Absolutely amazing food! We came on our way back from a trip to the beach and quite frankly have considered driving back from Philly JUSTFORTHISFOOD. Incredibly nice staff, LGBTQ friendly experience and very willing to make recommendations when asked. I got the fajitas and my girlfriend got chicken tostadas… all I can say is we were blown away by this place, the food was so good. The salsa and chips that came for free were really good too!

Super slow service, out of key ingredients. Waited a half hours for the check. Wouldn’t go back. Meh.

Excellent food and nice atmosphere. Only recently heard of this place but glad I did. Best mexican I’ve had in the area and very reasonably priced. Had the tacos al pastor for an appetizer and chicken burrito served with rice and beans. Husband had the chimichangas and it was all very tasty especially the chimichangas. Got a certificate from so even better value. Try it!

Went here as part of an overnight trip to Atlantic City. Picked it from amongst the restaurants that were available via . Small place, rustic décor, nice ambiance. Was in early so we’d be sure to make it to the show we were in town for. Service was pretty good, no real complaints there. Waitress made a point to invite us back for the dancing that was going to be going on later. I had the Quesadillas de Pollo with chicken(also could have beef or shrimp), and really enjoyed them. The sauce inside was very flavorful without being spicy hot(and while I like spice, this didn’t need the heat). The rice that came with was tasty, though the refried beans were a thinner consistency than I prefer, they weren’t bad. My wife had the Molcajete de Cantina. Was a lot more food than she expected, and she had difficulty stuffing the small tortillas that came with due to the size of the pieces, but flavor was good. Since we were there early(5:30pm) there was only a few people at the bar and one other table, but they have a setup for live music/dj, so noise level could be high. I’d give it 4 stars based on my dish, the wife says 3 star.

Haven’t been inside the restaurant. I ordered delivery. So … My experience seems to be different from the other reviews. Finding a menu for this restaurant on Unilocal was impossible. No web link either. Google search? Also not very easy. When I did find their website(with menu) … I tried to call the number on their website. I got a doctors office. I go back to Unilocal and try that phone number. I’m connected to the restaurant. Now it’s an ordeal trying to place an order with someone who can’t understand me. Food finally arrives. Late. Cold. But I move forward with a positive attitude … Ceviche is good. Nachos are good. Tacos al pastor are flat out awful. The meat has a weird stewed meat flavor. It’s completely dried out. Not edible. I’ve eaten plenty of tacos al pastor in Mexico. These are not even close. When I placed my order, I asked about getting a 2 liter of soda. She said they only had Coke. I said I didn’t want that. She repeated my order back to me. Delivery guy shows up with a 2 liter of Coke. I was charged $ 4 for it. So … As far as delivery goes … I would NOT order from this place again. Some of my food was good. Some was not edible. They clearly don’t excel with things like Internet, correct information(phone numbers) and ordering is a hassle. But it sounds like it might be a nice place to eat at. Just not delivery. And definitely not for tacos al pastor.

Came here for the weekend with a lot of family. Only 10 of us went to eat, 5 children 5 adults. At first it seemed too busy due to a long dirty table out. And sure it was the lady said it’s going to be hard to accommodate 10 people at the moment. It was Saturday am around 1130. But then they said the wait was approximately 10 or 15 mins. We waited, within 10 mins they cleaned the large table out side and set it up for us. Service since then was A+ and food was great. Tasted good and service was well too

Stopped in here for lunch. Had the chicken Sopas. Very good and fresh just under spiced seasoned a bit. Salsa to me is a huge part of any Mex restaurant experience for me and the salsa here pretty much costs a star for me. Friendly SVC I would definitely return don’t get me wrong. Good value as well compared to say Mexico on the other side of town.

I am Mexican and I grew up with women who can cook their a$&es off!!! So I have high high standards when it comes to my cuisine. It’s sooooo hard to find good authentic Mexican food. I’ve tried a lot of places and it’s disappointment after disappointment. Or some places are good but just not authentic. The place tho got my attention !!! The closest thing to authentic that I’ve tried in the Atlantic city area … Just some really really good Mexican food!!! Plz go and try you will not be disappointed !!

Great sopes de pollo and the ceviche i had was really good, lots of nice sized shrimp and fish. I dont typically care much for mexican cuisine, only on occasion, but this place has me changing my mind. Authentic and tasty if your in AC looking for something different.

We needed to get away from the casino life for a bit and found El Charra! It was exactly what we were looking for being from the DC/NoVa. Not very vegetarian friendly but they accomadated with a lovely veggie burrito for me. My girlfriend had the Al Pastor tacos which she loved, spicy and sweet. The service was top notch. Great place.

Just arrived in town staying at the sheraton. This is Two short blocks away. Had carnitas Very simple(pork, cilantro, onion, sauce). They were excellent. And I had the wings which were also pretty good(light breading, very crispy), sauce was on the side. Which was a actually nice because they were better with the sauce that came with the carnitas than the wing sauce

Wanted to try a place down the street but they weren’t serving food at the time so they directed us to this place. We were the only ones in the restaurant so we sat at the bar and ordered a Corona and margarita. Not the worst margarita, not the best. I tried the mango margarita, sent it back and the bartender was glad to make me a new drink, even he said the mango mix looked a little off. I ordered the hot pork tacos with pineapple salsa and my boyfriend ordered a torta, which is a spanish sandwich. The pork was flavorless and I was really disappointed all I tasted was the pineapple on top. My boyfriend’a torta was so much better :(it had chicken, avocado, bacon, ham(I think I got it all). We ordered rice and beans as a side, not the greatest. Could have passed. Nothing too exciting.
