Avoid the crowds and the jerks at the big theaters. Friendly neighborhood theater.

Cutest and cleanest theater ever, and after the movie the owner was out front telling us he hoped we enjoyed the movie as we left. Recommend 100%.

I adore this theatre. It makes going to the movies relaxing and fun again. It is small and quaint, but offers all the amenities of a large theatre. Oh, and the movies are actually affordable.

This is my favorite movie theater. Some of my children are lured by the reclining chairs at the mall, but my hubs, my eldest and I choose this spot every time. The biggest benefit is you can go there the night a movie opens and actually get tickets. That’s not saying it won’t be crowded, but you don’t have to decide on a movie weeks beforehand in order to get a seat. The prices are super reasonable. They have $ 5 Tuesdays. It has a quaint, old time feel and it is family owned and operated. All positives in my book. We’ve even had birthday parties here. It’s great!

Best local theater, never crowded for matinees, all first run films and reasonable prices(except for, of course, popcorn) ! Old school seats clean bathrooms family owned and operated. I much prefer this to the mega theater chains…

Used to work here way back in the day but glad to see its still up and running. Fair prices for tickets. Food is a bit pricey but definitely a nice quite little theater.

Used to be an old school single screen now 5 screens, but they have done a decent job.( ) Pros: Great location, cute town, projection looked flawless, price is right. Plenty of free parking nearby and places to eat before movie(looking to go to Kunya Siam Thai next time) the kids working there were all friendly. Cons: Popcorn tastes stale and soda not enough fizz. I will skip both next time.

We used to love this theatre as it was quaint and friendly, and worried that it would close because it isn, t always crowded. But now it appears to be destined to fail. At our recent weekly trip with our kids, one of the teenage counter boys told us that there were no longer refills on our large drinks and popcorn. The other young man there said no, he had told us earlier when we bought them there were refills on the large. But the other boy said no, and proceeded to throw the popcorn in the garbage! If this is truly the new policy, it’s crazy as the popcorn and soda only really cost them 25 – 50 cents, and the profit with the $ 10 to buy the first will never be eaten by refills. Plus, in addition to bad business sense, it was bad manners to throw the popcorn out, especially in light that the other boy didn’t agree and told us to buy the large. It’s now worth it to head to red bank or Monmouth Mall, and keep the kids happy and quiet with the refill. It’s sad that bad management decisions or poor service by rude teenagers ruined a nice little theatre for the family

I used to be weary of this theater in my teenage years because it didn’t have all the«bells and whistles» of a Loews or Regal or the Hazlet multiplex. But as I’ve grown older(well, I’m only 22), two things have become more important to me in theater-going: cheap, and no hassle. This theater is just right, if its showing the film you want. First, Atlantic Highlands is a gorgeous, perfect town to begin with. Once you get dinner, or an awesome pastry at the Flaky Tart, you can walk right in. There may be a crowd of kids on a busy/non-school night, but its not as annoying as outside any major theater. My boyfriend and I love to come here on Tuesday nights because its only $ 6 for any showing, and it isn’t crowded. The size of the theater is just right & they show, get this, only ONE preview and NO commercials! It’s a frickin’ miracle, right? They have the usual over-priced candy, so I’d skip that, however. Last I remember their popcorn tasted like the equivalent of an industrial bag from Costco — very artificial. But I ain’t judging on popcorn. They don’t show their films in «digital projection» — it’s legit old school reeled film. Also, they have these cute red curtains that open and close once the movie is over. So, yeah. Come here, especially on a Tuesday night! Support a local business!
