The ambience was weird, especially because of the red lighting, but the food was great for the most part. My girlfriend and I did not care much for the server, we felt like she tried to hard, and even almost got into an argument with us. I ordered the Siberian nachos and they were incredible! My girlfriend ordered the calamari and although good, one of the sauces was over the top with the heat… Mind you I love spicy, but this surpased even my tolerance. For my entrée I had a great duck confit dish, with a perfectly cooked duck breast and a foie gras risotto, which I only left the bone piece of the duck drum stick… Wow one of the best dishes ever. My girlfriend had the Lobster Fettucinne and we told the waitress hold the truffle oil and she freaked out. She kept insisting for her to try it, but she acted like she never had, when she has, and hates it! I am in the restaurant business and when a customer says I dont want that on my plate, you need to make it happen and keep your opinions to yourselves. Besides that the dish was nice, but overpriced. My girlfriend did not complaint so whatever. No dessert because we were trying to leave because the lighting of the restaurant made us feel dizzy. In the end I am sad that its closed because I planned on returning when I go back to AC. That entrée was special to me. I probably gained 2 to 3 pounds on that dish a lone.

I visited AC last weekend for a quick weekend getaway with my boyfriend. I usually don’t bother eating in these super overpriced mediocre food spots, but the pics seemed romantic, and I thought it would be fun to go in the Vodka room with the fur coats for a quick pic. The calamari was excellent. The lobster pasta and Beef Stroganoff were kind of blah, and terribly expensive. Here’s what pissed me off. We waited for more than 10 minutes for a bachelorette party to clear out of the vodka room so we could go in and try it out, only for the hostess to tell us as we went in that it was bottle service only. We spent tons of money on dinner, and then were told we couldn’t stand in a cold room for 5 minutes because we didn’t buy an entire bottle of vodka. Ridiculous considering that’s their whole attraction. I’d never go back.

Tasty cocktails that are $ 11 – 13. By DC standards, that’s pretty reasonable, especially in a venue that is a bit upscale. Didn’t try the food, which is much less reasonably priced(but also looked delicious).

Good martinis and cocktails, a little on the pricier side but not ridiculous. Best bathrooms ever.

Interesting set up. By the name it’s obvious that it’s a Russian themed restaurant… minus the stern looking people. Next to the hostess area and main bar is a walk in freezing cold vodka vault. It’s a unique experience since you can don the fur coat and hat and feel like a true Russian. The dining area is dark and red… figures. The décor is made up of statues and a large chandelier. Very cool. Onto the food. One word: expensive. I didn’t realize communism was so pricey! We started out with the calamari which were surprisingly good BUT had way too many what I like to call spider looking things… those things gross me out. Their martini menu was an ode to Russia. Various drinks named after interesting Russian nostalgia. I tried their Russian beer and it was quite good and knocks you on your butt if you have 3… For a main meal I went with the Beef Stroganoff — Tips of Filet Mignon with Strozapretti Pasta, Ragout of Mushrooms and Peas Shoestring Potatoes, Crème Fraiche. Very good but not enough Filet… and for $ 36 it was very pricey! For dessert we split the bananas foster cake… it was ok… kind of a freezer burn taste to it. The service was very good and she was not overwhelming. The atmosphere was quite for a Friday night(the ruckus was outside). Their prices, as I mentioned before, were expensive. Main dishes(serving size not too much) avg $ 40…and they were offering filet with asparagus and fries for $ 63…really?

For my friend’s bachelorette party, we decided to do a fancy/formal dinner on the main night out, Saturday night. I had been having huge issues trying to get a reservation, even starting two-three weeks back because of restaurant week, and since we were a large party, a lot of the restaurants wanted us to order prix fixe menus and buy bar packages. Red Square has continental cuisine and an excellent vodka selection and cocktail list. The décor is over the top, in these typical Vegas-AC restuarants, and it was a nice lively atmosphere. We arrived early for our reservation and got seated not too long after. The vodka vault is quite ridiculous, so take a peek if you get a chance. Our meal was pretty straightforward. We all got an entrée, a drink, and as a table we split some appetizers. The service was really good– they kept us full of bread and we didn’t wait too long for our drinks to arrive. I got the angel hair pasta with jumbo lumps of crabmeat. It was really good, light, and dotted with really big pieces of crab. A couple of the girls got the beef strogonoff(which was tasty but heavy), the crab cakes, and the blackened tuna. Everyone was really pleased with their dishes, and their drinks. Their vodka list is extensive, and the atmosphere is a great start for a night out in AC. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was one of our favorite dinners in Atlantic City so far this year. First of all the ambiance is super posh and sexy. We were here on a Friday night and the place was only around half full. It is their off season and walking right in with out a resv. was nice. The vodka menu is the best and the largest in New Jersey. Our server was very knowledgeable about the vodka and steered me into the right direction. There is a nice bumpen loungey beat playing at perfect level in the background through out the restaurant too. We split the stuffed mushroom with lump app and it was scrumptious. I had the NY strip and she had the Lobster Fettuccine. Both entrees were awesome and worth every penny. The flavor packed into each dish really knocked your socks off. The star of the show was the dessert though. The very best Bananas Foster I have ever had my life. It beat Emeril’s in South Beach! The presentation was unmatched and we savored every bite. I wish success to this restaurant and the Chef because it clearly is one of the most unique and winning dining choices in AC.

I love the décor of this place and came in recently for a few drinks. I did not get to try the food, however. I am not a huge vodka fan or expert and was a bit overwhelmed by the HUGE list of different vodkas. I think if you’re a vodka aficionado, this would be a great place to go. I wish they had a few cocktail suggestions on their menu. The bartender wasn’t very helpful either… There were a few infused vodkas at the bar and he didn’t give any suggestions on what to drink them with or if they were good straight up. Since I was so overwhelmed by the menu, I chose the russian lager they had in a bottle. I thought it was pretty good, but had a slightly strange aftertaste that I couldn’t quite pinpoint. At 12% I was feeling a bit woozy after just 1.

Phenomenal Experience at Red Square! The Vodka Vault is a MUST! Don’t be misled that its just russian food it’s not, they had everything from Filet, Duck, & Pasta in addition to specialties like Chicken Kiev & Beef Stroganoff. We Purchased from the Vault $ 175 bottle which was served tableside with 3 mixers and garnishes. Saving 1 shot per person for after dinner, our server took us over to the Vault and handed us each Luxurious Russian Fur Coats… we stepped into the Vault to take shots & get some amazing pictures! It was worth every penny for the fun experience! We were there for a Bachelorette Party and felt like royalty! The Food was top notch, Entrees were served with delectable sauces and 1 side, you could purchase extra sides large enough to share. Make sure you book a table well in advance if you are going to AC on a weekend!

Two friends and I dined here on a Saturday night while in Atlantic City for a Girls Weekend. Our dinner reservation was at 8:00. Upon our arrival the hostess let us know that our table would be ready in about 15 minutes. We decided to have a drink in the bar and enjoy the ambience. Their signature martini the Red Square was amazing. Loved the bleu cheese stuffed olives. We ordered the calamari appetizer. It was delicious, not at all chewy, and the sweet and sour dipping sauce was a nice change to the typically served marinara sauce. After about 20 minutes we were seated. Our waiter let us know that the filet was their signature dish and gave us a little insight into their vodka collection. We took his recommendation for the«Red, White & Blue» flight of vodka. Four different types of vodka — the best in my opinion was the blueberry flavored one. Since we were in a «Russian» restaurant I decided to try the Chicken Kiev which was highlighted in the menu as a Russian Classic. The chicken was good but the filling was very heavy. The rice pilaf that the chicken was resting upon was very dry and I barely touched it. Both of my friends ordered the Salmon Kulebyaka and they both had the same reaction — mediocre. I guess we should have taken the waiter’s advice about the filet. Although we passed on desert, our waiter was kind enough to lead us to the ice vault for an espresso flavored vodka shot. This made our night and is the reason I gave the place 3-stars instead of 2. I had read about the ice locker in other reviews and was very curious about it. When we first arrived there was a group in «the room» doing shots. In the dining room we were seated next to a group who basically said it was a $ 200 photo-op(the room is supposed to be for those who purchase a bottle of vodka). Before we entered we were given full length fur coats(there were other coats available for those who don’t wear fur). I believe the waiter told us the room is kept at 20 degrees. He poured our shots and took several pictures of us looking glamorous in our minks and then downing our shots. It was great! I would recommend this place for drinks and appetizers. The décor is great and the martini menu is plentiful.

Wanted to have a nice dinner out and was not disappointed at all. As anyone could guess the place specializes in vodka. Lately it’s been my drink of choice so I was ready. I had a fantastic vodka drink called a Siberian Forest. The appetizer was also wonderful. It was a seafood sampler, jumbo shrimp, king crab claws, and oysters with caviar. For the main course I had a fantastic Chicken Kiev. The chicken was tender and stuffed with cheese, herbs and butter. The rice and port reduction sauce was so good. Dessert was Strawberries Romanoff, fresh strawberries in whipped cream with Grand Marnier Sabayon. After dessert we ventured into the ice closet for a few vodka shots. We were given soviet style military jackets and fur coats. We were also given free photos of the event sent to our email. The restaurant itself was beautiful. Decked out in soviet style workers party posters, symbols of the red star and hammer and sickle. The place is coloured red and lights are dim giving it a very cool feel. I really enjoyed this experience.

My first trip to Atlantic City was with my fellow cast mates on L&OSVU. We all traveled here from NYC in a Limo. It ROCKED. After some poker in a private vip area– we were summoned by the main man-that our dinner reservations were ready. Off we went to Russia Red Square. The ambiance makes you feel like your in a super hot night club, where supermodels would be walking around in skimpy outfits. however, the patrons here were more curvy and sexier and wore alot of Leopard.(I think it’s a Jersey thing) but there we were, in Russia so I had to order something with Vodka in it.. Everything is red, cold and vodka is poured into everything. Steak & asparagus was delish, the shrimp were huge and the food was top of the line. We were off in a special little nook for people who are needing privacy– but really the entire place was pretty nice and private. I loved it here… The bathrooms are pretty nice too.

I love the scene at this place… we spent part of my Bachelorette party here as well as my friend who just got married. Yes, it is outrageously expensive because you’re in Atlantic City in the Quarter. The bartenders are fabulous… the drinks are excellent — The Sputnik 1 is a favorite and I don’t even like raspberries!

Trying to get caught up on my Unilocal reviews for the past two months, I was sitting here racking my brain trying to remember where my boyfriend and I ate when we were in Atlantic City. It took me over an hour to remember that it was– AHA! Red Square… but oh… what did we eat?!? Called my boyfriend and read him the menu. Nope, he couldn’t remember either. My point? The meal just wasn’t memorable. All we could remember was that it was insanely over-priced and the bottled Fiji water was 8 dollars instead of the usual 2. After perusing the menu, I remembered that we opted for the $ 353-course Prix Fixe menu. If you opt for a la carte, you WILL wince when you get the check. The food is good and the ambiance is nice, but there is a disequity in quality, price and portion size. The only part of the meal that wowed me was the lobster bisque. Everything else was just MEH given what we paid for it. The one thing I did love was the cozy wrap-around booths and dim lighting which were perfect for a romantic meal.

I would totally recommend this place to people visiting AC. Maybe I’m not an «Atlantic City» expert, but I think this is one of the better non-chain choices in AC. I thought the«red» décor was nice. The food was very good, I had the beef stroganoff. It was delicious! Overally, their food is a bit too pricey. But the best part of this place is definitely the drinks! I had a «Black and White Russian.» MMM!

Great restaurant located in The Quarter at the Tropicana. The bar has nice décor and good service. Its pretty cool when you can see all of the different types of vodkas they serve from all over the world. After a few minutes at the bar we were seated. For an appetizer we had the Siberian Nachos and Steak Tartar both were very good. The Siberian nachos were 6 individual pieces of «nachos» topped with salmon, caviar and some other good mixes. The Steak Tartar came unmixed which the waiter mixed in front of us. Dinner I had the strip steak, medium rare and I must say this is one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while. Steak cut through like butter and keep in mind this was not a Mignon. It came with a side of cut baked potatoes which complemented the steak. Desert we had a cheesecake which was moist, nothing special but definitely worth trying if you are in the mood for cheesecake. For an after dinner drink we had the chocolate martini which had a good kick to it. It was actually refreshing. Overall I had a good time here. The service was great, atmosphere was delightful, food and drinks good. I would come back again.

what is the point of having ice built into the bar if you can’t stick your drink into the ice to keep them ice cold? I was thinking/dreaming that stemless martini glasses, that you could keep ice cold when not drinking would be so slick, but no such luck. Bottles of vodka are kept ice cold, but the fridge behind the bar also does that. The drinks were good. I would highly recommend the pepper infused vodka in the blood mary, it was very good. Can’t speak to anything else as that was all I had.

The food was ehhh. Nothing great for a 35 – 40 entrée. With today’s price marks a bit more is expected. We ordered the one chicken entrée that had some sort of stuffing thing, not sure what it was since my chicken didn’t have any. We also ordered the crab and pasta entrée which was good but it seemed more avg for the price. I think I may be a little spoiled as a New Yorker with so many great places around me. Things that were great: the hostess and our waiter were really great. Our drinks were very good. The food was just a little bit of a let down. Nothing was bad but after dropping 300 you would expect to walk out feeling that you had a great meal.
