe, and the curtains are too much like a bordelo. The wine was overpriced and not a generous pour. Chianti should not be $ 9 a glass, unless is a primo reserved variety. The way to the bathroom looks like some shoddy home renovation and why is there a chair in the men’s room? On the plus side the chicken cacciatore was excellent and my pasta dish was good and al dente.

I’ve eaten here mutliple times and taken out. The food is always hot and delicious! Great place for families! Penne alla Vodka is the best! Spaghetti and Meatballs are tender and delicious! The staff is always friendly and courteous. Will definitely be returning!

For $ 78.00 we got 2 pizzas that was not the greatest and 6 beers. Talk about a rip off for subpar food! Buyer beware

My boyfriend and I really love the food here. John is a wonderful host. The food is delicious with generous portions. The new bar is great. The only negative is the terrible entertainment on Friday nights. Ugh.

We go as a family at least once a month. Friendly service people. Love the owners. Can’t go wrong with the brick oven pizza. Baked clams are great. Gnocchi is my husbands favorite. Blackened scallops with goat cheese salad is a good light choice.

Don’t try the Veal. It isn’t the best in the city, or on Long Island for that matter. Our «Waitress» was indifferent, so were the bus boys who brought our food. My Veal which was one of the priciest entrees on the menu, was just terrible. Like it was nuked a few times before it made it to my table. Had to lean into it to cut it with the butter knife they provided. Dark grey in color, covered in brown goo, flavorless. Just horrid. I was not even offered any fresh cracked pepper!!! WTF?! (Not that it would have helped the shoe leather I was served)
The singer/​guitar player was so loud I had to shout at my dinner partner. Our «Waitress» did return, once to mechanically ask if everything was «OK», and once more to drop the check on the table. By this time I was done with Villa Mare. Leave this place to the locals from Atlantic Beach who have no taste and wouldn’t know good Italian food if it bit them in the ass.

We had take out from Villa Mare and liked the food very much. The food was great and ready when we go there. We will be back!

We go to Vila Mare on a regular basis, with our grandchildren. John can not be nicer, staff is great, kids (5 under 6) love it.
Love the seafood salad, pizza galore, music and dancing Friday nights…

If I could. make 0 stars I would.
1. Staff rude and obnoxious.
2. Slow service.
3.dirty restroom.
4. Staff does not care.
Went tonight for my dads 85 birthday. Besides the horrible atmostphere and service and the just about edi ble food we had a horrible experience which caused me, my wife and 2 children to depart early.
Our son has an anaphalactic cheese allergy. When ordering we advised the waiter and ordered penne with butter. Only pasta and butter and no cheese. We stressed no cheese.
45 mintues. later his dish arrived we checked with the man who delivered the food to the table to verify there was no cheese. He was annoyed like everyone else who works here and assured
cheese. Well… the ground (not gratted round ground balls) cheese was all over the pasta. We sent it back. Several Minutes later they returned with a new plate but the same pasta was in the plate and it still had cheese on it.
Nobody besides the waiter cared. No appologies
Besides that the food was barely decent horrible menu and the bathrooms are dirty and located behind the bar and require you to aee the untidy kitchen.
We left early so I could take my son to taco bell to eat. Cant tell you how the rest of the meal went or what the final result was.
They nearly killed my son and didnt seem to care.

Pizza is the real deal. Old world style and delicious. Warm and cozy inside.

My whole family loves this joint, except me. It’s OKAY. Typically crowded with neighborhood people but all of the dishes, even the specials are consistently bland. Brick oven pizza is always overdone or burned crust.

Great casual dining. John the owner is accommodating and very friendly. All the wait staff is professional and courteous. Fun for a nice friendly Italian dinner. Great oven baked pizza. Wide variety of salads, pasta and apps.

They seated our party of 8 within 15 minutes notice on a Saturday night — very impressive! The quality and quantity of food was not to be surpassed. The service was warm and friendly. We’ll definitely be returning!
