I stayed at the Atlantic palace with my boyfriend and decided to stop by here for a quick bite before we started gambling. As soon as we walked in, the hostess was casually leaning on the counter with 2 people behind it. No hello, no look. I had to clear my throat to grab her attention and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. She looked at us and I said«dining in» and she had a look of confusion. She looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. She stared at her an older lady which I’m assuming was her manager as if she didn’t know what she was doing. My boyfriend got annoyed and we basically walked out and all I heard was«oh well. I guess they’re not joining us.» Of course the F not. Crap service. No wonder Atlantic city is struggling due to morons they hire here.

Pizza was ok. Ordered buffalo chicken pizza and a quesadilla. They never made the quesadilla and tried to overcharge me $ 2 for the pizza. Pizza is doused so much hot sauce it is dripping off. When I alerted her about my quesadilla, I just asked for my money back, since she didn’t care. She tried to give me back the wrong amount. Just shady. Pizza is ok but expensive.

I really wanted to like this place but I just couldn’t stomach the food. I ordered eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. The food runner said the hashbrowns were home-made… They were tater tots. Also, my scrambled eggs came out cold and tasted terrible. The bacon was decent. The server never came out to check on us so I couldn’t even tell him that the food was cold. We had to get our check from the food runner. We ate outside and the hostess who was wearing a tube top(which I find very unsanitary) was standing by our table. A passerby asked how our food was. I said loudly enough for the hostess to hear that the food was cold and tasted terrible. The hostess said and did nothing to get our server or help with the situation. Great location, terrible food and service.

This boardwalk based bar is a causal, inexpensive spot that has a great brunch and World Cup soccer at the bar. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. The brunch drink specials were much appreciated and the food was excellent. Definately a good spot to check out while walking the boards.

Love this place and we tend to hit it up every time we are in town. Nothing fancy going but tasty.

This place was funny. Maybe it’s because it’s the off-season? The menu was really interesting, and we were starving. Everything looked good — so many great options! Maybe we’ll order some crab cakes, maybe the crab-spinach eggs benedict? Oooh nice. Until the waitress was like, no, we don’t have crab here. Ok, understandable. My friend: «How are the mussels?». Waitress«Um, I don’t know, no one has EVER ordered those. And we don’t have tuna, either». Hmmm. Maybe we stick to the breakfast menu, that’s simple, right? Waitress«ok, but we don’t have any french toast and no pancakes». My other friend«can you just tell us what you do have?». Waitress: nervous laughing and smiling. My 3rd friend ordered egg white veggie omelet. Yeah, that came out regular, no whites. I ordered a simple spinach goat cheese omelet. It was pretty good. But I was excited for hash browns, which turned out to be tater tots. Everything turned out ok, wasn’t that big of a deal, it was just a little bit of an odd experience. Probably because the menu, um, lies?

We tried this place for breakfast and loved it. The food was delicious(I had cinnamon crusted french toast), the coffee fresh, and the service prompt. I liked the cute Italian styled décor. We’d go back!

I absolutely love this place. We came here because we were on our way to Bill’s Gyro for breakfast. And then we saw their special«$ 4.99 breakfast». and it was true, it was a hearty«American breakfast» as they call it. Had 2 eggs, your choice of meat, toast, and the home fries that had a bit of rosemary in it. We ordered 2 of those and a side of french toas. All were $ 4.99 each. The«gourmet» coffee was expensive though; $ 2.79 for a cup. It’s almost not worth getting it because if you don’t get a refill or two, its more expensive than your food! Anyway, we loved this place so much we came back the next day and brought our friends. I ordered the same thing but this time with a side of waffles. My friend had the cheese fries [imagine cajun spiced fries with cheese on top] and some buffalo wings. The décor was nice, clean and updated. Modernized. Far from all the other diners or food joints on the boardwalk. The cook and the lady in the front were both so sweet. Please visit them! They make good food and its a great place to eat.

A beautiful place to sit out on the boardwalk and have breakfast! The service was fast and friendly and the food was fresh! Eggs cooked perfectly, crisp bacon and perfect french toast! We can’t wait to go back!

During our stay at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, we went to go get brunch. We just picked the place when we were walking on the boardwalk. There is really not much to say about this place. We had fresh fruits, pancakes, egg benedict, and some juice. Nothing special. Nothing great about it.

The breakfast was pretty good. The eggs benedict were great; choc chip pancakes were ok; sweet potato fries were just ok as well, but all pretty decent and cheap for AC boardwalk. Only problem I had was paying for water, which was $ 1 per bottle.

The dude and I visited on a Saturday afternoon to redeem our complimentary breakfast coupons offered by Atlantic Palace Suites. I read the reviews, so I wasn’t expecting much. But, free is free, so what did we have to lose? Service was lackluster, with the exception of one very attentive busser. I ordered the parfait which consisted of granola(a crumbled up granola bar), yogurt, blueberries, bananas, and strawberries.(The dude ordered a breakfast platter with eggs, toast, sausage and bacon. Almost immediately upon finishing our meal, the dude observed a kitchen employee eating at the salad station– reaching his un-gloved hand into the lettuce container and eating the lettuce. The dude prompted for me to turn around and I witnessed the same thing. Through the expo window, we watched the employee continue to enjoy his lunch until another employee who saw us gawking nudged him. At which point, he stopped. Yikes! Fortunately, our food was not prepared at the salad station. Unfortunately, we did not feel comfortable redeeming our complimentary breakfast coupon the next morning and were not offered alternative meal arrangements by Atlantic Palace Suites.

Great gelato to cap off a nice meal. We ordered a Turkey melt on sourdough and a Turkey club. Fries were good. Understandably, no tap water. Exactly what I would expect in a high density tourist attraction. Friendly service.

I was very surprised by the negative reviews of this place! My husband and I had breakfast there this past Saturday and it was a great experience. We both ordered the Italian omelet(Italian sausage, spinach, roasted peppers and mozzarella cheese) which came with rosemary hash browns and toast… The omelet was delicious and perfectly cooked and the hash browns were some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was attentive and the food came out quickly. My only complaint is the portion sizes — the omelet was half the size of other 3 egg omelets and they didn’t give us enough hash browns. I will definitely go back to Tommy’s!

I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt because friends of ours go here and say it’s not that bad but I wasn’t impressed. For the amount of money we spent on breakfast($ 30) I could have gotten something A LOT better. The waitress was really nice, I liked that. The food, mediocre. I could make better Belgian waffles at home. Mine was really dry and flaky, the scrambled eggs were good. Orange juice is very concentrated and bland, disappointing. Home fries are okay if you add a lot of salt and ketchup. I wouldn’t go again unless our friends wanted to again. It’s nice that it’s on the boardwalk but not worth the price.

Pressed for time and desperate for an immediate lunch we saw that Tommy’s was the only place on the boardwalk that didn’t have a line. We were drawn in by its emptiness and meal specials written on its chalkboard conveniently placed outside. When we walked in, we placed our orders immediately and told the waitress that we were in a rush. We asked: «Is it possible to rush our orders a bit? We have a bus to catch» Her response: «The cooks will get to your orders in the position I placed them in» That was pointless. The restaurant also sat us next to a war veteran who wore a Vietnam war hat. He continued to heckle my table asking if we were Vietnamese and spouting something or another. The waitstaff did nothing to diffuse the situation so we tried our best to just ignore him. I ordered the crab meat omelet and if they didn’t tell me there was crab in it on the menu, I wouldn’t have tasted it. I felt like I just paid $ 10 for eggs and some home fries. We should have taken the sign of the empty tables as a warning rather than an invitation.

Pretty much as bad as a meal experience can be. My friend and I were in Atlantic City for the first time and decided to eat at Tommy’s because of the promising menu and the decent amount of customers inside. Because my friend is vegetarian and wanted to try something new, she decided to order the Brooklyn Egg and Peppers sandwich, which I wasn’t crazy about, but I’m pretty much willing to try anything. The first thing we noticed when we sat down was the insane number of flies buzzing around our table and the wall behind us. Suffice it to say that it was a little unappetizing to say the least. And then we noticed after about 10 minutes that our sandwich had not arrived yet. And then another 10 minutes passed. And then another 10 minutes passed. Finally, after 30 minutes of waiting for one simple egg and peppers sandwich and not getting approached once even though we kept trying to wave down service members, my friend finally approached one of them and asked about our order. As it turns out, they forgot to put in our order. No apologies and not much effort to make us feel any better about their service. Fine, so we waited about 10 more minutes, and our sandwich finally came out. I have to say the name of the sandwich did not lie. It was a roll with some egg and a few green bell pepper slices in it. It was incredibly bland, and we could only eat it by slathering on a whole lot of ketchup to add some sort of taste. So about an hour later, we walked out unsatisfied with our lunch and sad about how much of our time we wasted in Tommy’s.

This place was practically a crime against humanity. It was decently busy, and wanted a cheap and quick breakfast on the boardwalk. Quality wasn’t the top priority, right? Weeeeellllllllllll — - I was feeling a tad hung-over so I did something crazy: I ordered the Caesar Salad, with grilled chicken added. HOLYSHIT was that a mistake. The salad was a few overly large leaves of lettuce nominally covered in something that may or may not have been Caesar dressing, with a few handfuls of obviously frozen chicken chunks on top, possibly just thawed under warm water. Rubbery, flavorless. If we hadn’t waited approximately nineteen months to receive our food– while already pressed for time– I would have complained. It was at Tommy’s that I came to a theory that was tested again and again: that the places on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, by and large, being for tourists and not a community of locals, can get away with being just absolute shit-holes. Without Jane and Dick from the block to warn everyone that this place is nothing but a joke(and possibly a stomach-busting mistake), they get away with fleecing everyone and serving food that is only technically edible. Well, Tommy’s, you’ve gone too long without public opprobrium. Welcome to Unilocal, enjoy your stay!

We were looking for a quick and easy breakfast on the boardwalk. What we got was painfully slow service and mediocre customer service. Breakfast was priced respectably, but it was difficult to navigate the menu. Nothing offered a nice mix of meats, eggs, fries and pancakes — so I ordered the pancakes that came with eggs and a side of home fries. The home fries came 20 minutes later in a french soup dish and I poured my eggs on top. The pancakes saved this meal for me — sweet, fluffy, buttery, not dry. I added a light drizzle of syrup and was in heaven. Until I smelled the water. I don’t know if this is all of Atlantic City or just a problem of Tommy’s, but my god! The water smelled like cigarette smoke! And appeared to be yellowed with age. Nearly turned me off to my food all together. Skip out on this place — there must be a better breakfast place nearby!
