This place has become worthless and unreliable since the owner passed. They are hardly open, with no rhyme or reason to the schedule, and when they are open they are short-staffed and slow service. Plus, they take cash only so when their ATM is out of order(often), you’re out of luck. Nothing like standing in the cold or rain waiting for the train with a perfectly big station sitting empty and locked. Time to sell the place to people who actually want to be in business!

I’ve been commuting to Boston for 20 years. In the last six or so I’ve been going to Attleboro to catch the train. Before I hop on the train, I grab a cup of coffee at Dian’s Depot, a lil ‘mom & pop’ hometown coffee shop in the station hut. The customer service from Dian’s is superb! I tend to run against the clock and as soon as the young lady spots me she’s already making my coffee(flavor of the day, 1 sugar & cream). With hundreds of customers a day, she makes me feel super special by greeting me with a smile and remembering my coffee. My day starts pretty early so she sets my day off right with her sweet attitude and thoughtfulness. Definitely worth the few cents extra for coffee over the big chains. Support small businesses who care about their customers.

I’m from the town over, and have been commuting since 2009 and just recently relocated to Attleboro. Mansfield train station(I’m grouping the two) pales in comparison; bathrooms are nicer and cleaner for one. The ladies that work there are welcoming and friendly for another. The main reason I’ve given Dian’s Depot three stars is the little take a book, leave a book library, which is nice but I plan on adding some, and plead for others to do the same, as it hasn’t changed in a while. That being said, Dian needs to reevaluate his prices. I got a large tea which is apparently the same price as every other size they offer, with no additional bag. Which means… that’s right, we are all being charged for water. It was still fairly cheap but why not make all tea the price of a small, or a large for that matter? I don’t care if you charge me more, just don’t BS me. Makes no sense. Also I ordered a black tea with milk and sugar and what did I get? No milk. No sugar. The girl tried to argue with me that black tea means nothing added. If I was ordering coffee-sure; alas, I was not. For those of you who care(no one), black tea is a variety, not a description as with coffee. Dian also advertises Twinging’s Tea and provides *&^%$(ROUGHLYTRANSLATED: «SHITTY») Lipton Tea. The ol’ bait and switch if you ask me.

It is a convenient place to grab a coffee or breakfast treat in the morning before jumping on the train north. The availability of restrooms and escape from the elements also adds to the rating. My larger issue is the refusal of the staff to use customers reusable coffee mugs, citing fake health codes. I sir am no health inspector but when every Dunkin’ Donuts I have ever done business with allows me to use my own mug I know this is not a real issue. To that I have a hard time having a coffee relationship with a business that forces single use coffee cups and plastic lids on me.

I come here every day. Love these ladies. Super sweet. Great little joint to hit up right before you pop on to the train. Keep up the good work Girls!
