Poor service. Rude owner bland food. Soo understaffed. Not enjoyable. Supposed to deliver to units asked and said no. Waited 30 mins and both orders wrong

Garbage. Bad coffee tasted day old or more. Rancid sauce on eggs benedict. Scorched omlette which was very overcooked and tasted reheated. Scorched and overcooked homefries that tasted reheated multiple times. Good service. Good ambience. Uncomfortable chairs. Restricted access to restrooms like at a gas station. Gilchrist is a ton better.

I’ve been here twice and we loved the food, however, when we went to go for a third time this past Sunday(7÷12÷15) before heading home, we were turned away. We showed up at about 8:10 and there was a young woman at the door. We asked if they were open since it says they open at 8:00 but no one was in there and someone was arranging tables, and she said yes, but they had a large party last night and were still cleaning up and that the chef just showed up as he had a delivery to make. We were very disappointed. Clearly it would have taken a while to get the grill going and breakfast served, so we went elsewhere. I would think if you have a party at night you would certainly make sure you are ready to open the next morning, especially on a busy Sunday when people like to go out to eat. Will probably still go back since the food is good, but maybe the management of the staff could use a little help.

Great new place to eat in Ventnor. Parking a little difficult but Short Hills is worth it. Delicious food, large potions, excellent service and pleasant ambiance. Will definitely return.

Just what we needed in Ventnor! An easily accessible, delicious, convenient Jewish style deli. We’ve been eating here since the first week in March, when they initially opened on weekends. Have had several each of their breakfasts, lunches and even dinners. Outstanding, filling portions. Breakfast bagel and lox, or eggs, breakfast meats and potatoes or waffles and pancakes have all been wonderful. Lunches of corn beef sandwiches, BLTs and turkey clubs have been delicious. Corned beef, roast beef, turkey and other items are all roasted or cooked in their kitchen. Couldn’t be better if we were in New York at Katz’s or Carnegie deli. For dinner, I had their garlic ribeye with sides which was delicious, tender and tasty and my wife had the salmon which was equally excellent. I work in Center City Philadelphia and I am used to good eats at places like Davio’s, Butcher & Singer, Capital Grill, Tres Scalini(downtown) and Famous Fourth Street. The new Short Hills deli in the 5000 building, compares very favorably in taste and quality to each of those. While I don’t want to lose our table, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Run don’t walk to their door.
