No matter how many negative reviews they delete or hide, or how many reviews they have created by regulars and employees trying to make this place sound better than it is, and believe me they make it sound way better than it is. Look at the list of 11 negative reviews. These speak the truth and this is what you will experience when you go there. I have a place down the shore nearby so I stop in about once a year, and absolutely nothing has gotten better since this place opened up years back(I swear I keep hoping). The drink specials are gross, the service is completely inept and more interested in flirting than getting you a drink. The prices are high, The ambience… well there is no ambience. The drag queens are disgusting and untalented. There is no dance floor unless there’s a drag show and then the drag show is on the dance floor so there is no dance floor. during the winter it’s always freezing cold and they have space heaters(which often do not work) lying out in the middle of the floor in order to warm up the place because the heat is ineffectual. Wait, this somehow makes the place sound big but let me correct that. If there were 30 people in this bar(drag show area which actually belongs to the bar attached to it next-door which is a straight strip bar-excluded) it would be completely packed from wall-to-wall. It is the smallest gay bar ever, as well. The negative descriptions of the area of town where this bar is located are completely honest. you worry for your life when you’re coming or going from this place. Oh yeah, the strippers… The last time I was there I had a stripper take exceptional Liking to me to the point where he was not taking no for an answer to me taking him home and paying him for a night of his services… Which were not that inviting considering he was only gay for pay and his list of won’ts had me doing all the dirty work and not getting anything out of it other than to spend time with this«stud»… Lol. Yeah this place is something to experience if but once. If you remember the West Side when it was open… this place makes the Westside look like the Brass Rail. I ache for the Westside to re-open, and when that place was in business I thought IT was by far the worst bar I’ve ever been to. Well. rainbow room made me eat my words. This bar is so bad it makes even the most proud homo feel like he might have made a mistake coming out. I have visited almost every gay bar in the tri-state area(and MDDC and VA) and I have to say this is probably the worst one I have ever been to ever… and I mean in the far reaches of the sticks and places where you are actually expecting to see three locals sitting at a bar getting shitfaced, not in a major city on the coast. Frankly, I don’t know how they make enough money to keep the place open, but I really wish they wouldn’t. Atlantic City would be better off not having any gay bars whatsoever than to have this one stay open. Or what they should do is play up the tackiness and divyness of this bar and do it on purpose. Make it a real shit-show on purpose and that would actually entice people to see the worst gay bar in the the world which is actually what it should be named. The Rainbow Room in New York ought to sue this place for using its name and possibly making even two people think that it might be at all related. Are you getting the idea that this is a terrible bar, gay or otherwise?

This is the fountain of life for the dying gay community of Atlantic county. I walked in one day, and fell in love with everything about it. This bar has won awards for great customer service, and great drinks. Vince, Ed, Gidget, and Colleen(the bartenders) are each amazingly awesome in their own way. And José, the barback, brings warm welcoming charisma as well to the table. They all talk to you and listen to what you have to say, Instantaneously making you feel like part of their family. Each night has a different promotion. Whether it’s karaōke, all night happy hour, ladies night, beer buckets, DJ night, drag show night(Jenna Tall is usually the headliner and she’s amazing). This place needs more recognition because they are the saviors of the gay scene of Atlantic county. The only way you’ll be disappointed, is if you don’t show up. See you guys this weekend!

Great gay bar in AC — Ed the bartender was friendly and welcoming. Crowd was light but friendly as well. Happy hour prices were great, and nice to have a bar open on a Monday night! Would definitely return!

I love the rainbow room dispite it’s many flaws. Yes it’s crampt. There is no food to be had, and it’s in the sketchy part of tow(because every part of AC is sketchy as fuck yes even in the casinos they just hide it better there), but it is the only gay bar in AC. Maybe all of south jersey. The bar tenders are sweet. The drag queens are soucy, abd it’s safest part of AC to me. For this 4 Stars.

The only gay bar in Atlantic City, which gives it a monopoly on the tourist and local patrons. Went in on a Monday night, which was dead, but the bartender and select few customers made it entertaining. Mondays is Bears and Cubs night, which is fun since I’m neither of the two, but don’t let that stop you from coming in. It was a lot of fun. Drinks are cheap and strong, so make sure to walk to the bar if your staying in the local area. Also on slow nights the main bar is only open, which is small. On larger events the place is much larger with access to multiple bartenders.

Rainbow Room is my favorite New Jersey bar ever. I used to go to Probar as well but after they closed, Rainbow Room was the only gay bar left in AC. The staff and bartenders are social and make you feel welcome. I see reviews saying the area is sketchy but in all the times I have gone there, I have never left dissatisfied, or felt as if I wasn’t safe. There is a parking lot in the front of the building so you don’t have to pay to park in a garage and walk anywhere. Very convenient. They have a jukebox with any song you can think of, and requesting my anthem is one of my favorite parts of the evening. The opening of their new giant extension has been my favorite part about rainbow room since I began going there. The bars on both sides are exceptional, and now there is something for everyone. Gidget the bartender has a fantastic spirit and knows how to keep his customers entertained. Saturday’s drag show is out of this world and Sundays male review night is a blast. I would definitely recommend Rainbow Room to anyone who has never been there. When I go with friends, they always tell me they had a fantastic night and end up coming back frequently. Perfect place to go when you #doac!

Was there this past Saturday night, in AC for a nice extended weekend. Found this place after learning ProBar, in Resorts Casino had closed. The place is in a sketchy neighborhood. Wasn’t really impressed. Drinks were overpriced… didn’t even get a buy back… probably because all the bartenders were drinking for free. Was expecting a legit club in the back room… when it opened was disappointed, back room had a strip pole which I found odd and 2 bars… small dance area. Left around 1am… due to lack of interest. There was about 10 people in the bar/club for a Saturday night. There was supposed to be a drag show… but it still didn’t start when i was there. Probably wouldn’t go back again next time in town.

I just came from the Rainbow Room. It’s the best LGBT bar in AC. Wait, it’s the only LGBT bar in AC. Still, the space is very comfortable. They had nice gogo boys(not my thing, but adds to the ambiance and décor). The facilities look well maintained. Music was great and at a volume that people can talk. Fun place, diverse crowd, friendly atmosphere, excellent bar service. I didn’t give it a full five stars because the drinks were a little overpriced.
