Popeyes Chicken and Biscuits

When Koreans come over to New York and complain how bad TGI Fridays and Pizza Huts are compared to theirs in Korea, I didn’t understand them. My idea was that since they’re chain restaurants they should have the same recipe. After today, I understand their rants.
Their chicken wasn’t as juicy, but the skin is still crunchy. The fries didn’t taste like Cajun fries (little seasoning). The mash potatoes were chunky and had a little bit of corn powder. Compared to New York’s, this was shit. But New York’s could be called shit compared to somewhere else’s.
The cashier lady was really patient with my mom who insisted she try to speak in English when I could have easily ordered. Good job!

Popeyes is my wife’s favorite fast-​food restaurant chain. She just LOVES their spicy fried chicken.
I prefer Popeyes mild fried chicken but, even though it tastes great, I have a major problem with it: It isn’t just that it is unhealthy; it’s that it looks and tastes unhealthy too. Unlike French fries, which are unhealthy but look and taste innocent enough, Popeyes fried chicken looks and tastes unhealthy to the point where I can’t get the thought of strokes and heart attacks out of my head as I eat it. And I can’t enjoy my meal because thoughts of dying from the food ruin it for me.
We were here yesterday at around 6:00 pm and both had the two pieces of chicken combo that includes a side and a soda. My wife had spicy chicken and cole slaw, and I had mild chicken with rice and beans. We both had diet cola to drink but I forget if it was Coke or Pepsi. We shared a Blackberry Cream Cheese Pie for dessert.
All the food was very pleasing to our taste buds, and I’m giving this place four stars because you can’t blame them for my mental deficiencies that interfered with my enjoyment of the food.

First time being in this Popeyes and most likely it will be my last.
Service was somewhat good. But the food size is a total ripoff and also the food i got was not even fully cooked. ???
Lastly the amount of fries you get for $ 5 is ridiculously small.

I have been to this restaurant three times. Service can be really, really slow but the food is really, really good. Once when it was particularly busy I had to wait twenty minutes for my food after ordering it. I strongly recommend getting the Blackened Ranch dipping sauce with your nuggets/​tenders.
