I’ve done jury duty in Camden and Mays Landing, and the experience is usually not too bad. However, this place sucks. You park in a garage that’s four blocks away. You’ll be asked for change at least twice on your way to the courthouse. Don’t bother bringing any drinks with you– you’ll be made to throw them out at the security checkpoint yet encouraged to go to the second floor coffee shop and buy more. After being thoroughly scanned, you’ll be made to wait, single file, while someone manually goes through jury information cards using an early 1980’s paper system.(Make sure you ask for them to validate your parking garage ticket, because they may not ask you.) After this laborious process, you’re made to wait in a courtroom where there’s very little room to move around– forget about getting in and out of the rows to use the bathroom. On top of all that, it’s literally refrigerator temperature in the middle of summer. The only good things about this place are the employees(kind, efficient, and pleasant) and the Wifi. Bring your tablet, a heavy sweater, a lot of patience… and an empty bladder.
