I prefer to support small, family owned businesses. My experience with Passadori’s will make me reconsider this from now on. My transaction to purchase a washer/dryer in 2011 gave me pause. My daughter was with me and we discussed at length — the owner, Steve, had made us feel like long ago service where customers were truly respected. I am not going into all of the details(3 weeks worth) but the washer broke after 3 years which everyone expects appliances to last longer than that. Please know — I selected a relative bare bones — no fancy computerized gizmos etc. Cannot contact Frigidaire for help because Passadori’s does not employ someone who is certified by Frigidaire. After one promise after another(don’t worry, I’ll take care of this, I’ll pay for the part and multiple other offers) bottom line is the time frame strung out(me without a washer entire time) and Steve wanted to sell me a new washer on sale — research discovered his sale price was the regular price everywhere. Reviews — multiple — were all negative with the exception of 2. With all of Steve’s promises, failure to return calls timely etc — he new I am a disabled senior with limited income — he offered to set up payments I could afford. I thought he meant a store account where I would not have to pay finance charges(minimally) to him accusing me of stabbing him in the back. DONOTBEFOOLEDBYTHEHIGHSTARRATINGS — READTHEM — THEYAREALLABOUTTHEHARDWARESTORE! They are very expensive — every set I considered I found elsewhere at least $ 100 cheaper.

Tons and tons of cool stuff. I love the old time hardware store feel. Not a whole lot of a single item due to the size of the store but a wide variety of stuff. Granted sometimes the service is lacking because there are few employees but they will help as much as they can.

This is a great hardware store. The employees really know their stuff. Their prices are little higher than the large chain stores, but if you have a repair question for a Passadori’s employee chances are these guys know how to repair it …The large chain store employees are lucky if they even know what the part you are needing looks like.

These guys are completely incompetent !!! They special ordered a non returnable part for my oven before verifying the part was the problem. They did not tell me the part was a special order item. They charged me $ 85 for a service call and left me with a $ 145 unusable part! Do not ask Passadori to think before acting, it is beyond their ability !

Great customer service and most the guys here know how to do pretty much anything if you need to ask a question. Prices are really high.

Love Passadori’s Hardware Store! These guys are fantastic and will happily order what you need if they don’t have it. A true old time local hardware store full of esoteric stuff you can’t live without. Great service with a smile too.

I was looking at couches at Passadoris. Concerned that the ultrasuede fabric would be hard to clean, Jimmy Passadori told me he would treat the sofa with a soil protector. «Like Scotchgard?» I asked. «Better» he said. With that, I bought the couch. I called later to coordinate delivery time and reminded saleslady Joanne that the sofa was to be fabric protected. She checked with Jimmy and told me that it had already been sprayed. The couch was delivered three days later and is beautiful. Today I took cushions in to store to show how they absorb water like tissue. We sprayed half of a pillow with scotchgard, waited, poured water on it, and it was obvious which half was not protected. Jimmy then denied he ever told me it was to be protected. Then they tried to talk me out of treatment, saying that the fabric treatment is not good for the fabric nor good for my home. I have another sofa of same material from KGs and Scotchguard Brand did fine. Then Jimmy held the door open for me to leave. As I stood and stared at him, Jimmy said«Am I missing something here?» Yes Jimmy Passadori, you are missing something here– the GOODCUSTOMER award. If you do biz here, I suggest you get any verbal promises in writing. Deal with Joanne, not Jimmy as his memory is failing. As for me, I will take my business elsewhere… Fairness update. Still angry, I went back and spoke with the other Passadori brother, Steve. He agreed to send his crew out and respray my couch. The crew told me that they remembered spraying my couch themselves, one said he remembered it was still damp when they delivered it. But delivery was three days after Jimmy said it had been done, so someone was a fibber. So I had them do it again anyway, under my observation. They use a little spray bottle and normally charge 70 bucks, using a few ounces of material. Jimmy has said he would«throw that in» to close the sale. New Update: Still Angry three days later, today I went to Hansens Furniture, their competitor. Owner there took the time to listen to me and defended the Passadoris by explaining to me that some stain blockers do not cause water to bead up like Scotchgard, and Passadoris may have been AOK all along, depending on the brand of stainblocker they use. MYEXPECTATIONS were that the treatment would cause water to bead, not absorb. In fairness, Passadoris probably did deliver as promised all along. Because Jimmy P’s customer service skills are so lacking and he caused me such grief when there was no need, I keep my 1 star rating and next time will buy from Hansens or KGs where they at least understand how to manage customer expectations. Even though I was sloppily attired, Hansens treated me like a customer. Sorry Steve, he’s your brother and you gotta love him. As for me, I’ll shop Hansens.

This is a large hardware store. I didn’t do any price comparisons, but it will certainly have what you’re looking for in the hardware department.
